New Central Hotel
Tokyo, Chiyoda-ku, Kandatacho 2-7-2 🧭 Map
So-so place, reasonable value. Excellent location (relative to public transit), relatively new and clean with excellent spa in the basement, but more cramped than your average business hotel with inadequate soundproofing and no in-room shower. For better or for worse, 6000ish yen/night on a weekday (Sept. 2017) means "you get what you pay for".

Tokyo City View Hotel Tabata Station
Tokyo, Kita-ku Tabata 1-24-22 🧭 Map
Great location. Very close to Tabata station. Please use the South Exit to get to the hotel, otherwise it's going to be pretty hard to find. The staff are very nice and very helpful. They helped me book a taxi and answered my questions very clearly.
The bed was easy to sleep, so 4 stars.
The sound of the train is terrible in the corridor.
Only two people can enter the large communal bath.
I used it on a business trip.
A hotel just outside the south exit of Tabata Station.
Restaurant space when cold waves are coming to the archipelago and my wallet
It was really helpful for me to turn on the heating and wait until the check-in time.
thank you!
The view on the top floor was very good and it was my third stay. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is really comfortable. I really like the amenity Darjeeling scented shampoo.
Ryo: The view unique to railway lovers is outstanding. At night, Tabata station, which you can see below, is not lined up with four lines even in the same scenery. I never get tired of watching until the last train.
For shooting purposes, shooting from the room is △.
There are plenty of amenities, and the rooms are more like a business hotel.
The entrance is also a soundproof door and the window glass...

Hotel Ohedo
Tokyo, Toshima-ku, Ikebukuro 2-68-5 🧭 Map
Ohedo hotel is a nice budget hotel, with a very polite and service minded staff. The rooms are small, but clean and well kept. Location is very good, 5 min walk from Ikebukuro trainstation and center. I stayed there for 10 days and I will chose the same hotel next time too.
Friendly staff! Close to station! Small rooms but daily room service is always nice ! Smoking room in lobby beside cafe !
The staff was friendly and helpful. English was available. The room was average Japanese Hotel size and clean. There were no non-smoking rooms available - the whole floor smelled of cigarettes in the morning. Amenities were as expected, but soaps were a little too floral for my taste.
Breakfast is available - western style or Japanese - we had western - eggs, franks and salad.
Rooms are bigger than the usual (for the japanese standards) but everything is a bit old, from the furniture to the bathroom
No sponge or body wash included, just the soap, shampoo, conditioner, razor and toothbrush
The bed is good enough to sleep well after a day of walking around Tokyo

Sakura Hotel Nippori
Tokyo, Bunkyo-ku Sendagi 3-43-15 🧭 Map
Absolutely magnificent place to stay!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A lot of respect to the nicest staff and the best service for such a little price!
Very clean hotel!
4 of us booked this place for 4 nights and had, by accident, Japanese style beds - and it turned out to be the best choice!!!
Also delicious breakfast (thank you very much again, this saved us a lot of shopping runs in the morning).
Location is perfect...
Rooms were very clean but tiny. Includes free breakfast but it was very limited breakfast, bread, coffee and Japanese soup, which was very yummy. The showers are shared and gender neutral. There are women or men only showers but on a different floor. The bathrooms are also common bathrooms, so there’s no place to do makeup or skincare in your own rooms. The rooms had a small table and a bunk bed with...
Great place for value. Average breakfast but the staff is amazing. If you like a Japanese style, this is the place you looking forward in Tokyo. Not too much far from Nippori JR station and have a bus station close to hotel, included a convenience store (30 m)
I went there with friends and being honest is super nice: people are nice, food is good...
And the language exchange they have also. Super interesting.

Seemed pretty easy to access whatever you needed (I'm not entirely sure because it was my roommate who did most of the work), and the building was pretty secure, if you were worried about that. The rooms were comfortable enough. The hotel was right next to a convenience store, and it isn't far from the station, so it's pretty nice in terms of location.
Excelent Hotel, close to Food, transportation. Easy acces to Nakano, Ikebukuro and more. Loved my stay there. Very Recommended!

