I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The retro vibe creates such a unique and nostalgic atmosphere.

The breakfast was very good with a great variety of fresh options to choose from, and bedrooms were spacious, clean and offered plenty of space to relax.

If you’re looking for an hotel with character, cozy atmosphere and top-notch service, I highly recommend this one. I’ll definitely be back!

Disappointing Stay, Not Worth 4 Stars

I recently stayed at this hotel, expecting a 4-star experience, but it was far from it. The rooms had steel furniture and no carpet. It felt more like a budget motel than a supposed 4-star property.

One of the most frustrating things was the complete lack of basic amenities. No kettle, no coffee, no tea—something you would expect at even the most basic hotel, let alone one that calls itself 4-star. When I asked the staff about it, they were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to the lack of service.

The overall service was severely lacking. There was no sense of hospitality, and I had to repeatedly call the front desk for simple things that should have been provided automatically. For a hotel that claims to be 4 stars, the service and facilities were absolutely subpar.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, or even basic amenities. There are much better options out there for the price.

THE WORST HOTEL EVER!

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. One day, when I came back to the hotel, I found my iPad and some cash missing. I informed the front desk of the hotel but they did not take it seriously at all while simply repeating "there was nothing we can do".
I filed the official report with the police but the only thing they did was just saying they would check the surveillance camera installed in the hotel.
It felt creepy and unsafe to stay in the room where anyone could invade, so we asked for room change. However, they did not show any hospitality about this accident, simply repeating we needed to wait till the next morning, the manager came to work.
The most disappointing is their demeanor. They simply raised a bar and emphasized they had no responsibility for the theft. They did not show any willingness to help me and my family with this trouble. Unbelievable, this is the attitude you will be experiencing at the 4-star hotel in Italy!! Also, this hotel is not prepared to protect you from any invasion of the robbers or invaders, since they have only a few surveillance cameras at the main hallway, none at the guest room floors.
I would never recommend this hotel to anybody who would be traveling Rome.

Room is perfect. Large, spacious and great air con. Toilet facilities spacious. Service is good, nothing special. Gym here is a bonus. Location is a little far from centre, however using Lime scooters nothing far. Quite cheap to book, so recommended!

What is stunningly beautiful place. The lobby, the two-story chandelier from the ground floor looking down into the basement, the beautiful spiral staircases are all lovely. The salmon colored rooms are gorgeous and feel retro and chic at the same time. But you have to see the breakfast room and the spread. Be sure to leave your phone in your room so that you can enjoy the breakfast and not cause, ruckus for others.

As you enter, you feel it’s a luxury hotel but the staff and services are 1 star. If you are travelling with a baby (under 2), please make sure you take either your own bottle warmer or a water boiler as they have no basic amenities in the room (water boiler, coffee/tea, cups or house-shoes). They have no way to accommodate small children in case they need a way to warm the milk. Upon requesting (almost begging) they said okay you can use the bar for the water. But it also had weird timings. If you need to give your baby milk in the middle of the night, there’s no way. So, please make sure you find a baby friendly hotel somewhere else. Another major issue, they don’t have any ironing facility.

For me, none of the above should qualify as 4star.

We stayed here for 5 days at the end of April 2024 and it was a good experience. Decent location - walkable to major attractions, but a solid 30 mins each way. Front desk can order you cabs though for longer treks (or if your feet just can't handle it that day).

Room was big (and double wide balcony). Brighr colour schemes and I appreciated the washroom had an actual propper door. Water pressure and heat are good. First night was bit chilly and the heat didn't seem to be on, but the covers were sufficient; other nights were fine. I didn't notice too much street/other room noise.

The gym is pretty sad: some cardio machines, small dumbell rack that only goes to ~20 lbs, weird cable machines, a few benches, and one barbell with maybe 50 lbs of plates total. Needs improvement, as for now it seems to just exist to check the box on amenities.
Breakfast was okay, but the bacon is pretty undercooked and is super rubbery + greasy.

Staff were good. I got attitude once, but to his credit, I was being stupid and not understanding, so it's fine 😅

We actually really liked our bed (in contrast to other reviews). It was very firm, like our bed at home, and king size. If you like firm mattresses, our room would be suitable for you.
TV was kinda messed up - third party remote where the buttons didn't correspond to the right function, and the infrared remote receive is on THE BACK of the TV, so you have to point the remote at weird places. The signal/picture quality was also bad with constant processing artifacts. But who goes to Rome to watch TV?

Overall we had a good experience, and I was actually surprised to see the poor reviews, which I only just read. Maybe we got lucky, or maybe the hotel has been improving some things incrementally. Your mileage may vary.

Our only complaint was that centre management have decided to not use their air conditioning. We had a hot few days in Rome and to not be able to adjust your room to the temperature that is comfortable for you seems poor. Therefore sleep was difficult. The staff were nice. Breakfast was fantastic and the location was good.

Quite well hidden from the centre, so it is very quiet. My partner chose to walk into the centre of Rome which probably took about 30 mins. But there is a tram stop nearby (we did not enjoy the trams) but they are very cheap. But you need to buy a ticket from a tobacconist before riding the tram and make sure you validate it onboard. I believe it was 1.5 euros for a certain duration. Taxis also available. Ask the concierge to ring as they will help avoid any potential awkward situations. Being a little outside of the centre, meant that there were some great local cafes and resturaunt which were not really catered to tourists. Great food and very inexpensive. But you may need to brush up on your italian a little.

WiFi needs to be upgraded the speed is really low. The hotel rooms are functional and clean. Good option if you stay 2-3 nights in Rome.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
