Reviews
The hotel itself is modern and well maintained, it's location is the perfect mix between quiet / away from the huddle and bussle of Paphos harbour but still just a lovely coastal path walk away, there is a shop for necessities inside the hotel but just across the road you'll find a pharmacy, cafe and plenty of shops.
The services provided were second to none, the staff were always happy and approachable and made this a hotel we will be returning to again very soon
The entire place is rough around the edges, more specifically:
- The carpets leading to the rooms need replacing.
- The door frames and the doors need replacing.
- Using the safe comes at a price. That's a kind of charge from 20 years ago, not in 2024!
- Breakfast drinks and coffee are subpar.
- The room decoration is dated, they should definitely do better if they claim to be a 4+ hotel.
- The bathroom is also dated.
Overall, this isn't value for money.
This is a very good hotel and people working here are excellent.
Probably not a 4* but no problem recommending it.
Situated right on the beach which is rocky and uneven, if not steady on your feet you could have a problem.
Lots of sunbeds and beach towels provided. Rooms are really spacious with lots of storage available. You will need to pay 3€ per day for safe and comes with a big key that you have to carry around.
Drinks are local, you probably need to try different ones to find one you like, not all great. Enjoyed the red wine with dinner. Food is really good.
Entertainment is quite good with some good singers. Should really get Elvis inside at the reception bar and not outside, would get everyone singing and dancing.
If you're not aware Cyprus use the same 3 pin plugs as UK, but bring your plugs and long lead for phone chargers as no USB points in room.
We had 2 weeks here and was great.
When we got over this and a very nice employee who I believe is a busboy sprayed the room with ant killer we started our honeymoon expecting a special break , but unfortunately things did not improve, last time around the staff were so attentive and kind , this time round they seem to be a different group and don't seem as bothered and come across as rude, even at dinner they will stare at you with a empty drink and not ask if you would like another or even remove empty glass, Qs at the bars are ridiculous, standards through out have dropped considerably, food is repetitive, drinks are tasteless , again total opposite to last year. Pool area is dirty , pool looks like it's never cleaned , housekeeping makes your bed and that's about it, we had same smear on mirror and dead ants on floor and sticky substance on table since day 1 , sheets don't get changed just remind you as your reading this *honeymoon suite*.
If you are late rises you will not get a sunbed and asking pool staff to help you find some is met with distain and rude comments , to the point where a fellow guest had to get involved and say to them space here !
I decided to make use of the whirlpool bath , got it filled nice warm water , turned it on just to be greeted with hair skin and black gunge being pumped out the jets .
Unfortunately we both fell very poorly with flu like symptoms 2/3 days in , we suspect it's from the unfiltered very dusty Aircon but obviously we cannot prove this. (Pictures included)
Now for the kicker , we paid over £3700 for the pleasure and let the hotel know was our honeymoon, we didn't want red carpet but ants In room and a room that needs repairing wasn't our idea of a honeymoon.
I know we should of kicked up a fuss but every time we tried was met with rude comments and almost them telling us how we should feel !! "Very nice room" etc "ants at my house"
So overall very upset and very disappointed, not the honeymoon me and my wife wanted.
I've included pictures
Again
HONEYMOON SUITE
Firstly, I must commend Athena (GR), Nicholas, and Christos (bar staff) for their exceptional service throughout our stay. They were attentive, friendly, and always went the extra mile to make us feel welcome.
The accommodations were top-notch, with a bed so comfortable it felt like sleeping on clouds. Our room was beautifully appointed and provided a cozy retreat after a busy day of wedding preparations.
Speaking of the wedding, I couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to help bring our special day to life. The staff pulled out all the stops to make sure everything ran smoothly, and their attention to detail was truly impressive.
As if that wasn't enough, we were pleasantly surprised with extra gifts in our room, both before and after the wedding. It was these thoughtful touches that really made us feel valued as guests.
Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. With different themed nights every evening, each meal was a delightful adventure for the taste buds. And the quality remained consistently outstanding throughout our stay.
While the entertainment was enjoyable, what really stood out was the effort put into activities for both kids and adults. From fun games to archery sessions, there was never a dull moment at the hotel.
Overall, our experience was nothing short of magical. The combination of wonderful staff, luxurious accommodations, delicious food, and unforgettable wedding memories made our stay truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return for our anniversary!
We knew we had picked the best hotel when we were greeted by the manager with a glass of Prosecco and canapés. As someone with disabilities I was impressed that they changed my room booking to ground floor with walk in shower. Every member of staff we met had impeccable customer service skills and were caring.
Room
The room was spotlessly clean and housekeeping visited daily. We had a mini bar which was replenished every day with water and non alcoholic drinks. Clean towels every day too. The room was quite large with plenty of storage for us both. The terrace was very private and not overlooked. Air conditioning was free of charge but there was a small charge for the safety deposit box. I recommend taking earplugs due to minimal soundproofing but we both slept exceptionally well. The beds are high quality and super comfortable. Extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities although it was not needed for us.
Food
The main dining room was spacious and spotless. Food provided on a self service basis although waiter service provided any drinks. The food varied day to day with theme nights. Everything we ate was delicious. Cooking stations too the fresh omelettes were exceptional. Food to suit most nationalities the beef stefado was the best I have had to date. Plentiful salads, desserts, hot food, even a children’s table with their favourite foods. The pool area provided delicious snacks and lunch with a view. The Italian a la carte is actually the pool restaurant that is re purposed in the evening to the a la carte not a separate restaurant. You can visit here free once per week. We were a little disappointed with our a la carte experience. The starters were shared bread with olive oil and about the smallest drip of balsamic I have ever seen. The single stuffed mushroom we shared was not to our taste. However the fish for main was beautiful cooked and seasoned, the Tiramisù was just average. Lovely change but I would not pay to visit the a la carte as we both thought the food in the main restaurant was better overall.
If you are going out for the day you can even request a packed lunch the day before and collect a breakfast.
Alcoholic drinks are included if they are local branded alcohol such as we have in the UK is an extra charge. The inside bars provided lovely cocktails too, but the outside bar cocktails were very weak in comparison. This suited us though as they were refreshing and we are not big drinkers.
Pools
Again exceptionally clean, sun beds plentiful with no scrambling to find one. One indoor pool we didn’t use and three outdoor pools. One outdoor shallow baby pool, one larger pool for all and one small adult only pool. The adult only pool was adequate size to cool of but we had a couple of occasions when we had to inform parents it was adult only. The signage could be clearer for this. The beach was a stone’s throw away.
The beach
Not really a swimming beach as most days it was quite rough. Large rocks underneath meant difficult entry but a nice sandy area to relax and listen to the waves. Beautiful sunsets.
Entertainment
We didn’t try the evening entertainment but the team were lovely in the day. There was archery, quiz, yoga, aqua aerobics, shuffleboard, boules all included. Big shout out to the lovely ‘Luna’.
We witnessed such kindness from staff, there were tables reserved near the food for disabled although we did not need this. The gentleman waiter would plate what was requested for anyone having difficulty to walk and serve it to their table for them, which was just lovely to see.
The manager who welcomed us insisted on seeing us off. She waited for our bus with us, gave each of us a hug goodbye and wished us safe travels, I have never experienced anywhere else. We met other guests who have been re visiting the Louis Ledra yearly for 10 years another couple every year for 7 years and we can see why. .
PERFECT HOLIDAY
