Hotel Eliseo

I’ve stayed in many hotels, and the mattress was by far the worst mattress I have ever slept on in any hotel. Worse than the futon I slept on in college. And my room stank. Very musty smell. Of course it’s a good location… but because of this I think the hotel has let themselves go a bit.

The worst experience of all times. We checked in at 01:00 in the morning tired and weary. A very unfriendly unwelcoming receptionist took us in. The room was old and disgustingly smelly. Everything in it was old, overused and looked unhygenic. The bed was too small and uncomfortable. The windows are not soundproofed so we were unable to sleep. The bathroom was really bad. The breakfast was the same every day and all sorts of food on the buffet didn't exceed 10 things. All the food was of rhe cheapest worst sorts.

On our second day I asked a staff member if we could change our room and he replied that this is our best room. Well buddy: if that ist ur best, I sure hell can't even imagine what ur worst looks and smells like.
I was before in Rome and I stayed in a 2 star hotel. It was better in every singel thing than this one. In which universe is this hotel a 4 star one?!!!!

Warning this is not a four star hotel. The room was small, dirty, old and had no air conditioning. I was greeted by a host of dead ants as pictured in my review. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people from both inside and outside of the hotel. Half the sockets in the room don't work. The bed is very old and the headboard is just lying against the wall, it's not even attached to the bed. Some of the wallpaper is falling off. There's also just an exposed electric box and what appears to be some blood on the wall.

I would not stay here again. Good location and safe ( it appeared) , but the staff were really not into 'service' . To try and get a smile of of them was tough . The Breakfast buffet view was great , and the ladies nice( this was refreshing ) but the food was very very basic and I didnt even go the last day there . The same 'oldish' apples every morning was the only fruit I could find ever day . I found the room very dusty and oddly there was some other persons clothes in the closet when we arrived ?. This struck me as odd. We stayed there for about 5 days - so I know the hotel well.The dust in the room was "over the top" . Plug in the kettle for a hot tea where they place the kettle , and it throws the breaker system ! I would NOT stay here again. So many basic Hotel infraction and I have pictures ....but I wont get into them as Google would not likely post IF the hotel protested ( which they do . However IF pressed , I WILL post them on other Hotel sites. I declare under oath , The above is a fair, and generous review of my experience at this hotel . I would NOT stay there again. Oddly , I thought Hotel would reach out to me - 6months Nothing ...other than try to protest the rating with Google. Google stood firm. I have pictures ! I would swear under oath this is true and correct !

The worst hotel I have ever been, no Dorman, no free water, very old , unfriendly treatment, no room service, no security. I am wondering how they rated it for 4 stars it should be 3 or 2 star's. I recommend strongly not to stay at this hotel ever yet it's expensive.

I would give this hotel 0 stars if possible! I checked in at 5 pm and the receptionist said the room is ready I walked into a dirty used room with towels everywhere! Then they said we’ll give u another room and it’ll be ready in 5! Waited 25 minutes in the hallway with all my luggage!! Went into that room that was just cleaned! There was hair pieces all over the shower! I walked out and had to book another hotel! It was the worst night of my otherwise memorable Italian trip!

Not sure how this hotel had 4-star rating. It may deserve 2.5 star in North America. The only comfort is the view of Rome from the breakfast room on the top floor (not the breakfast itself).
