Great hotel in the edge of the old town wall.
Slightly noisy due to the traffic and surroundings compared to some other accommodation within the old city but not enough to bother me.
Amazing attentive staff, free snacks! And I got an upgrade to a larger room.
One thing to note in chiang mai, also for a 4* hotel the hot water is not very hot but this has been felt everywhere across the different accomodation I have stayed in and have been told it is a city wise issue. Just one thing to note if you like hot hot showers!
Pool was lovely but didn’t use as were not enough sun loungers in the sun.
Would definitely return. Peaceful solo stay in a beautiful setting that feels like you are in a jungle whilst being 5 minutes away from the bustle of the old city.

A beautiful Lanna-style hotel right in the heart of Chiang Mai. The design is warm, charming, and full of local character. The staff are genuinely friendly and incredibly attentive, which makes the whole stay feel easy and comfortable.
If you’re looking for privacy and a quiet place to unwind while still being close to everything in the city, this hotel is a great choice. Highly recommended.

The Rim is in a great location on the western side of the old town but within the walls / canal. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The poolside room was spacious and well appointed. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of delicious items. The bartender made excellent mixed drinks. Dinner at the Canal restaurant, where breakfast is served, was delicious as well. We could have found less expensive options with equal amenities, but we are glad we chose The Rim and would definitely stay here again if we return. The grounds beautifully reflect the culture and its history. The shuttle service was excellent. I give it two solid thumbs up.

We had an exceptional stay at the Rim. The resort is beautiful with a traditional vibe, very clean and well located close to the old town. The staff is extremely kind and nice, always ready to help with any request. The pool area is very relaxing and the rooms are big, confortable and clean. We totally recommend this resort and we will be back!

I had such a wonderful stay at The Rim Hotel! Everything was absolutely perfect – the room, the atmosphere, and the whole experience felt just like home. The staff were super friendly and always went out of their way to be helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices and a lovely setting to start the day. Overall, everything was beyond my expectations – warm, welcoming, and truly memorable. Highly recommended! 🌟

The ambiance was wonderful, and getting around was very convenient. The staff provided excellent service and were incredibly helpful. We were also offered a welcome drink and a complimentary set of Thai desserts. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

The room was very spacious and conveniently located right by the pool. The service was attentive, and the afternoon tea was quite enjoyable.

Very peaceful, small hotel in the old town away from the busy modern area’s. all the staff were lovely. Bedroom huge, bathroom huge and clean. Property could do with some maintenance around the pool area - the decking in particular. Otherwise it’s a charming property. They offer free shuttle to the airport and night market. Breakfast is adequate. Would stay again if in Chiang Mai.

A fantastic hotel. It was very quiet, and the balcony was incredibly relaxing for sunbathing and reading. I would definitely stay here again.
