Hotels in Venice

We're Canadian, and stayed here while in Venice and took a two-day trip to Rome. One of the gentlemen working the counter wanted us to leave our key behind but I didnt feel comfortable doing that. I guess thats a "thing" with older hotels in Italy. I liked the room with a balcony and the vintage furniture and decor. Showers needed better pressure but the breakfast was great.

This is a 3 star hotel at best. The rooms are bare bones and in desperate need of update. I wasn’t expecting a huge bathroom, but I could barely fit into the shower. The shower head was broken spraying water in all directions, there weren’t any outlets unless you unplugged other necessary items, and I’m pretty sure the hairdryer predated 1980. location: about 13 mins walk from one of the train stations. close to restaurants and attractions. breakfast: good selection. cleanliness: room and bathroom were clean. 

An old hotel at a very good location included breakfast. We reported the shower head broken the 1st night. But we found it was not replaced after we were out for a whole day. We stayed for 2 nights using the broken shower head!

Check in and out was very easy and we were provided a map with some good details. It's in a perfect location about a 5 minute walk from the train station. The bed was comfortable but the shower was a little cramped. The A/C worked well and the breakfast was very good. We would stay here again.

Enchanting building and amazing staff. From spa services, to delicious coffee and hot milk, the rooms and furnishings, and the care of the staff, everything was perfect!

The Bauer Palladio was away from the maddening crowds of St Marco's square. After 2 weeks on the cruise ship and crowds in Rome and Athens a bit of peace and quiet appreciated before our flight home. A converted 16th century convent. An architectural gem.

Nice rooms and friendly staff, beautiful setting. However food could be better and pool was too cold to swim in.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous! The gardens were an amazing relaxing place to have a coffee, the rooms were small but beautiful as well. The bathroom was stunning, with a great bathtub. Couldn't turn off one of the lights in my room and it impaired my sleep

Location is prime just on the side of San Marco basilica. The entrance of the hotel is from the back side. The only downside they don’t have an elevator from the ground to level 0 where the reception is located, so if checking in late hours there won’t be anyone to help carry the luggage. Beautiful hotel, perfectly located for St Marks square and the main ferry stops. Compact rooms (in our case) but extremely beautiful, clean and comfortable. Staff were fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised from the hotel. The location is perfect. I stayed in a superior double room on the first floor, it was spacious, stylish, beds extra comfortable, very very clean. Even though the room was overlooking restaurants and bars, no noise was heard from outside or from the rooms next door. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent.

Wonderful hotel! Nice location on the grand canal and the views from the rooftop bar are amazing! Highly recommend a water taxi from the train station as the walk includes so many bridges without ramps for rolling luggage (the distance is not so bad without luggage, but the up and down with several bags got old). Excellent stay. Clean, spacious and quiet rooms. Minutes walk from train station. We even got a canal view when we reserve a book for 2 adults and 2 kids. It’s true that any one can go inside the hotel. The lock to the building is often open. But the hotel does feel safe. Very helpful and courtesy staff.

We stayed at this hotel on our wedding anniversary. They left a nice note and cookies for us along with robes and slippers, classy touches. I couldn't get over how well the wood shutters, high quality windows and blackout blinds eliminate all noise and light from the canal. It was very convenient because you could take a water taxi directly to the hotel. You can also take a gondola right in front of the hotel, and it is very close to St. Mark's Square. The hotel is very upscale, the rooms are spacious, and there is a large garden leading to the back door directly to the lagoon. Breakfast and dinner can be served outdoors or indoors. However, there are mosquitoes outdoors due to the dense greenery. The environment is very good, but it is just that you need to go up and down 4 stairs to get to the train station. The hotel booked a taxi boat to the station for 80 Euros per boat. If you are not physically fit/have a limited budget, it is recommended to choose a hotel closer.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We liked it so much that we didn’t want to leave. A very good hotel! It lives up to the advertised quality! Very cozy and clean rooms! The staff is extremely professional. Breakfast is also good, although I would improve it a little. Thank you, guys, for your hospitality!

From the Doge suite, the Grand canal can not be seen from bed, couch or chairs. The only way to see the Grand canal is to stand by the windows since all the windows start at chest height, which for me was very disappointing. The AC works very well and is very quiet.

Love the place. They have very accomodating and friendly staff who go the extra mile to help their guests. Told the staff that if I will stay there again next time. Surprisingly, we were able to take a free private boat to Murano Island, and even had an instructor accompany us to tour the Venetian glass workshop and the attached glass shop (which is more like a museum). The private boat only runs in the morning, once every 30 minutes, and one instructor is assigned to each person on that trip. Luckily, the instructor on our trip was very fluent in Japanese, so...

The frontdesk and bellboy is very helpful with check in and toursit information. There is no lift, but luckily frontdesk manage to arrange someone to help us on the luggage move in when check in and check out. Located Just beside main riverside.

Perfect location, it takes about 5 mins walk from the train station. Room is clean. Receptionist was a bit too over zealous to up sell us. Other than that is fine.
