Reviews
One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from my room and from the terrace. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or watching the eternal city at night, it offered a postcard-perfect perspective of Rome that made every moment feel special.
Breakfast was another standout, abundant, fresh, and beautifully presented, with options to please every taste. Starting the day with such a treat, accompanied by the warm Roman sun, was pure joy.
The front desk team deserves special praise for their courtesy and professionalism. Every interaction felt genuine, with staff always ready to assist with a smile, offer helpful recommendations, and ensure everything ran smoothly.
My room was exactly what I hoped for, beautifully appointed, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I could possibly need during my stay. It struck the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it a welcome retreat after exploring the city.
In short, the Hotel Marriott Flora offers a blend of prime location, exceptional service, and refined comfort. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel cared for in every detail, and the perfect base for experiencing the magic of Rome.
At check-in, we asked if currency exchange was available at the front desk. The staff member explained they didn’t have exact euros, which I understand, but she suggested going to any nearby bank to exchange money. In reality, it’s not that simple — we ended up finding an exchange place on our own. If the staff doesn’t know the exact location, simply suggesting we Google it would be more helpful.
One highlight was the rooftop restaurant, which has an absolutely amazing view and a modern yet classic décor. Dining there felt special and added to the charm of our stay.
The only other small note: the entire hotel had a baby powder scent. While pleasant, I personally wish they used Marriott’s signature scent, which always feels fresh and welcoming.
Still, the location, service, and rooftop experience make it a wonderful place to stay in Rome.
Imagine being told to buy own stamps and mail a couple of postcards? ‘Go outside to the newspaper kiosk and buy stamps then find a mailbox’. All other 5 star hotels have just put all mail together complimentary.
And water bottles wrongly ordered (by kids) took 3 days to be returned despite repeated attempts dealing with the reception. It was like ‘5-600 Euros a night per room but please pay another XX Euro for water. Ask us to take it back? Wait until they check out and add it to their minibar’.
It doesn’t come close to good value for the rates we’re paying. Sofitel Paris de Fauborg which is much better value dealt with above issues without any fuss.
