1, There is no air conditioning in the room with sealed window! You feel like staying in a box cannot breathing! After you take shower (with no fan working), you feel like living in a steam room. There is no air in and out 2, if you have no computer, you have to pay ¥100 ($1.3) per 10 minutes to use their slow PC on the lobby. Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The room in the 21st is the premium rooms. Newly renovated. It smells and feels like a 4 to 5 star hotel. Toilets still feels slightly dated. Perfectly located in the business district. Super friendly staff. Clean, spacious rooms. I was upgraded to a suite because they were out of vacancy. Which was awesome, nice view of Tokyo! The breakfast buffet is delicious! Pricey but not too much for what you get.

You know, I was debating whether I'd like the atmosphere here because I knew it was an older hotel that hadn't been renovated in ages. But it had this old school Japanese charm that feels like it's actually cool. The teppenyaki restaurant was excellent and the scotch bar was a throwback. I really enjoyed the stay here.

The name is considerably more grand than the reality. The accommodation is relatively modest. The car access needs a bit of work, esp. if you are visiting from abroad and rented a car from the airport. Location is fine - longish walk, but walkable, to a number of interesting locations such as the fish market and main Ginza shopping.

Great hotel just 5 mins walking distance from Kanda station and within easy reach to most places in Kyoto by public transport. The rooms are small as other places in Japan but modern and clean. The small double bed is just barely enough for two people. There is a buffet breakfast in the annexed restaurant downstairs that is a decent price but very disappointing.

Hotel staff is friendly and willing to help make reservations for certain tourist attractions for you. My only real complaint is the lack of actual pillows in the rooms. They are a small piece of memory foam . other than that I really enjoyed my stay

We stayed here for 9 days - Dec 22-30, 2019. The rooms are small but the service is great! There is a cafe at the ground floor where the food is great and another restaurant at the other side of the building. We had no problems when we stayed there, the only rule that we did not like is non-guest of the hotel cannot go up the room, even if they are your relatives.

For the price, this hotel is an absolute 5 stars. The staff is courteous and room is adequate.

As of this posting, there are two Ai Hotels. This one is Kamata Ekimae, NOT Kamata. Careful if you’re hailing a taxi. As for the hotel, the value trumps all. Hotel is quite average, but the price is unbeatable. Would stay here again.

As a budget hotel, APA is not bad. Rooms are small but clean. Staff are friendly too. JR station is far from the hotel that you have to walk 8 to 10 minutes. The neighbourhood is considered as “quiet” in Tokyo.

I stayed for 3 nights to study for my exam. Close to the station and Aeon. There were two types of saunas and two types of baths, and they were reserved. The room was clean and comfortable with a study table.

For the price I paid, it was an excellent for your buck. There was a japanese public bath included in the price, less than 10 minutes of walk there was a bunch of restaurants. Beds were confy, I had a desk, everything needed to make tea, a mini fridge. Only problem I had was some people knocking on my door early in the morning but I guess that's not the hotel's fault.

Rooms were noisy, non-smoking room smelled like smoke when air-con turned on. Breakfast closed half hour early.

As others have noted, this hotel could do with a bit of a tidy-up (really just a lick of paint and a few fresh cushion covers!). However, it is easy to look past this as it has tons of character and is a charming place to stay.

Ohedo hotel is a nice budget hotel, with a very polite and service minded staff. The rooms are small, but clean and well kept. Location is very good, 5 min walk from Ikebukuro trainstation and center. I stayed there for 10 days and I will chose the same hotel next time too.

The staff was friendly and helpful. English was available. The room was average Japanese Hotel size and clean. There were no non-smoking rooms available - the whole floor smelled of cigarettes in the morning. Amenities were as expected, but soaps were a little too floral for my taste. Breakfast is available - western style or Japanese - we had western - eggs, franks and salad.

I enjoy to stay in this hotel. It was really small (as everything in Japan is ?) but for the price and location was really worth it. The pillows were a bit hard but no too bad. Ofuro was alright, just like a regular bathtub in USA. What I think it was the best was service, love it, love it.

The rooms are comfy and very relaxing. After a day's worth of travelling, I could lie down on the futon and and immediately fall asleep.
