We had become accustomed to hotel staff greeting us and asking us if we needed anything. This is not the case in this hotel.
There is no coffee or tea offered in the room. We were given complimentary bottles of water.
I did not mind so much that the hotel was dated. What bothered me the most were the stains in the rugs/carpets in the room and the elevators. Deferred maintenance is a concern.
The breakfast was pretty basic and some of the pastry offerings did not appear to be fresh. As I began to sit, the chair was not clean. Additionally, a guest decided to bring her dog into the space where we were eating. I don't mind pets but NOT in an enclosed area where food is being served.
Otherwise, the hotel is in a very good location.

Rooms wino heating at the end of October and with no coffee machine inside the room. They haven't sostituded the refrigerator things so we had to buy water.
Most of the reception staff without will to explain basic things .
We read others’ reviews from 2 months ago prior to traveling about the occurrence of
finding bed bugs. We tried to cancel but were outside the window for refund so our tour agency suggested we try it out. We were diligent and checked the bed, sheets and mattress upon arrival. They seemed clean/ clear. There was a distinct smell to the room. We spent one overnight and awoke in the morning to find 3 bed bugs within 1 hour of waking. We caught 2 of 3 alive and left them trapped under glasses in the bathroom and took photos/videos as proof. We found 2 on our clothing (outfits that had been in the closet and on the desk) and 1 crawling the fabric wall. We immediately packed up and told the front desk.
Staff apologized but were NOT surprised! I repeat they were NOT surprised and did not ask for proof! They offered nothing but to call us a taxi and charged us the city tax for the night before as we had already paid for the room through our tour/ travel agency. We stayed in Room 234 on 8/30/2024. I bet someone is staying in that exact room or the room next door right now and hope you see this.
