UNAHOTELS Trastevere Roma

As a 4 star hotel, it was completely up to my expectations. A very clean, modern well equipped room, although a bit small for two people, modern sleek interior with a cool roof deck. Hotel is well situated to walk to all the busy restaurants. Pictures from the roof deck.

Really nice hotel in a good location in Trastevere. Service was good but we found it varied from room to room ( we had four booked, and some good a turned down service, some hot water refills but others didn’t). Nice rooftop and breakfast.

The hotel was situated near Vatican City using the bus. Buses and trams station were within 2-3 minutes walking distance and one can visit many attractions using buses or trams.
The rooms were small but clean and comfortable.
Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Special thank you to Mr. Eduardo for telling us the best place to visit in short period of time. He was an amazing person and very kind to our family; because of him we visited many places in Rome. All staff members in the breakfast area were great. The rooftop restaurant was a very pleasant starting point for the day.

Beautiful design, spotless rooms, comfortable beds and linens. Very welcoming front desk ladies. They packed us a morning breakfast since we had to leave so early. Great travel experience and would absolutely recommend.

We had an amazing stay at UnaHotels Trastevere Rome! We were there for 1 night on our last day in Italy! First, the hotel allowed us to store our luggage for a few days while we spent a few days in Florence, which was a huge relief. Second, the hotel is gorgeous. It is artfully designed & every decoration seems purposeful & adds to the overall vibe. Third, the room was spacious & the bed was so comfortable. Fourth, the rooftop restaurant & bar were delicious. We are from Ft. Lauderdale where a craft cocktail costs anywhere from $18-$25 dollars each, so we were pleasantly surprised by the affordability. Lastly, staff was super friendly & helpful & everyone spoke English. They called us a shuttle to the airport, had hand written recommendations for local pizza places, & were kind & accommodating to our 18 month old toddler! Thank you all for a wonderful stay! You made our last day in Italy extra special.

Great place to stay! Clean, quiet, helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful rooftop breakfast! And close to main attractions in Rome and local dining and late night bars!

We stayed at the hotel for four nights and had a lovely stay. We would stay here again.

Breakfast - It is best to go early in the morning because it can get quite busy, with queues and waiting for items to be refilled. Also, more care needs to be taken with the tongs to serve the food as if you have strict dietary requirements, the tongs seemed to get muddled and used for multiple items accidentally, for example, the bacon and legume tongs were in the same bowl as well as the cheese and the salad leaves / tomatoes. The soya yoghurt was an excellent option and the bread selection was great.

Staff - All staff were professional and personable. The gentleman in charge of breakfast was very warm, welcoming and uplifting, which made a nice start to the morning! Thank you very much.

Location - The location was superb, with everything within walking distance.

Dinner - We had dinner in the hotel one night. For context, we had many meals out for 55 euros. The meal here, however, cost 97 euros. Although the food was tasty and the service was excellent, I felt it was overpriced compared to the other restaurants we visited.

Cleanliness - The hotel was very clean throughout.

Buffet breakfast was by far the highlight! Not the biggest selection, but they have a bit of everything and to a great quality. Staff were nothing but friendly and helpful! Room was in fantastic condition and looked clean and modern (though there was no shampoo or body wash in our bottles but wasn’t a bother to us). Lovely location that’s within walking distance of centre of Rome but still in a more quiet area.

We stayed here last January and have just stayed here again last week. My review from last year is below, and I wanted to update it after our most recent stay -

Things are just as they were then, and that is a great thing! Our second stay here was very good and we are happy we chose this hotel again. It’s comfortable, in a great location, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. Above all, the rooms are quiet!

The best way I can describe it is like a middle-of-the-road Marriott/Hilton that’s a few years old. You won’t walk away with it having been the best hotel stay of your life, but it’s good enough that you would come back and recommend it to your friends.

Rooms - Spacious, comfortable, clean. The bed is big, on the firmer side and VERY cozy. Slept like a baby. My biggest gripe is that there are stains on ALL the walls. Either people aren’t careful with their suitcases or they cheaped out on the paint. It’s a small thing considering how clean the rooms are, but still worth highlighting.

Location - Superb. Trastevere is our favourite neighbourhood in Rome. You can walk to the busier parts very easily and there are plenty of amazing restaurants nearby. Go to Popi Popi and thank me later!’

Breakfast - A little bit of everything in the buffet. Coffee is a la carte and always made with a smile.

Staff - Friendly, courteous and helpful!

We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Review of our January 2023 stay -

We had a great four night stay in this hotel! The location is superb for exploring Trastevere and Rome – there are fantastic restaurants within walking distance. All the staff we interacted with were very courteous, friendly and happy to help, particularly Jessica who helped us change our room when we realised it faced the inner courtyard and not the street! The building and rooms themselves are new and clean. I was surprised at just how many smudges from people opening suitcases were on our walls (considering how new the hotel is), but I fully appreciate they can’t be patching these up every week (and that some guests might not be that careful).

The breakfast we had included in our stay was great too! You can order as many espresso-based coffees as you’d like and the food is a nice mix of bread, pastries, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon and other bits. It didn’t blow us away, but it’s perfectly fine for starting the day with.

On the day we left there was no problem with leaving our bags at reception after checking out, which was great.

The reason I’ve not given a full five stars is because it would have been nice if there were a few more hot options with breakfast! Perhaps some cooked mushrooms? Other than that, it would have also been nice if the TVs had the ability to cast Netflix/Youtube to unwind after a long day of exploring.

We had a great stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to come back or recommend this hotel to others.
