The hotel is located in the core area of the city center, which is very convenient for travel. Parking is convenient downstairs and there is a 24-hour convenience store not far away, which is very convenient for shopping. The room is relatively old, and many Chinese people choose to stay here, but the hygiene is acceptable. There are no free toiletries and drinking water in the room, so you need to bring your own

The carpet was extremely dirty from beige had gone black, spoons were missing in the cups. the bath also seemed to never been bleached, and some of the staff members told me to go and buy myself cleaning stuff to do it for my room, literally terrible experience. They told me that room is on the refurbishing process before check in which I didn’t really know I thought it will be just be an old fashion room but it turns out to be old fashion room that was never cleaned nothing to do with refurbishing or construction work just very dirty I felt sick.

Renewed hotel, very artistic looking. The colours are dark, but fashionable. We were staying on the 8th floor with a great view. The location is right at the center of the city, close to all landmarks. Restaurants nearby, great night life.

Very good room with excellent quality double beds. I love enjoy sports with good quality t.v. A very good furniture & fashion decoration. I just didn't like see the room without tea coffe even milk. The service staff provide its very good & helpfully. Always the clean staff are there on time.

I really love the panoramic view of the hotel that we can see the Montain. I like the ferry's yellow. The city is located with a lot of good restaurants, cofe shop, pub, fashion shops as shoes, jewellery, clothes, watches. It's a lot of enjoyfull on the city. If you had a car to drive you will love the city because its very good condition roads., a mean its not too much traffic.

We stayed at Hotel Rila for 5 nights and had an exceptional time! The room was very clean and updated with fun decor. All the staff was amazingly friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. I love having a little mini fridge in our room and the balcony views of Sofia are stunning! We spent time each night enjoying the view of the city. We had breakfast at the hotel breakfast room and they had a very large selection of items and all the food was delicious. We'd definitely stay here again in the future!

We had to stay for a night in the hotel. The location is great but everything else is kinda sick.
Firstly, they gave us a room that was super stinky on cigarette, the furniture is old and the hotel is giving weird vibes. The shower handle is broken, the floor in the restroom is super bad as well and you are always in danger to do not fall.
The worst thing was the receptionist during the night, they were super rude, and were not willing to open my room since my key was not working. They were thinking that I was drunk and questioned me couple times if this is my room,if I am sure.
In the end I ask them to come with me and open it, and their response was that I should’ve known that when there is somebody inside they cannot do it, why I was bothering them, and wasting their time. The tone was super harsh and unprofessional.
Such a horrible experience,I am not recommending.

I stayed there for a night during my stay in Sofia, Bulgaria. The location of this hotel is very convenient as it is close to the metro station, markets and food shops.
The price was also reasonable compared to the hotel location and room size and facilities. The rooms are a bit older, especially the bathroom. The bathtub and toilet shows the age. But overall cleanliness and service is good.

A typical tour hotel. Very outdated. Built in 1970s. Rooms are not in a good condition. The entrance is stylish but when you reach the floor, everything is bad. Breakfast is not included. Just one positive thing. The location is in the center of Sofia.

In a very convenient location next to trams and a 30 second walk to Serdika metro Station. Rooms are nice and are being modernised in the hotel refit. Staff are also polite and helpful
