Reviews
The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and has all the amenities you need. Great blackout blinds and curtains.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Location is great too, conveniently close to the train station. So overall a very nice stay & a solid choice.
There was a small issue: we booked the jacuzzi each day well in advance. First day was great and the water was hot, but the second day the water was stone cold. They came up to fix it quickly, but said it wouldn’t be heated until 50 minutes later, which was after our reservation.
We asked to make sure the water would be warm for the next day. It was only lukewarm, not as hot as a jacuzzi should be. This was a big selling point for us so it was a little disappointing.
I think more care should be made to ensure the jacuzzi is ready for booked guests.
But overall, we enjoyed the stay. 👍
I am in a wheelchair so my review is heavily writeen from this perspective. This hotel is NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE in the physical sense. Two entrances, both have stairs. Very small elevator which barely fit my power wheelchair. Stayed in Junior Suite which was on an upper floor, but was bigger and I had no problem getting around in it.
Like most of Rome, this building is very old and would fail any ADA specification requirements. But, its Italy, not USA! HOWEVER, I must recognize the outstanding staff who run this hotel! I have always said that accommodation in terms of accessibility is more about the people than the physical environment. Attitude is everything. These folks went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and accommodating. The moment we checked in, the Manager was super apologetic that they were not more accessible. She even put us in the Junior Suite at no extra cost so it would be big enough. They had a metal ramp that they would put down every time I came or went from the hotel. The ramp was honestly pathetic but they would gather as many staff as possible to help me get up or down the ramp.
If you are a guest without the need for a wheelchair, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! The overall experience, location and service were excellent. You will not find better hotel staff more guest-centered! Rooms are nice. Breakfast is okay. Location is great. But staff are what make this hotel worthy of a stay.
Especially Riccardo at the reception was probably the nicest receptionist in a hotel I've ever met and he gave us great tips for restaurants and places to visit.
To top things off there is a nice little Jacuzzi that you can use by talking to the reception.
Our only complaints would be that the rooms are a bit small for the price and could really use more towel hooks.
