I'm not sure why this place has a low score. I stayed here during my time in Japan. Sure the rooms are "small" but I never felt it was too small. The train station was very close by. There was also a supermarket close by and other stores too. Overall very convenient. The staff were also friendly and helpful when I had questions.
Excellent services. But located to corner of Tokyo although this is not an issue if you use Metro Services. Rooms are very small but as per standard of Japan. Breakfast is not complementary. You need to pay 980 Japanese Yen for breakfast.
Small but nice and helpful staff
The hotel is clean and the stuff is friendly. Close with shops. Close with ayase JR line. However, there is no direct JR line from Tokyo Station to Ayase Station.

Great place, great location and has all you need. Design as well sorted out and has all the basic communities you could ask for, breakfast is basic, but enough to start the day. Also massive shout out to the team, especially Clara. They all went above and beyond, helping me to contact a restaurant I left items behind in, and providing advice on where to go and what to do, thank you so much!
First time staying in a hostel felt cool! High personal space privacy, incredibly comfortable beds that make you reluctant to leave and alarm clocks that don't disturb others. The bathroom and shower are also clean, probably due to considerate fellow travelers. But the security is lacking, one night around 00:15, a girl and a guy were loudly chatting at the female floor elevator entrance, completely...
Probably my favorite hostel so far in Japan. I met great people there who were open to chat and join some activities together. The free beer hour serves as great conversation starter. You always feel safe and do not worry about your valuables due to the 24/7 camera surveillance on the floors. Appreciated everyday cleaning of the bathrooms. The beautiful staff was so nice and welcoming.
The rooms were cute and comfy. If you stay here though, stay far from the elevator and bathrooms, and by any staff supply rooms. Since privacy is only a curtain, you can hear pretty much everything, so light sleepers will have issues. We were right by a staff supply room, so throughout the night and early morning the door was opening/closing loudly, so it was difficult to sleep, even with ear plugs...
Glad we got to experience this hostel. My husband said he had the best sleep ever (as he had his own room). We stayed on a Friday night and surprisingly everyone was very respectful. The bed was comfortable and has the mechanism to recline. You definitely can get a good night's rest without the sun waking you up. The facilities were clean and considerably spacious. I enjoyed my stay here more than...
I just have a question then will delete my comment, I'm trying to call to ask but no one is answering. I wanted to know if the hotel is wheelchair accessible? Like is there any stairs I'd have to go up and is there a large bathroom stall for people in wheelchairs? I can transfer in and out of my chair just fine as well. Thank you!!

Great place for value. Average breakfast but the staff is amazing. If you like a Japanese style, this is the place you looking forward in Tokyo. Not too much far from Nippori JR station and have a bus station close to hotel, included a convenience store (30 m)
Very nice people they are very understanding at my needs
I went there with friends and being honest is super nice: people are nice, food is good... And the language exchange they have also. Super interesting.
Nice place ! Staffs are amazing !
Very nice hotel! Greatly situated near subway and the main station and walking street.

I am staying here for a month for study abroad while in Tokyo. The location is very convenient, only a few blocks from the nearest subway station. Konbini right downstairs is also a plus. The room itself is nice, nothing to fancy, but comfortable for several weeks stay.

It's such a friendly and cosy place :) there is a mixture of people from all over the world as well as Japanese local people. I love staying here and the female floor is a safe and comfortable space. Would definitely come back! Much love for everyone working there and staying there ❤😊
Very nice hostel, friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and the cubes have everything you need: USB connection, bed light, hangers, locker. They also have a great kitchen, a nice area to play Nintendo, listen to music or just hang out. An breakfast is also great!
I stayed here for about a week in June 2019, and it was amazing! The facilities were very clean, the beds provided a ton of privacy, and each little bed cubby came with a keyed locker and a smartphone with unlimited data for navigating around Tokyo. The location is really good, just a short walk to the nearest metro station, and I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (hard-boiled eggs and...
A great hostel in a perfect location amongst the hustle and bustle that is Shinjuku. A short walk to public transport and tourist hot spots. A variety of breads and eggs are provided for breakfast which is a real bonus. Dorms are comfortable and the real kicker is each capsule comes with a tablet with data that you can take with you as you travel. This is quite a social hostel (from my experience...
I spent a week here and enjoyed my stay! The sleeping rooms are very quiet which was helpful. The bottom pods that are away from the windows are super dark which made sleeping easier. The staff was very friendly and were very kind by letting me practice my Japanese with them! Whenever I had a need something, they were very accommodating. The kitchen area on the first floor is the most popular space...

