Currently here and was a little concerned due to the review and photos left by Jan V but wanted to put the truth here in case others were worried. We arrived late yesterday afternoon and I'm currently soaking up the sun on a lovely terrace. Photos are current from today 10/05/2025

We stayed at the kaptan hotel, I have no complaints about the hotel in general its the location its near a night club called the Robin Hood, it plays club music until 3 am in the morning, it thumps through your hotel room and also a cafe not far from the kaptan they have a band playing there so you have both playing really loud music , if your a light sleeper or want a quite night's sleep this is not the hotel to stay at, I have not slept well here due to all of the bass and noise going in to 3am please avoid if u like your night peaceful and want sleep!

Ok so lots to say about the hotel, some good and some not so good. Overall I would stay here again.
Checkin was straight forward and reception staff were polite.
Room, sadly it simply wasn’t clean overall. Long hair in the floor (I’m bald) some stains on the sheets, fridge was broken, safe was broken but the air conditioning was amazing. Tea and coffee available in the room and tv worked well.
The hotel bar was shut by reception but the breakfast in the morning were amazing! Chef was there every day to take orders for omelettes!
When booking this in the UK it states it’s a 4 star but it definitely is not. I’d say a good healthy 3 star for sure.

The hotel is centrally located, clean, tidy, fresh linen and towels daily. It is not fancy but practical, breakfast offers buffet style continental- no bacon or sausages but omelettes and pancakes made to order. Coffee and tea tray in the room and mini bar if you need it. Beds are comfy , no complaints at all, one thing that could improve the hotel is if they had a changing/ refresh room for those with late flights . Would definitely come back

Just returned from the worst holiday every we were told that the Kaptan was a 5 star hotel which might have been when it was built.It is now old and dated in need of renovation and definitely not a 5 star. It is over priced as we paid £1100 per person only to be served repeative cold food. The tiles around the pool are unsafe as numerous people slipped.The dj plays unsuitable music around the pool for children . The entertainment is so unreal its a joke. There was poo in both pools after that our family became ill as well as other guests it completely ruined hotel.We asked for antibacterial spray as we were ill in room but they just looked at us and said we would have to buy our own I could go on and on but I would never go back to the Kaptan .

We were so excited to come to this hotel the location is great, but the customer service is absolutely foul as soon as we got here Especially the breakfast staff absolutely disgusting. If you like good customer service avoid … we thought we was gonna have a lovely balcony but we have a balcony which is facing a wall which is just strange never seen anything like it in my life

Very special hotel with friendly, professional staff, wonderful views and the most amazing breakfast served in a relaxing dining room overlooking the harbour . As a first time visitor to the city the location of the hotel was perfect. All of the sights,beaches and city are easily reached on foot and it overlooks the sea and mountains with the castle and red tower just behind it. Love it.

In the middle of 9 days here. Excellent location. The views of the sea and mountains are breathtaking and everything is just on the doorstep. The staff are lovely, especially the cleaning lady, breakfast staff and night reception. The breakfast is the best breakfast I've ever had. It makes me laugh when reviewers complain that it's all Turkish style food...newsflash we are in Turkey. The choice and taste is outstanding. It is a lovely, quiet and clean hotel with very comfortable large beds,lots of hot water,toiletries and teas and coffee. OK there is a bit of noise in the evening from the harbour restaurants but I knew I was booking a central city hotel and brought earplugs, but it was never a problem. Alanya is a very chilled out, interesting city with glorious beaches, mountain views,history, walking and lots of shops and restaurants. I hope to return and would stay in this hotel again.

I had to pay extra money even though I booked already a double bed room. The view was out of this world! The breakfast was delicious. The staff were however cold and the bedsheets weren’t clean enough. My partner and I kept scratching our skins at night and we also found a roach in the room. T
