The Britannia Hotel

Our stay was fantastic. The staff is amazing. They all went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Alexandra was a phenomenal help to us on so many occasions. We only stayed in Rome for two nights, but will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to our family and friends

Charming , beautifully decorated 4 star hotel near Rome termini station. Nice area . The staff are very friendly and helpful . The breakfast that is included is excellent with all the usual pastries, cakes, cereals , fruit , cheese etc as well as eggs and bacon . Highly recommend . Our room had a terrace too!

Great hotel option about a 14 minute walk from Termini station. We stayed for 1 night upon arrival in Italy, and 1 night on our way back home. Both times our room was clean, wifi was fast, we were able to use the elevator for our bags, and had a great breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful, and arranged us private taxi transportation to and from the airport. It was convenient and pleasant for a quick stop in Rome.

We got into Rome early and the desk staff was so kind to store our luggage and show us the restroom. When we later checked in, again the staff was exceptionally kind, setting up an airport transfer in the morning and promising us a boxed breakfast since we were leaving earlier than the normal breakfast hours. The hotel is a walkable distance to the Trevi fountain and to the metro, so we were able to explore quite a bit of the city in a short time. The room was absolutely lovely, comfortable and clean. As promised in the morning, our ride to the airport showed up on time and a to-go breakfast was ready for us. I would absolutely stay there again.

I can’t adequately express how much we enjoyed our stay with Hotel Britannia, but I’ll endeavor to try!

We arrived in Rome early in the morning via train at the Roma Termini. The hotel was roughly a half mile from the station and we had a gentle hill to ascend with our suitcases, so it was a simple journey.

Check in was at 14:00, but the hotel graciously agreed to hold our baggage until we had access to our room. We asked the concierge/front desk to suggest a restaurant, and, without hesitation, she immediately recommended Osteria Oliva, a small cafe that was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel. She also told us she would phone ahead and make a lunch reservation for 12:30. We still had plenty of time to kill, so we walked to Trevi Fountains, which was within a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Of course, there were thousands of tourists there, so we slowly ambled to the cafe. Holy wow what a treat that was! I’ll post that review separately.

When we returned to the hotel, our luggage was already in our room, and check in was a snap! Our room was on the 3rd floor, but we had a small (very small) elevator, so getting up and down was a simple prospect.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. There was a safe in the closet, an ironing board, and a hair dryer. It also included a wine fridge (with wine available for purchase at a reasonable price) along with a vanity table. In addition, a teapot/kettle was available along with several tea selections.

The shower was spacious and offered an amazingly refreshing rain shower head that had ample water pressure, and hot water in abundance. The bathroom also had a bidet next to the toilet.

Now, this is where the hotel separates itself from the competition …

The hotel also offered free “excursions” of many different varieties. Most were walking tours of the area and explored local cuisine. We attended as many of the complimentary tours as possible, and dearly wished we could attend them all. We thoroughly enjoyed the free tours and would stay at this hotel brand just because we loved the experience. Totally worth it!

The hotel was perfectly situated for walking tours. The Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and so many other sites were all within a 20 minute walk, and with minimal hills to climb. The Vatican was closer to a 50 minute walk.

The hotel also offered an elegant complimentary breakfast that included eggs and bacon (pancetta), ample fruit and pastry selections, three freshly squeezed juice selection (I highly recommend the blood orange juice), along with cappuccinos and lattes, or Cafe Americana.

The staff was eager to be of service and constantly sought ways to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

On our final day, they made a taxi reservation for us, and refused to let us carry our own luggage! I can’t wait to return to my new “home away from home!” We’ll never go to Rome again without staying at Hotel Britannia.

We had a small but quite cozy room on the second floor.
The hotel is small, but the inside is quite beautiful, there are a lot of paintings and, importantly, there is an elevator.
Upon check-in, we received a coupon for a welcome drink from the hotel, a small thing, but nice.
The staff is polite and always happy to help.
I would like to improve the quality of breakfast a little.

A very good hotel, quite central, it was a long walk to the Vatican City but everything else was very near. Breakfast was good, very yummy with lots of different options. The beds were comfy, I think they were memory foam, I slept well every night. I think the rooms also block out the noise as you cannot hear the busy streets of Rome. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, I would definitely return.

Small but perfect. Great place to stay, rooms are small (our room was but i believe there are larger) but have everything you need. The breakfast was first class. Staff unbelievably helpfull, really went above and beyond when it came to helping us.

My family and I stayed at Britannia Rome for 4 days and we loved it! The location is less than 15 minutes (by walking) to the train station with many restaurants near by. The attractions (Trevi foundation & the Colosseum) were close by so it was amazing. But the staff made all the difference in our stay! From the moment we checked in, the reception desk were so attentive and kind and all the staff at breakfast were also so nice! No complaints at all, would stay here again when I visit Rome!
