Location is very good, near public train station exit. Room condition is perfect and clean. Staffs are very nice and willing to help. There is only one thing to take in consideration is no slope way entrance. Carrying big luggage while entering lobby might be problem.

Small yet incredible rooom! Very clean and the bed was comfy. Especially if you prefer a firm bed, this one serves you best. You also need to try their breakfast and choose the Japanese menu set, it's the best!

Consdering the price, the service is good although the room is a little small. Breakfast is free. Be cautious the limit of guests in a room is two no matter adults or children.

A little far from the station, but no problem if you're familiar with Shinjuku. Room and equipment were sufficient for single travel, staff was friendly. Convenience stores, bus stop, coin laundry and restaurants nearby. The only thing that bothered me was that I had a room on the non-smoking floor, but the room and sheets reeked of cigarettes which seemed to be coming out of the air conditioning.

The hotel is very old but the staff are very friendly. The location is not too bad and there's a 7-11 just across the street.

Cozy place and a cheap place to stay in Tokyo. There are convenient stores and restos surrounding the hotel so you don't have to go far for some quick bites and quick grocery. It's also near the train station, it's a great if you want to go around Tokyo. The resto in the 1st floor also serve good food and the staff are accommodating, especially their breakfast are good.

nice room! it was a bit of a walk from the station, and you have to remember to exit from the correct side or it's impossible to find. we didn't have e much of a view, though. there's plenty on the way to the room and within walking distance of plenty of things. the area its in is a bit on the shady side, though. lots of women and dudes just hanging out trying to get your attention. the bed was amazing...

Pretty decent value for money in Tokyo. No complaints. Right next to a 7-11, decent restaurants and train station. Though you may have to walk (10 minutes?) to a different train station depending on which train line you need.

Such small rooms. The fridge turns off when you go outside or someone from the room service turned it off... Idk. All my stuff got bad inside. The Location is perfect. You can go to any worth seeing place from there... on foot or with the underground. Its difficult sometimes to talk to the staff in english. It depends with whoom youre talking to. All in all, we had a great time in Tokio there.

This hotel is in a great location in Shinjuku and right next to a train station. We found it really easy to get around Tokyo from here and it is next to 3 convenience stores which we found useful. Our room was smaller than western hotels but not as small as other people made it out to be. It was great for us but if you are tall you might struggle with the size of the bathroom with that being so small

Very convenient location, right above the train station. However, note that the nearest train station exit (right beside the hotel) does not have a lift and may post a problem for travelers with a lot of luggage. Rooms were quite small but very neat, sleek, functional, and comfortable. Staff were accommodating, easy to communicate with, and knowledgeable. The only thing to take into consideration is that the building is not secure, and you can gain access to all floors without a keycard. Wouldn't stay there alone, but with others it was quite enjoyable.

Room was spacious (by Tokyo's standards), the staff were abundant, lovely, and very helpful. Great selection of tea and coffee. Very conveniently located in Oshiage which has lots of cute restaurants, the sky-tree, and close transportation.

I have not had a chance to stay there yet but the prompt customer service I have received via email so far has been AMAZING. This is an indicator that customer service is simply their strength.

Location is very close to Higashi Ginza and Ginza metro stations. Major shopping district is just around the corner. Several converients, 24 hours Macs, famous raman, cafes, restaurants are all within walking distance. Street is quiet at night but feel very safe for a sole traveler. Check in lobby is on level 2. Room is great size for one or two skinny adults.

English friendly. Comfortable bed, nice space and an excellent shower. Hotel provides everything you will need for a good night rest and stay. The usb cords for every type of interface including iPhone lightening cable was an amazing idea and helped a lot for the stay. Great experience, the staff are very helpful with our situation where we were super tired as our check in time was 3pm we were back at the hotel at 1pm after walking around in ueno they were kind enough to offer us the room.

I stayed for one night with my boyfriend for a brief stop before moving on from Kyoto to Hirosaki. For that the hotel room was good enough. For a longer stay for 2 people in a double bedroom, I cannot recommend this though. There was no space for luggage without completely blocking out all floor space. Room is small. I stayed on 3rd floor. It fits a desk, a bathroom with a tub shower combo a, a full size bed that is pressed along the wall, TV is about 40 inches, a small fridge, and a water heater for the tea and coffee. About 500 yen to wash and dry a load of laundry on the 2nd floor, and a microwave on the 3rd floor. Blow dryer, a hairbrush, a hair tie, cotton swabs, a bathroom sponge, a razor blade...

Standard of the APA hotel never disappoint me. It might say that you can come stay without preparation. There are amenities in the room even pajamas. This place also very close to Ameyokocho which is a market that attract both locals and travelers.

The rooms are a little small but its understandable since its Japan but everything about the hotel is well maintained and clean with everything you need! The location is just outside of the busy Ueno zone which is perfect for me. Uno Ueno is my first choice when travelling to Tokyo!

Fair price, very basic place to sleep. Dorm arent spacious enough to open luggage (even if you plan to open outside the dorm is impossible). However, bed was big. Washing machine (200yen) and dryer (100yen) (free detergent) was great. It does dry your cloth compared to any other hostel. Staff are friendly and cheerful. Curtain are fully covered. There is fridge inside room also.

My then-boyfriend (now my husband) will never forget the horrid cigarette smell that enveloped the hallways and seeped into our room. The building in its entirety was outdated and this was when we stayed for two nights back in 2018. Hopefully it has changed.

Good location, so many restraints and bars nearby. But this APA hotel is one of older models (bath room is dated, bed is not comfortable) and the room is really tiny. I also stayed at newer APA hotels which were much much nicer (upgraded bathroom, bed and a larger room). There is no laundry so not recommended for long term stay.

I love this chain of hotels. The only downside is that they don’t clean your rooms daily (you still get new towels and they clear the trash). The restaurant and bakery are super convenient to have on-site. Great pricing. Super trendy.
