We stayed at the Locanda Vivaldi during our trip to Venice to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The staff were really helpful prior to our visit and made booking a private river taxi on arrival really easy, and other bookings while we were there.The hotel was clean and had an authentic feel to it. We stayed here for 4 nights. The location was great, with easy access to St Marks square and the Rialto bridge. The rooms were a decent size, with a nice Venetian style to them. Breakfast was served until a decent time (10am), and had a good selection of pastries and cold meats and cheese.

This hotel has great rooms, being fairly priced and nice and spacious. It is in a great location being near St.Marks square in Venice. The staff were also very good and happy to help with whatever. We liked this place. We stayed only one night. The front desk was not staffed when we got there, and we had to wait about 5-10 mins for somebody to come but after that, they were very nice and helpful. Room was spacious and quiet. Location was perfect. Somebody in our group stayed in an single room. It was not quite as spacious, but still a nice room.

The room is old and there is no elevator. I was traveling with my old mother and was arranged a room on the 3rd floor. The furniture was of poor quality and the safe did not work. The stay experience was very poor. I would not recommend it to friends.

The location is a bit far from public transportation, which can be quite inconvenient if you're carrying luggage. However, on the upside, it's very quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the luggage storage service was also a thoughtful touch. They also arrange evening lake tours. A beautiful old style palace boutique hotel. It has some amazing fresco and the state room is worth the entry fee alone. The hotel is centrally located and convenient to arrive by Water Taxi.
