Aliathon Ionian Hotel in Paphos

Lovely little gallery gift shop we discovered on holiday. Wanted to buy small gifts to take back home with us, l could of bought the whole shop! There was lots of beautiful things and jewellery, many are made by hand and crafted in Cyprus locally, which l thought was fantastic! Nice lady who owned shop was very helpfull and chatty
& smiley, and showed me her fabulous handmade soaps " Mediterranean " l can recommend, it smells gorgeous! All my items were wrapped up carefully in tissue paper and put in a lovely recyclable paper carrier for a safe journey home.

Short transfer from airport. Quick check in, cold buffet and drinks available as restaurant closed. Bags taken to room. Excellent room, plenty of towels, hangers, robes. Free pool towels from spa with reception voucher. Room safe 3 euros per day. Late checkout 6pm 60 euros. Great air con. Fantastic TUI reps and ents team “the Purples” shout out to Gemma a real star and everyone really so much fun always smiling. Food and drink at all times of day very wide variety, efficient and super clean. Evening entertainment good especially for kids initially plenty of games, music for adults too. Pools gorgeous largest in Cyprus. Loads to do and see. Hired a medium sized car via TUI (Europcar) pleasant experience and 45 euros with full additional no quibble insurance cover. Hotel staff very customer focused. Shout outs especially to Tony and Yannis everyone really helpful and ensure you enjoy the best experience. May return highly recommended. But like to try Rhodes HV. One improvement would be regular surface cleaning ie lifts which are in constant use

Absolutely beautiful hotel, couldn't fault the food, rooms and public areas extremely clean. All the staff/management were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help with any problems/queries we had during our stay. Been to nearly all HV hotels and this one has to be my favourite by far!!!! Highly recommend 💯

Our 4th time at this amazing place and never disappointed, on the contrary, the hotel is getting better each time we came to stay here. We stayed again at the Aegean SwimUps, we are totally in love with this part of the hotel and will definitely rebook this place for September this year. The rooms are very clean, spacious and very comfortable beds. One thing i keep repeating: i do miss in the room or outside the balcony something to dry your swimwear. Thank you to the housekeeping, the lovely Miss Eleni, such a wonderful lady. The resort is huge but divided into different parts which gives you the feeling that there is no overload of guests. The resort is really well kept and clean, the pools and gardens are top. The restaurant offering a huge variety, really very tasty food and the seating goes very smoothly. The staff, friendly and helpful in any way they can making your stay relaxing and enjoyable. All goes very easy and smooth. A special thanks to Yiannis, the operations manager, whatever you need or whatever issue you have, go and find him and he will solve all very swiftly. Always with a bright smile , humor but the issue will be taken care of in no time. A real professional! Also kudos to Pambos Charalambous, the bar manager who makes the most delicious cocktails! He turns a simple cocktail into a fairytale with a divine taste. We thank once more all the Aliathon Resort Staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We will return in September 2024!

Clean hotel, good food, friendly hotel staff and comfortable beds. Good air con in room. We stayed in the hotel in a partition room. The room was great but the partition didn’t really achieve much in the way of privacy. Downside was the daily battle to locate sunbeds but the staff would assist if you asked. The HV staff for kids clubs and activities were great in particular, Chloe, April and Chris

