My granddaughter had a very troubling experience with this hotel. It is located in a bad part of Rome not too far from the train station. She could not get her money back even though she did not even stay in this hotel. I am very happy she was able to find a safer hotel on the opposite side of town but she really should have been refunded if she did not stay in the hotel. If you pay for a service and that service is not provided you should not have to pay.

Five star service for a budget friendly hotel. Would definitely recommend for their service. Rooms are a lil shabby but did the job. They had tile floors which was nice and clean.

My friend and I booked this hotel through expedia. It had decent ratings and the pictures online looked pretty good. We knew it wasn't a Ritz Carlton by any means however it seemed fine when we booked it. We planned to stay from 10/31-11/2 and paid $524.46 total. Once we got to Rome we had to walk about 6 minutes to the hotel which was in a bad area near the train station and in an obscure location between two restaurants. The lobby had names of all different hotels and it was somewhat confusing trying to figure out where we were supposed to be. I went up to the reception area and this man was working by himself and started the check in process. My friend made her way upstairs with the luggage and the man took our passports and started to record information from them on paper...which seemed suspicious because it was taking too long for us to check in...Once I got the passports back I asked this man if when we checked out if someone could help us with our luggage and if he could call a cab for us when we are ready to leave. Well he said no because he is one person and the hotel doesn't offer that type of help/service. Okay, so we go to get on the elevator-mind you we have two large suitcases, 2 carry ons and 2 backpacks and we are trying to cram into a tiny elevator (we fit) however when we were getting into the elevator the receptionist ran out from behind the desk and told us we COULD NOT use the elevator at the same time due to a "maintanence concern". Well sir, how do you want us to use the elevator? He was expecting us to go one at a time with one suitcase each...this was a problem for us because if there is a maintanence concern using the elevator then A. why wasn't it marked out of order? and B. This is now a safety concern because we could have gotten stuck or injured in the process of using it. Well we went up to the room and left the luggage in the hallway by the lobby and the entrance to where the rooms are was pretty sketchy, old, cameras in the corners of the hallway, dirty, rundown etc. The room...Well this room was rundown, dirty, dingy, sheets discolored, and we had a really bad feeling. We rush back down the defective elevator and try to explain to the receptionist that we cannot stay in this hotel due to the safety concerns (location, elevator) as well as the cleanliness of the hotel and we inquired about getting atleast a partial reimbursement because we knew we could not stay here. He said it was impossible and said "If you want to go, go but there is no money back. It's impossible." Very rude and very dismissive of us. There was no winning with this man-I think his name was Mike. Expedia tried to call twice to reason with both this receptionist Mike and property manager Joe i believe and they were incredibly rude and dismissive to them as well. Overall a questionable and somewhat scary experience. DO NOT book a hotel too near the train station and certainly not this hotel.

Much older building, with freshly renovated rooms, offers the convenience of being centrally located. Walkability to the train station (5 minutes), Coloseum, a multitude of restaurants, and vibrancy of the city. Staff was super friendly and inclusive breakfast, perfect. A definite recommendation here.

Elevator did not work. Lots of stairs. Desk Staff did not care and was rude. Breakfast ladies were very polite and delightful. Shower very small. Location is great, laundry, super markets, restaurants galore very easy walk to many sights.

STAY AWAY. Hotel reception tried to scam me by making me pay for the room upon arrival despite having paid through Expedia. I had to argue with reception for over an hour to explain that I had already paid. Finally reception from a nearby hotel had to explain to this man how to receive payments from 3rd party bookings. I did not receive so much as an apology and I still don’t think the receptionist realized that I did in fact pay and he was at fault. Complete incompetence and willful ignorance. Save yourself a headache and stay elsewhere.

Room and bathroom small but adequate, room safe and fridge provided. Great location easy walk to central rail station and great local public transport or reasonable walk to many Rome attractions.

It was the best hotel I could get,the room was clean and nice.you can hear the voices from the street but it is close to the train and bus station, which is great.
The staff was phenomenal! The guy who welcomed us waited for us till late night, keep the parking place in front of the hotel for us and went to the nearest supermarket to buy a wine bottle for my friend in the midnight!!!! Breakfast was good.Great service and highly recommend

Adequate! The room was very clean and the staff was nice. But this supposed 3 star rating is ridiculous. The hallways were a bit loud, as the marble floors really echo the sounds of doors closing, suitcases rolling, etc, so if you are a light sleeper I would definitely bring ear plugs and a white noise machine. Old fashioned does not begin to describe this place, but hey, you came to Rome to experience the past. It's fine for a frugal traveler, but I would not bring an American girlfriend here.
