Hotel Rapallo

Our first time in Florence and staying here made our experience even better. It wasn’t too far from the city center, our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and beautiful. We had a problem and they were very swift to fixing it. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was delicious, the coffee was amazing, we loved everything about this hotel. Very nice place to stay while in Florence. Thank you!

We stayed at the hotel Rapallo from the 8th - 13th June 2025. We could not fault the professionalism of the staff, the hospitality and the atmosphere, all were exceptional. Nothing was too much for the staff. The quality of the rooms and cleanliness, outstanding. Breakfast was 10/10. I would highly recommend this hotel, great location and a memorable stay. A few minor recommendations, the WiFi speed could be faster and the bar open later than 10pm would be good.

My husband and I just recently stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Florence. We were so impressed with the welcome greeting we received upon arrival. The front desk staff assisted with unloading our luggage for your taxi and welcomed both of us with a hand shake. We were excited to have been able to check into our hotel room early (almost 4 hours earlier than their standard check in time). The lobby area and our room were spacious and clean. Breakfast was a nice assortment of pastries, fruit, cereal as well as some made to order items. My only complaint about the hotel was they seemed to have a problem with gnats. I noticed a number of small gnats flying around in the dinning room and made eating certain items less desirable. We noticed a lot of gnats on the fruit, so we just stayed away from that. The hotel is ideally located about a 5-10 minute taxi from the train station. You can walk to/from hotel/train station but not desirable with bulky luggage because of the narrow sideways. The main town and il Duomo is about a 10-15 minute walk. Overall a good experience and a worthwhile stay if you want to be close enough to town but just outside the mass of tourists.

We had a great stay at Hotel Rapallo. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was wonderful with a variety of things to eat. The location was good, not far from the main train station, making early day trips easier. We walked to all the sites and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is charming. It is situated in a convenient neighborhood of Florence. All the staff members where very friendly. The rooms are perfectly sized and clean, the breakfast is great.
I have nothing bad to say about this place.

First of all, this convenient environment is good! It is also a hotel with a view of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Leaning Tower is right outside your door.

but! Very unreliable

On the first day we arrived, we were stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes. We couldn't get out. The elevator door couldn't be opened. The buttons were all black and it was difficult to contact anyone. After arriving, the staff taught us how to force it to open. If you Not being able to understand English or Italian will really break you as a foreigner! After pressing the force button, it will still fall after all are destroyed! The first reaction after getting out of the elevator was that I felt sick and wanted to vomit.

The next day was even funnier. We told the hotel front desk a day in advance to ask them to book a taxi for us the next day and drop us off at the station! The hotel said that there was no need to make a reservation, and that it would only take 5 minutes to make a reservation that morning. However, we arrived 15 minutes before the next day. As a result, we were unable to make a reservation for almost half an hour, which directly caused us to miss the train and lose more than 100 euros. ticket price

Cannot say enough great things about this hidden gem!

Incredible staff. Incredibly clean rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Free waters restocked daily in your room (both still & sparkling!). Close proximity to all the great sites. I could go on and on. My husband and I still talk about how great our stay was here.

Enjoyable stay in a comfortable centrally located hotel. Good value for money and ideal for sightseeing. We especially enjoyed the complementary tea coffee and snacks every afternoon.

Excellent service, and it’s close to the scenery.