This is the most amazing hotel for children we have ever been to. We travel a lot and nothing will beat the children’s entertainment. From 10 in the mornings til 6 at night. So much to do my twins enjoyed everything. So many to list they are nearly 12 and were never bored. What an entertainment team Chris and Gemma definitely deserve a mention for going above and beyond as do stu and Trevor at the football academy but the whole team went above and further. What a great place. Our first time in Cyprus and we will definitely return for sure. Something for everyone. Yannis in the food hall always welcomed us every time we ate he also deserves this mention as I don’t think he ever went home to his family to make our stay the best. We really didn’t want to leave this holiday and wish we had done more than a week. They all came to say goodbye to us all. We’re back in rainy England now and wish we could go back for sure. If you’re looking for a fantastic holiday with children you definitely should go here. I’ve recommended to friends already and only been back a few days. Thanks to everyone at the holiday village. This hotel was voted the best last year 8 years in a row and I can see why. Room’s spacious. Food incredible loads all the time. Pools massive. No need to put towels down there is so much space. Only 25 mins from airport we did one trip to the zoo and I’ve never been to a zoo with such relaxed and well cared for animals. The parrot show was brilliant. The elephants you can go in and feed them ( we didn’t as time ran out on us ) it is £50 euros but the experience would have been great. You need to take cash for the zoo we ate there and it was reasonably priced. Lots of walking. We didn’t get to see it all as the coach trip was only 3 half hours. You need probably another couple of hours if you want to see it all. Very hot the day we went so we were quite happy with the time we had we’ve laughed so much. Are too much. And drank too much but had a ball. I don’t normally do reviews but felt definitely had to give this holiday a big shout out. A lot of holidays we done and paid less but this will take some beating for better times. Looking for next year to book already. Thanks to all at the holiday village for the amazing memories made for our family.

Just back from a 10 day all inclusive break with 2 teenagers. This place is brilliant! It’s a huge complex so it takes abit to find where everything is. They actually have golf buggies that you can get ask to get transferred anywhere in the complex Feedback- hotel should supply a map at check in as everything is so spread out. The map we saw in the grounds was faded and we didn’t know where we were going for dinner. Food- good selection at buffet restaurant. Didn’t have any issues at all even with 2 fussy teenagers. You can also book the Mexican or Greek restaurant for 1 night per week. Both were great but preferred the Mexican. Drinks- all local spirits and beer. Outside bar has a self service station for fizzy juice, water, beer and wine which is great as never busy. All drinks served in small plastic cups. TIP bring your own reusable cups especially if it one that keeps your drink cool. We stayed in the Ionian family room which was good. Air con was amazing and you felt the heat hit you when you opened your room door. Due to staying in this part of the hotel, you can use the swim up pool which has a pool bar also which is great. Please note- don’t waste money on swim up rooms as the pool is used by everyone. They have swim up rooms at the front and rear of the hotel. The swim up rooms at the rear have the pool bar but the rooms don’t get the sun until late in the afternoon. Also sunbeds face into the swim up rooms. Entertainment- this was hit and miss! The entertainment team were really good. They are great with the kids and put on good shows. All of them were great. Dylan, Ben, Shannon, twig and Chloe all 5 stars We felt there’s too much talking on the microphone and it’s quiz after quiz. We all said a night with just some background music on would be great after the main show but they seem to try and have something on every night until 11pm. The best night we had was when there was a karaoke night on our 1st night and they didn’t have it again in our 10 day stay. Activities- there’s lots of activities for all ages to get involved In. You can do as little or as much as you want. Some activities have a charge like football academy or swim academy but they have days where they have free sessions. They also have a high ropes area which is good for a little change. Our kids done the football academy and loved it. Shout out to T and Trevor who were great with the kids. Only thing was they were playing in the heat of 40 degrees but still loved it. Pools- there’s a massive main pool area, a splash park for smaller kids and a swim up pool. All were great and needed in the heat. The provide pool towels however the don’t cover the full sun bed so you might have to bring another towel. Sunbeds- there are loads of them however you do have to get up early to get some. Yannis the manager was out every day and removing towels if the beds weren’t used in an hour which was great to see. I had the most amazing time at this resort. Staff were absolutely wonderful, and couldn’t me more helpful if they tried. Food was so delicious, rooms were so comfortable as were the beds. Sienna the domestic, was an absolute lovely woman, so friendly as were all the other domestic staff( sorry I didn’t get their names. Restaurant staff too. Children’s activities were brilliant, and my grandson was in his element. Brilliant holiday , and coming back next year, the only complaint was the time flew by too quickly. Thank you so much Yiannis, receptionists and just everyone. Oh, and last but not least, the buggy staff who helped taking us to the mini market , and back. Christine Garrity. Scotland.

My review is for the amazing bar staff especially Alex the bar manager… without a doubt first class service always. He always goes above and beyond our expectations. If he weren’t there I don’t think the place would be the same or that we would even come. His assistant Adalin amazing too