Akihabara Bay Hotel (Female Only)
Tokyo, Chiyoda-ku, Kandaneribei-cho 44-4 🧭 Map
It's fine for one night, staff was friendly, various free amenities provided and the location is great. Futons inside capsules were extremely thin though and very hard to sleep on. Lounge spaces could use some deep cleaning. Had to leave most of my luggage downstairs in the reception area which was somewhat inconvenient.
My first experience at a capsule hotel and wow not disappointed. It was very clean and efficient. I was provided with everything I needed for my stay. The size of the capsule was enough for me to sit up I'm 5'3". I'm a type that would be claustrophobic in certain spaces but didn't feel that way here.
Perfect overnight stay for me. I also like the cute decor of pink and anime decor.
Stayed for one night while travelling around Tokyo/Kyoto. It was a fun experience and definitely unique to Japan. Felt quite like staying in a hostel or dormitory. Our suitcases didn't fit in the lockers provided but they were kept downstairs in the reception area and that felt safe. The capsules themselves were quite spacious. The bed was a little hard but I didn't mind. Only complaint was that the...
Very clean and nice place. The structure is very well worked out in how to get your bag with towels, pajamas, hairbrush and toothbrush. Every guest gets a locker and a cabin to sleep in. The locker is pretty small, my backpack fitted, but most other guest had to have their bags in the reception. The showers are clean with good products. I used the laundry machines that are easy and cheep. The location...
Above expectations, very clean with nice design, the capsule is huge and lockers are perfect size for small trolleys.
The price is cheap. Most of the staff speaks a good amount of English. The capsule bed wasn't very comfy but I was expecting that. What really got to me that I decided to give a 3 star in stead of 4 or 5 was the internnet. The internet is really horrible and when it doesn't work at all I tried asking the staff about the internet problem and she told me I should try to go to a different place with wifi...

HOTEL LiVEMAX Tokyo Ayase-Ekimae
Tokyo, Adachi-ku Ayase 3-16-1 🧭 Map
Station Chika, this fare is the best. Above all, there was a pepper lunch in front of the station. Osaka was withdrawn after that incident. I missed it.
About 2 minutes on foot to Ayase Station, about 5 minutes to the nearest highway Kahei Interchange, National Route 4, and easy access to the city center. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot, so I think it's a bad expense to stay for consecutive nights.
The word of mouth was not so good, but for me who stayed only, the cospa was good and it was very helpful. The room is clean and I will use it again. In addition, the hotel man took a girl from Deriheru, but I can't call the hotel because I can't go to the floor I want to go to without a room card. Be careful
I stayed with breakfast last time, so when I thought about it this time, I didn't have breakfast ... I made a reservation without noticing it.
Even so, the cafe / breakfast venue is closed with the garbage as it is, and the inside is rough and scary.

strategic hotel in ikebukuro with a budget cost.
room was good, clean.
love the service!
you can get free origami at receptionist☺️
Great for singles or couples. Would recommend if you will be staying over for a night to catch an early train at Ikebukuro Station.
This is a second time I stayed at this hotel after had been here couple of years ago.
Never disappointed. The staff was so helpful and had a warm welcome. I like its location the most.
I had two 28" luggages and two carry on bags, walking from the Ikebukuro station didn't feel any tired.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sakura Hotel during my visit to Tokyo and it was an absolute delight. The hotel is conveniently located near Ikebukuro station exit C6 and is incredibly cost-effective. What really blew me away, however, was the staff's warm hospitality - they were so helpful and approachable. I would definitely stay there again!
Nice staff. Little rooms with carpets. The carpet was very dirty. It's unhygienic. A lot of things under the bed. It wasn't clean. The situation is good, not far from metro.
Stayed here in July 2016 with a group of friends. Friendly and helpful staff, small but clean and comfortable rooms, and located very conveniently a mere 5 minutes from Ikebukuro Station, and on top of that the restaurant is good too. Liked it so much that we’re coming back!

Good location! Near to Ikebukuro station, also there is airport Limousine to Haneda airport. Friendly staffs, help to keep our luggages also help to change the elevator direction when we need to move up or down our luggages.
It is super convenient and easily accessible from Ikekuburo Station. Staff was able to communicate well in English pertaining to my concerns and request. You are able to store luggage for your day trips, and check-in can be done anytime past 3 pm.
The bed was surprisingly large and comfy as I was expecting something smaller as Im rather tall. The aircon and heater worked like a charm. Most importantly...
Great view from the hotel room. The location is perfect and staff are awesome! Thank you so much for helping us out with our luggages and you guys were amazing!! The only issue I gave this a 3 star was because the bath tub was clogged. This is one of the most terrible things I would say when I stay at the hotel. Water was flowing out slowly so my feet was soaked in my shower water after… err.....
The manager ran all the way to the train station to give my father his credit card that he left in the hotel. Amazing service!
Been staying there in 2016. This is a small hotel but people are friendly and giving a warmth feeling. This hotel seemed servicing mostly local travellers, but communication in English is not a problem .Breakfast is a must try. Both western and Japanese style are served.
Room is clean and surprisingly spacious. Bathroom has a lot of space to put your toiletries. Not too many convenient plugs though. we had one near the ground in front of the bathroom for some reason... another weird thing is you are supposed to leave the key with the front desk before you go out. Very functional "business" hotel in what would be a very quiet neighbourhood if it weren't for the fact that the property stands right next to a railway (although nowhere near a rail *station*) so there is often some train noise, even at night. I like train sounds, so that was OK, buy one should be prepared for it. Free shuttle to Tokyo Disneyland from the hotel's own front door (irrelevant for me...
You really get what you pay for. It’s cheap and it’s really super basic. It’s not exactly v clean, and everything looks super old here. It does the job of resting if you don’t wanna get stuck in an expensive hotel near Disney. Despite the size, they still manage to squeeze in a toilet bowl.
Room: Extremely small room, hard to open big luggages
Location: Most people stay here for Disneyland trip. The hotel provide shuttle service. Didn't bother the shuttle service and took bus to Disneyland instead & luckily I did that, Disneyland was too crowded. However, I took the shuttle bus back to Hotel as the timing is right, 1030pm.
An amazing price if you're trying to keep your budget down while visiting Disney. They have a free shuttle that takes you there and back, and the hotel was clean, comfortable, and had laundry on site for us to not have to pack dirty clothes. The Chinese restaurant on the corner was a great find too, and the metro station is a 15 min walk.

