A truly Venetian experience in every way, made exemplary by the reception team, headed by the most helpful lady ever. We wanted to visit Murano and Burano but Venice transport was on strike the day we wanted to visit! She carefully plotted a route for us and throughout our stay was a constant source of information.
Breakfast was a delightful experience, again the staff were conscientious and obliging...
Loved the staff and location, but they have a rule that you can't bring food into your room. I understand why and that being an old hotel with a lot of guests it makes a burden on the staff, but when we caught something flying there and traded off days being sick, I really hated that we had to go out for food, not only because we were sick, but as a public health professional, I knew we were just spreading...
Overwhelmed by the amount of choice of hotels and apartments in Venice, I procrastinated and left it super late to book our accommodation. I kept looking at this hotel but wasn’t sure about the location. It turned out to be the perfect location, quiet enough to not disturb sleep but central enough to get everywhere within easy walking distance, and only 6min walk to the ferry service to and from airport...
An excellent little hotel on a quiet street in a great location.
5 minute walk to the Fondamente Nuove stop for the water taxi or the airport ferry
15 minute walk to Piazza San Marco
10 minute walk to vaporetto
10-15 minute walk to the lovely wine bars of Cannaregio
Staff is wonderful. Room had A/C, which was key, but could use a bit of an update. Perhaps to be expected for a historic building....
This place was beautiful and it was in a great and quiet location!! We didn't end up using the whirlpool. You do need to sign a rule agreement if you think you are going to use it. We were told upon check in to not bring food or drinks into the room and also to return the room key when leaving the hotel (if all guests are exiting the room). Our room was neat, in my opinion. When you get the room key...
We are pleasantly surprised by this hotel, very well located in the liveliest street in Venice. And on the way back, we understood that there are public boats from the airport to Venice whose station is 10 minutes walk from the hotel.. price 15€ per person. While to come, we took a taxi that stops us at the place of Rome + 30 minutes of walking + crossing.
However, the hotel does not provide a bottle...

We enjoyed the quaintness of the hotel room, preferring character vs sterile modern; also our suite was spacious and clean. We are in our 70’s, so we were happy to find that the hotel is located close to city center. The included breakfast had a wonderful variety along with freshly prepared food. We discovered the hotel’s affiliated restaurant had such delicious dinners, we ate there 2 of our 3 nights...
Charming spot in Venice fair,
Just a short stroll to St. Mark’s Square.
Clean white sheets, fresh towels too,
Wi-Fi strong and breakfast true.
A budget gem, with charm and grace,
Though stairs await—so set your pace.
The lift goes up, but not all the way,
So pack light bags if you plan to stay!
For value, charm, and beds so neat,
This little hotel can’t be beat.
Beautiful hotel, historical with service a food very good. Classic rooms, but not well maintained, but we came for the location and not too fussed about the quality. Everything really nice, only that the rooms are not quiet up to a acceptable standard, and a little run down, unkept otherwise excellent.
From the moment we arrived at the Royal Marco Hotel, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is unbeatable—tucked away just far enough from the crowds to offer peace and quiet, yet steps from all the iconic sights of Venice. Waking up to views of the canals and walking out into the heart of the city was a dream.
What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the staff. Every single person...
Location is fantasic! Breakfast is great! Room is very very small for price paid. Room deco is very dated, and not enough lightning. Dont even have kettle or proper glasses. Air-con is so cold and keeps blowing onto face. Had very bad sleep all 3 nights i was there. Receptionist no smile. Looks like people owned them money. No amenities. Honestly, for EUR300+/night, i had expected more of it.
Old time quirky, loved it!
Breakfast was excellent!

Really liked my stay here! It’s a clean, no-frills hotel just a 5-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square. Gina and her colleague were super helpful — they even messaged on check-in day to make sure I found the place easily.
If you’re arriving in Venice, take a water taxi to the San Zaccaria stop; the hotel’s an easy 5-minute walk from there. Lots of restaurants and bars around, and the rooms are simple...
Although our experience was very good, at 7pm there were two families that we ran into that were trying to check in. No one was there and no one was answering the phone. We stayed with them for over 30 minutes when one family finally left to go to a different hotel, and the other family finally got contact with them after asking another hotel to reach out. We do not speak Italian and when I got one...
The hotel is conveniently located near St. Mark's Square, where the boat docks are located, and they were able to accommodate after-hours check-in by contacting us in advance via WhatsApp. The cleanliness and other details were commensurate with the price, and the front desk staff were friendly and the hot water was plenty, so we had no problems. The only thing I'd like to point out is that, although...
Excellent location and very friendly staff. Shower pressure was good too and the view to the canal from the room. Only negative things were that the reception has very limited opening hours and also the windows and doors could be more soundproof.
Nice hotel. Manager and housekeeping very friendly. Our room was super spacious. Quiet area surrounding it. Nice location. Would stay again
The room was very clean and quiet, equipped with every thing we need. the lift was just convenient for us two people with a medium big size lagagg to the second floor. The lady in charge there was very considerate, remindering us for the detail routes from the airport to the hotel by water bus. we would reserve this hotel if we come to Venice again.

The room is very small, especially the bathroom. Fat people can't turn around at all. The location is in the city center. If you are tired from playing or can't find the toilet, you can go back to the hotel directly.
If it weren't for the elevator, or rather the non-elevator, it would be a good option. We stayed three days, and when we arrived they told us that just that afternoon the elevator had broken (that's bad luck). Our room, on the equivalent of a fourth floor, was very uncomfortable every time we got to the hotel, after all the fatigue, going back up some stairs that are also very, very deteriorated and...
Staff was really amazing. Location is excellent. Breakfast was quite good. Rooms are ok, they have some weird hair dryers, but that is all. Reception is open 24h. Room had very good ac.