it's a good crash-to-place when you miss the train ride for about 3500yen. you pay for what you get; you might feel a little claustrophobic when you enter, but you wont feel that way once you go through the entrance, the tiny tiny lockers and the elevator, and reach the capsule

Good location, nice stuff, reasonable price. it's a perfect place if you don't want to communicate people.
The capsules are spacious no TV but free wifi. The front desk ladies are kind and polite. All women. They give you daily amenities at the front desk: one big towel, small towel, foot towel, tooth brush tooth paste, pajama top and bottom. Literally 2~3 minutes from the nearest station.
Stay here for 6 nites, it looks neat but there are some policies need to be followed in an inconvenient way. 1/ needs to leave the hotel from 10:00 to 14:00 for cleaning. 2/ tight space for use in locker room.
If you’re looking for someplace cheap to stay for a night in Tokyo, this place will do. It was a pretty generic capsule hotel. It’s in an area very close to a train and a subway station with the train line and a street of bars right outside, so the noise at night didn’t die down until very early in the morning. I highly recommend getting the free earplugs from the front desk. The capsule itself was...
I stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Tokyo. The facility is clean, and feels luxurious. You are provided everything you need. The pajamas are very comfortable. The location is very convenient, right next to Kanda Station. It feels very safe being an all woman facility. The other guests were very courteous of the rules, so this was a very pleasant stay. Thank you so much!

Great hotel for a quick stop. Small rooms, but everything you could need. Very accommodating staff. Very convenient.
Clean and decently sized rooms. We were able to keep two large check-in suit cases open the the floor without issues. Free breakfast to guests are nice and adds to the value. Would recommend for short stays.
Hotel located on a small street so it's pretty quite, not too far from subway entrance. Front counter was nice and helpful but room cleaning is by request, which we didn't need. Our plan had breakfast included, which is conveniently accessible by room keychain. However the available time is a bit short (only till 8:30). Our room is on the 5th floor, small, but clean. No view but of someone's old balcony...
Room size is very good for family, (especially floor 6 is for family pakage , it's for 8~12 people). however, the location is not perfect and there is no breakfast service. over all, i rate this hotel for 4.3 / 5.0 stars.

strategic hotel in ikebukuro with a budget cost. room was good, clean. love the service! you can get free origami at receptionist☺️
Great for singles or couples. Would recommend if you will be staying over for a night to catch an early train at Ikebukuro Station.
This is a second time I stayed at this hotel after had been here couple of years ago. Never disappointed. The staff was so helpful and had a warm welcome. I like its location the most. I had two 28" luggages and two carry on bags, walking from the Ikebukuro station didn't feel any tired.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sakura Hotel during my visit to Tokyo and it was an absolute delight. The hotel is conveniently located near Ikebukuro station exit C6 and is incredibly cost-effective. What really blew me away, however, was the staff's warm hospitality - they were so helpful and approachable. I would definitely stay there again!
Nice staff. Little rooms with carpets. The carpet was very dirty. It's unhygienic. A lot of things under the bed. It wasn't clean. The situation is good, not far from metro.
Stayed here in July 2016 with a group of friends. Friendly and helpful staff, small but clean and comfortable rooms, and located very conveniently a mere 5 minutes from Ikebukuro Station, and on top of that the restaurant is good too. Liked it so much that we’re coming back!

Station Chika, this fare is the best. Above all, there was a pepper lunch in front of the station. Osaka was withdrawn after that incident. I missed it.
About 2 minutes on foot to Ayase Station, about 5 minutes to the nearest highway Kahei Interchange, National Route 4, and easy access to the city center. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot, so I think it's a bad expense to stay for consecutive nights.
The word of mouth was not so good, but for me who stayed only, the cospa was good and it was very helpful. The room is clean and I will use it again. In addition, the hotel man took a girl from Deriheru, but I can't call the hotel because I can't go to the floor I want to go to without a room card. Be careful
I stayed with breakfast last time, so when I thought about it this time, I didn't have breakfast ... I made a reservation without noticing it. Even so, the cafe / breakfast venue is closed with the garbage as it is, and the inside is rough and scary.