We really loved it here. The location is great, with many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, as well as two festival squares. It's within walking distance from Shinjuku, or you can take the Marunouchi line as the Shinjuku-Gyoenmae stop is very close by.

I'm super impressed by the size the hotel room! For a 3 person room, it was incredibly spacious! The amenities here are extensive and the hotel is also located close to the Marounouchi line, several dining places and conbinis. Super friendly reception staff who are also fluent in English. Oh!And free drinks at reception too! The hotel is directly opposite a 24 hour laundromat, the hotel does offer...
The hotel was in a residential area where road traffic was not busy and smoke free. It was located midway in a small street. Lots of restaurants and café around. There was a grocery shop selling very good fruits at a cheap price. A few gay bars were also scattered in the area but not disturbing. A few minutes walk from the metro station exit. The room was spacious, clean with a molded bathroom...
Really nice place in Shinjuku nichome area, good location. The staff is quite helpful and friendly here. The only problem is that rooms are really small (but I suppose it's the same in many places in Tokyo). Despite of the room size, the bathroom was big, especially the shower!
Comfortable and very clean hotel.
We stayed in a room in the new building. Very large comfortable room, has an included bath that is automatically controlled. Also has a kitchenette, though we never used it. Convenient location from the metro line (Shinjuku-gyoenmae) and about a 15min walk from Shinjuku JR Station. Staff are very friendly. Definitely worth the stay.
The room was small but had enough room. There were three of us, so three beds. One bed was FREEZING, one was warm but on wheels, and one was both. The pillows were hard as rocks. Otherwise, it was clean, had everything needed, and a great shower. They had an elevator so that was great. The staff was friendly. Be prompt! No shoes in the room really.

Also massive shout out to the team, especially Clara. They all went above and beyond, helping me to contact a restaurant I left items behind in, and providing advice on where to go and what to do, thank you so much!
First time staying in a hostel felt cool!
High personal space privacy, incredibly comfortable beds that make you reluctant to leave and alarm clocks that don't disturb others. The bathroom and shower are also clean, probably due to considerate fellow travelers.
But the security is lacking, one night around 00:15, a girl and a guy were loudly chatting at the female floor elevator entrance, completely...
Probably my favorite hostel so far in Japan. I met great people there who were open to chat and join some activities together. The free beer hour serves as great conversation starter. You always feel safe and do not worry about your valuables due to the 24/7 camera surveillance on the floors. Appreciated everyday cleaning of the bathrooms. The beautiful staff was so nice and welcoming.
The rooms were cute and comfy. If you stay here though, stay far from the elevator and bathrooms, and by any staff supply rooms. Since privacy is only a curtain, you can hear pretty much everything, so light sleepers will have issues. We were right by a staff supply room, so throughout the night and early morning the door was opening/closing loudly, so it was difficult to sleep, even with ear plugs...
Glad we got to experience this hostel. My husband said he had the best sleep ever (as he had his own room). We stayed on a Friday night and surprisingly everyone was very respectful. I just have a question then will delete my comment, I'm trying to call to ask but no one is answering. I wanted to know if the hotel is wheelchair accessible? Cheap, clean, central. Breakfast was good. Small room but what do you expect in Tokyo, for goodness sakes??
Convenient location just a few minutes walk from Sugamo Station. The Japanese style breakfast is quite good. The room I stayed in was quite small but it was sufficient for one person especially if you're using it as a place to sleep and not as a place to hang out all day. Very nice hostel, friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and the cubes have everything you need: USB connection, bed light, hangers, locker. They also have a great kitchen, a nice area to play Nintendo, listen to music or just hang out. An breakfast is also great!
I stayed here for about a week in June 2019, and it was amazing!