I loved to classic Venetian style of the room and the great location of the hotel, 5 min walk to Piazza S.Marco and Rialto bridge.
During my 4 nights stay the staff has always been very kind and helpful, plus I arrived without a booking and was able to check-in smoothly.
Breakfast was good, room comfortable and clean (had the one with the balcony which I really appreciated).

Old-style hotel, those who like it will like it very much, my husband likes it very much, 4.5 points for service, I give it to Raffaele (maybe there is a spelling error) who delivers breakfast to us every day, Lovely man is funny and cute, it really affects my mood in the morning, thank you so much, I hope he can see my evaluation, I hope it can make him happy too
Very beautiful hotel, the room is also beautiful
The front desk guy and uncle are very enthusiastic in service
Breakfast is delivered to the room, the taste is above the passing line, but not particularly delicious
It is a 5-6 minute walk from Santa Lucia Station after taking a bus and boat for two stops. The house number is not very conspicuous, which seems to be the case in Venice. It is very close to St. Mark's Square and the Bridge of Sighs. The room is very large, which is very rare in Europe at a price of about 2,000 yuan. The hygiene is very good, with beautiful retro decorations and an old-fashioned three...
The name sounds like it has a good story background, and the cultural expression is also expressed in the form of a hotel. I will recommend it to my friends next time. The service is acceptable and there is no language barrier.

A marvel, the room overlooking the canal is truly incredible.
We had a really good time there.

Phenomenal hotel in the Castello Distract. Quiet area off of of a canal. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. AC worked perfectly. I would stay here again.
clean, central, nothing to complain about
Very nice location the hotel, it’s very close to San Marco, the rooms are bigger than what I expected, they also have a very nice decorations you can also see affreschi on the ceiling. Very Venetian style! Also try the restaurant a must try.
This Hotel is situated in a very strategic position, just a few minutes to San Marco. The staff was very friendly and the service was good.
Not a four star hotel. The room was very nice but the heated towel rail in the bathroom was stuck on full heat so we opened the window in early March. The soap and shampoo had no conditioner and the freebees quality was more two star than four star. We didn't eat there. The people on the doorstep trying to lure you in to eat were off-putting. The room was spacious by Venice standards. The king-size bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. The bathroom was well-equipped, featuring two sinks, a large shower, and a bidet, though it was a bit small. The elevator was a definite plus.

We loved staying at Hotel Savoia & Jolanda. We booked a fabulously large room facing the front of the hotel, overlooking the water. All three floor-to-ceiling windows opened up so you could go out to a mini balcony. The service by every staff member was exemplary. We would love to come back.
We spent 5 nights in this hotel. We can clearly say that pictures on the website for the classic room is a tourist trap. Indeed we asked to visit "smart annexe" room because we thought they made a mistake while assigning our room. Classic room is a little bit larger (1m2 - 3m2), the difference of price between those rooms is not worth it.

Although the room was small, it was very clean. The hotel's location is excellent, just behind St. Mark's Basilica. The area around it is lively, which made me feel much safer. Plus, the breakfast was really good, and the flavors were fantastic.
Good location and a perk is that the hotel has a small water taxi pier. The rooms are very spacious, however they are very dusty and old. There was even a cockroach in one of our rooms!
The staff very helpful, the location is great
Great stay and great location! Small but cozy, it’s comfortable anyway. We’ll be back here if by any chance we visit again!
Loved staying at the All'Angelo Art Hotel! Our deluxe room with view was on the 5th floor with a view of the canal below. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, as well as a well stocked and reasonably priced mini bar. Plenty of space for the two of us and the bed and pillows, and great double-glazed windows meant a fantastic night's sleep. Location is excellent for San Marco and public...

We needed a place to stay last minute after having issues with our booked apartment, so we went around Venice looking for hotels in person and this one was by far the best we found! The price was similar to other places we checked, but the quality was much better. The room was beautifully furnished in a cozy Italian style, very clean, and the bathroom looked newly renovated and modern. Breakfast was...
Hotel Nazionale was a good hotel for the price. The rooms were clean, though a bit dated. The size is what you expect for a double (two beds put together) in Venice, enough to move around. The room had few amenities such as tv, desk, AC, but the dryer was a dated wall mounted dryer.
The location is right next to the train station, so the easy to getting to the hotel was wonderful, and it’s right...
Had a decent stay experience overall. The location is very convenient, right next to the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. The single bed room I stayed in was very small, maybe just about 7 m2 in area, which felt a bit claustrophobic initially. However the air conditioning worked fine and the services were good - including room cleaning, and breakfast. The staff were kind, friendly, and professional...
Pretty close to the station, no bridge/stairs between the main station and the hotel as the rest of Venice.
The hotel itself has stairs though to enter the lobby.
Restaurant and shops downstairs.
Stayed in this subtly classy hotel a few years ago. Great location, not far from the Venice train station. The service was good, the continental breakfast was great (fresh fruit/bread), the room was good, and the towels were nice. I liked the feeling of being in a centuries-old building and atmosphere.
Good location (near the train station and pier)
Good breakfast
Friendly staff
Air conditioner in my room is not good enough.
