Evalena Beach Hotel in Protaras

Wow!!

Returned home on 9th November after a wonderful week here. Second time in protaras but first time at this hotel.

Hotel spotlessly clean and staff ao friendly and helpful. Ideal location next to the protatas pier which was so handy for a boat trip we took.

10/ 15 minute walk to the main strip but there are restaurants around the hotel.

We did b & b and there was so much choice.

Pool was lovely. Never struggled for a sun bed.

Used the hair dressers which was brilliant and so handy as was attending a wedding.

Will definitely be back 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Clean rooms and friendly staff.
The hotel lobby smells amazing and is so clean.
Bar staff are so efficient and friendly.
Good selection of drinks on offer and reasonably priced.
Nice pool area and beach virtually next to the hotel. Lots of other beaches close by to chose from.

We booked to celebrate a very special occasion for us, the room was amazing great view and spacious. General manager was super lovely and friendly very accommodating and made our stay extra special for us. Breakfast buffet had alot of delicious options and staff were so lovely specially the young gentleman with the moustache finding me my tall glass with ice so I can make ice coffee. Would definitely come back ☺️

Have stayed here many times over 20years before the renovations.We go breakfast only which suits us,we had a lovely stay.Rooms cleaned daily beds change every other day.We arrived to a afruit platter and wine.The reception staff night staff all friendly. George the manager his Dad Andreas his mum and Ava always chatty and remember us from all our previous visits.The cleaning staff always cheerful.We go into Pernera 20 minute walk on the front to Issaks where 2sunbeds and parasol 6euros for the day and if you want the beach there is one there

+ location was perfect, because not crowded but bear the beach and town staff and cleaning was perfect
- got a little bit fed up with breakfast, but it actually was pretty good

A fantastic beachfront getaway! The location on Fig Tree Bay is perfect, the rooms are modern and clean, and the breakfast buffet is amazing. The staff were lovely and so helpful.
Waking up to that sea view from our balcony was the best part. The pool area is great, the food was delicious, and everything was spotless.
Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

We were very happy with the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms nice and clean. The breakfast was good but could be better, especially fresh fruit salad and more bread varieties would be good. We can only recommend the Evalena. Price/performance is right.

We recently stayed at this lovely hotel for the fourth time and yet again had a lovely time. It is impeccably clean and comfortable, the food is lovely and the service from George and all of his staff was excellent once again. Can’t wait to come back next year. Thanks for making our holiday so enjoyable everyone.

First of all a massive thank you to Front of House. Svetlana and Julia. The welcome could not be warmer and after a long journey, that is all you need. Petrana in House Keeping was exceptional. Professional, warm, kind and our room was like coming home every day.

We have been going to the Evalena even before it was refurbished and the location cannot be beaten. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast in the morning has something for everyone.

This is a 5 start Hotel and my only negative is some of the male hospitality staff were a little surly and sometimes rude (also noted by other customers). The service at the Evalena restaurant at the front near the beach needs to be looked at in terms of service as we ate there once and would never go back due to the service (or lack of it). Such a contrast to the inside of the hotel and the service we receieved there.

We will be back next year as always and thank you for a wonderful stay.

Good sized rooms fitted to a reasonable standard. A bigger TV would probably have suited the room better given its size but overall clean and tidy. Cleaning was daily and to a good standard. In fact the whole hotel was very well maintained and kept clean. Only minor issue was that the room towels were a little 'old' with frayed edges. Location is very central and we could get about easily both on foot in the local area and by car to sight see. Breakfast was a bit of a maul, lots of people in a small sized serving area. Selection was good, though regularly ran out of items such as pancakes and fried eggs. It was possible to wait and ask for something if it wasn't immediately available. We live in Cyprus and always intended on driving around and seeing the local area, which for us meant we had everything we needed. I would caution anyone visiting on an organised holiday without transport that the pool area was quite small and all the sunbeds were routinely filled. We feel very lucky we didn't have to fight every morning for a sum lounger. The pool was also a little small. Also, being right next to the hotel, the hotel shaded out parts of the pool area at times significantly reducing the amount of good tanning time. Getting the right bed early can maximise your experience so advise anyone going for a pool side experience to get there early. We noticed that despite signs warning patrons not to reserve beds, this was often disregarded and happened a lot. Overall, it was a good experience, though I would probably pay more money and go elsewhere if we intended on staying at a hotel and sunbathing.