Went to Tokyo to visit the Kodokan which was really close so the hotel is situated nicely for that. It’s a bit far from the night life and it’s quite a walk to get to any decent restaurants or bars late at night.
It’s Livemax hotel at Korakuen. The room is clean but facilities are a bit old.
Ok for a budget. Noisy road outside, but great for Tokyo Dome!
Stayed suite in 10th floor, cozy and spacious, really good experience.
I will give one more star if the hotel not situated on a slope.

So-so place, reasonable value. Excellent location (relative to public transit), relatively new and clean with excellent spa in the basement, but more cramped than your average business hotel with inadequate soundproofing and no in-room shower. For better or for worse, 6000ish yen/night on a weekday (Sept. 2017) means "you get what you pay for".

The price was decently better than other places. Oddly enough, had extra things most hotel rooms don’t have and lacked others that didn’t ruin the comfort. The area is not particularly special the hot spots of Tokyo aren’t far though. It is literally a few steps from the soap land center of Tokyo, it’s one of the original red light districts of tokyo. Most places aren’t foreigner friendly...or so I...
Beautiful, indoor like a 1K apartment. It was nice to be able to heat the rice for the next morning because there was a refrigerator and a microwave. There was a certain amount of space and it was easy to spend. It's near my daughter's apartment, so I'll make a reservation again.

The room is spacious and newly furnished, and looks exactly like the photos. Tetsuro was absolutely welcoming and helpful throughout the trip! The place is very close to bus stops and a 10-minute walking distance from Asakusa station (which was very convenient us, since the walk back to the hotel passes many great restaurants and stores).
Couldn't give it enough stars! Hotel owner/manager was professional and hospitable. Room was perfect for our use and comfortable. The burner/range and hot pot provided were convenient. Bathroom was great. Everything was clean and tidy and you couldnt beat the location. An added bonus was the manager spealing English as well. would definitely go back! The quarantine would have been miserable anywhere...
I had you stay in the voluntary isolation of returning to Japan. The location was good, reasonable, clean and really comfortable. There are many shops in the neighborhood where you can bring home delicious food, and it was good to isolate them in Asakusa. The owner was also very kind and made me feel as if I was staying at a 5 star hotel. Thank you very much.
I stayed with my husband for two weeks from mid-September for voluntary isolation when I returned to Japan temporarily. Not only is the room rate conscientious (the basic rate is conscientious, and in the case of a room for two people, there is an additional charge in most places, but this is the same price), but the airport transfer is also cheap. I chose Little Bird Oku Asakusa because I had a dust...

Highly recommend for exploring Shinjuku area. This place is very close to Shinjuku Gyoen garden and not far from the centre of Shinjuku. Shinjuku “Gyoen” station is the nearest one. There are plenty of connivence stores around the hotel. I stayed here for a week with my family. Beds are two bunk beds. The bathroom was very cozy and large. I didn’t expect that for such reasonable hostel-ish hotel....
I came here as a solo female traveller, what a great stay! The bunk room of 4 has good space and privacy with a nice shower and bath. It's a very peaceful space and the host was excellent and went out of his way to help me. He is very kind and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The location is great as well very quick to everything with a metro pass in a quiet area but totally safe and short walk...
Incredible stay. The host was really nice and accommodating. The room stayed clean, and the beds offered some privacy even being on the top bunk.
Cheap and cheerful and enough space for 4 people going away for a weekend to watch the Rugby World Cup! No TV or radio but excellent WiFi and an outside balcony as well. Be ready to walk to get here and also to keep very quiet while inside but apart from that very clean and perfect to lay your head.
Had a wonderful stay here. Host is very kind and rooms are clean and cozy. Not too far from the heart of Shinjuku, and on a quiet street so you'll get a good night's sleep. I was lucky to get the room with the balcony, which comes with a cute little koi pond.

Near by two metro stations and the shopping mall, life function is pretty good. The hotel is clean and comfortable, you can communicate with the owner in English.
Good for a quick stay. Clean rooms. Clean, clean, clean!
I stayed here 5 days and Im fully satisfied. Very close to Minami Senju station. Although my room was 5 m square size I didnt mind. I returned from the city late, went to sleep and thats it. The purpose of the room wasnt making a party, isnt it? I thank the owner for answering all my tourist-oriented question. He acted as a tour-guide or an information centre :) Thanks again! I do appreciate it.
So there are some bad reviews of this place, to be honest, for me it wasnt that bad. For the duration I stayed and for what you get, it's cheap but still matintain some form of quality.
