River Rock Hotel

Stayed here for a week, not long got back. These are my opinions on the hotel but although there are good and bad points, i would stay here again.

Good points:
*The hotel was very clean!
*Most of the staff were very friendly and helpfull
*Cocktails i found were the best in the area.
*great location, everything was in short walking distance.
*breakfast was okay

Bad points:
* the night receptionist (not sure his name) was NOT welcoming or helpfull in anyway and quite rude. We arrived very late at night and felt like an inconvinience for him. No explanation of the hotel, we had to find our own way around.

*bedding/towels was hit or miss. We had some which had stains and black marks on them. When we went to reception to collect new clean sheets we were huffed and puffed from the night receptionist.

*Trying to sleep is difficult from all the screaming/ shouting/banging from drunk youngsters in the hotel and from quads speeding up and down the carpark.

* there is no dress code in the resturant which is a new for me. So people are walking around bare foot with not a lot of clothes on.

I am very satisfied that I came to this hotel. It has a good location. The rooms are clean. The staff is very attentive and polite, they are ready to help you as much as they can. Also very nice staff at the bar. Food is very tasty, varied, well prepared.

The hotel deserves 4 stars. Clean rooms (cleaned daily), have air conditioning, good wi-fi, a wide range of food at breakfast and dinner. Convenient location, there are bus stops nearby; 600m to the nearest beach. Among the minuses, sound insulation is very poor, you can hear everything from the corridors and balconies☹️

PROS

The staff are actually very very good. They were helpful at every point, providing directions, making adjustments for us quickly. We had an issue with key card, which was resolved almost immediately.

Food was the stand out for Riverrock. The breakfast is included and has a range of foods including omelletes/eggs, waffles, cereals, yogurts, muffins,croissants, fruits, vegetables, cheeses
Not to mention serving a full English- egg/bacon/beans/sausages/mushrooms/tomatoes

They also do lunch although we never tried and also an excellent dinner - again didn't have a chance yo try but it looked great as we walked past. We did have the desserts one night and it was very good

The hotel has a nice pool and is located in a really good location

CONS

There was a lot of noise in the morning from the hotel staff as they moved the trolleys at around 5.30-7am

The gym had some machines, but actually would have been way better wih simply having a set of dumbbells.

We had a pleasure to stay at this hotel in mid-November. Despite the low season and the very limited variety of offers during breakfast, we were offered special meals from chef and cooked individually for us. The general waitress - Katarina - is a great professional, we were feeling welcomed as guests during our whole stay. The hotel itself is quite fresh and modern, daily cleaning available. It’s a great value for money especially in the low season. I hope to come again one day.

This is the best 3 star hotel I’ve stayed in. The location is brilliant. The hotel is spotless. Staff cannot do enough for you.. especially the reception staff. I had a really late flight so didn’t check in until midnight , the man on the reception checking me in was brilliant.
Breakfast was lovely.
I found the rooms a great size, clean and tidy.
I would recommend this hotel. Great value for money.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Liza and Sami were very helpful. I really appreciate them. If I come back to Cyprus I wouldn't hesitate to book at this hotel.

It is a great hotel, lovely staff and good food. The only issue we noticed is the slippery floor on the top floor (which is partially opened). But other than that, I am extremely happy with our choice :D
