Hotel is clean and bed is very comfortable. Pool is very busy at weekends in good weather, mainly from people not staying at hotel. Breakfast let's the place down. Even scrambled eggs are cold.

The food is discussing and the staff is just so offending. You have to get them yourself because you exist until you get them yourself.

I checked into the hotel for a week. I paid 280 euros, including breakfast. On the third day of my stay, I requested cleaning of my room. I didn’t need a deep clean — I just wanted the floor vacuumed because there’s a carpet that collects a lot of dust. I also wanted the surfaces wiped down, since it’s summer, the window is open, and dust can accumulate during the day.
I put the cleaning sign on the door at 8 a.m., but no one came until 2 p.m. And all they did was change the towels. The room wasn’t vacuumed, the stains weren’t wiped off, the windows and the bathroom mirror weren’t cleaned. No cleaning products were used — no Domestos, no disinfectant, nothing.
The hotel doesn’t provide slippers, which makes things difficult, especially since there’s no shower cabin, and water ends up all over the floor. For the entire week, I was given two small bottles of shampoo and two bars of soap. You have to bring your own toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers because they are not provided here.
Also, since I don’t speak Bulgarian and the cleaning ladies don’t speak Russian or English, they didn’t vacuum my room, even though I saw them vacuuming the neighboring rooms. I don’t understand what the problem is, but I paid money and expected to have comfort and coziness.
Also, during breakfast, I took some bread, a sealed portion of butter, and a small packet of jam. When I opened the butter, it was completely moldy. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 9:30, but when I arrived at 8:30, most of the food was already gone. I had to wait for them to fry two more eggs and place them on the shared serving plate so that guests could have something to eat.
Also, as far as I’ve noticed, no one responds to reviews, and I won’t receive any kind of compensation either. So just be cautious — even if you come during the off-season, when it’s not too hot and there aren’t many tourists, you still won’t get quality service.

Dated hotel with hard beds. Excellent staff, great free breakfast. Restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is wonderful..

Don’t book here … we booked on love holidays and looked nothing like the pictures ! Our door was broken for nearly two days nothing was secure even over night , we had to prop a chair against the door! The hotel staff were helpful but some were rude . We had to buy some air fresheners as our room stunk of smoke and the halls smell of damp sewage! The restaurant next door wasn’t the greatest staff were lovely though! It’s no where near the city and in the middle of a built up area you have to taxi it or bus it. The rooms were clean but outdated ..our bed was lopsided!

Positiv: ➕
- spacious rooms
- cozy beds
- nice play area for the kids (8 leva per hour)
Negativ: ➖
- unfriendly staff (especially at the restaurant area)
- breakfast is very limited, no butter just margarine and bread is uuurgh but the coffee is good and its cheap (10 leva per person - kids are free)
- pool area closes at 7.00 pm.
- outdated furniture
- every morning there was a harsh smoking odor in the hallway - sometimes we even smelled it in our room
Overall the Montecito Hotel is good for a few nights if you want to be in the near of the airport and don´t plan to stay a lot of time in the hotel. The nights were quiet all tough there is a busy street in front of the hotel areal. A Lidl supermarket is just a few walking minutes away so you can buy snacks there.

We sat down at the lobby to eat something and talk. The receptionist then told us to go somewhere else because the lobby was not a restaurant or a place to hang out, that it was only for people who were waiting to check in.

The restaurant, meals and professional service deserve recognition. I really enjoyed my short stay there.

In the middle of nowhere. Unfriendly staff. Very tired and tatty. I took one look and left to stay in a much nicer hotel in the center.

The rooms are very spatious and beds comfortable, but that's about it for positive aspects. The whole place is a bit run down, which wouldn't be a problem in itself, but paired with the fact that either our particular room hadn't been properly cleaned, or that's the job they generally do, it was quite disgusting. We'll never know, because it is definitely not a return for us. The toilet looked like someone had vomited in it and whipped it off themselves the best they could *shudder*, and there were strange stains on the table and on the sofa as well *uugghh* ). The only reason we even stayed was that we had arrived very late in the evening with a very tired child and we noticed everything after we had unpacked. We chose to thoroughly disinfect everywhere ourselves, and just go to sleep. The sheets actually seemed clean, but they were worn thin to the point where the pillow cases had holes in them. Breakfast was included, so we gave it a reluctant try. Unfortunately, pretty much everything was inedible. Nothing looked fresh or good quality, the scrambled eggs tasted like the oil had been reused countless times, there were stains on the table cloths and the actual restaurant smelled like cat urine (lots of cats outside, but... inside?!). The actual space has potential, but as it is now, we would never return and do not recommend it.
