I would rate this a 3 star not 4. The food has room for improvement. Some of the staff where miserable but Andrea was a very pleasant young man. My request for a quiet room was not met. Location was good and close enough to walk to the harbour.

How is this classed at only 4 star,definitely 5 plus maybe higher.we didn't get the room we paid for of the view but ours was fantastic anyway,we're not people to quibble about silly things after all on holiday a room is for just sleeping and cleaning and storage.As for the staff,they are the most selfless,thoughtful, caring people we have encountered on our many journeys. The food is outstanding, so much choice and we love the themed nights,the hotel is so clean and well maintained, staff helpful and amazing,definitely stems from the management, manager is just simply the nicest most down to earth man you could meet.
We have nothing but praise for this amazing place, will definitely be coming back to cyprus, paphos and definitely here.

Just returned from a holiday in this wonderful hotel. What an amazing time we had. We didn't want to leave. Fantastic friendly staff who were always available for anything that was required. Superb room with sea view, amazing food. So much choice for breakfast and beautifully prepared. I loved the Cyprus night with all the Cypriot dishes, singing and traditional dancing. My father was Greek Cypriot and this brought back so many memories. Watching the sunset over the sea. I could go on forever. It was sad to say goodbye. Thank you all so much.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like king and Queens as we had our wedding booked. We had prosecco welcome drinks a romantic room.turn down on arrival and afternoon style tea in the room.as we missed dinner. And got a room upgrade.

Wedding day 21.10.25 WOW, the buffet food we chose for our menu was out of this world 🌎 😋 everyone made comment on how good it was!!
My only minus was our wedding cake didn't get cut up so hardly anyone ate it. But in grand scheme that wasn't a big deal.
Thank you for helping us have the most amazing wedding day ❤️ I would 100% recommend ATG for weddings and we have already said we will be back for our anniversary 😀

Been to Paphos multiple times but have stayed at a different hotel on all inclusive basis. We have decided to stay at Alexander The Great after walking past on numerous occasions & it always looked nice so we thought we would chance it.
We arrived after dinner service & found a plate of food in the room. Reception told us we had a welcome drink aswell but never received this. We booked full board plus which we thought was different to just full board but it was the same. Room location was good & what we had booked a sea view.
The hotel has an excellent system in place with sunbed allocation for your stay which can be amended if you are not happy. We were allocated sunbeds 65 which were in a perfect location overlooking the beach & a short walk from the pool area.
Food in the hotel not the greatest & not a lot of choice quite similar most nights & lot of beef & pork! A little suggestion for lunches would be to have the continental meats & cheeses out at lunch rather than just breakfast as these would have been perfect with salads. A number of times we went in the restaurant at lunch time seemed to be short staffed & we had to take a seat ourselves & wait a while for our only drink order to be taken.
In the bar area I was sat for almost 1 hour for a waiter/waitress to ask me if I want a drink (there were 3 members of staff on at the time). Bar prices are competitive with local bars which was good.
We booked a room with late check out as our flight was not until 10pm but received a letter from the hotel reception advising that we would re-activate our room key & extend the sunbed allocation which we were fine with, but if we wanted an evening meal we would have to pay for this, even though the food was not the greatest it would have been nice for the hotel to offer this free of charge.
Overall the hotel is lovely & located in a perfect location but unfortunately I don't think we will be returning due to the food not being up to standard for us & us preferring the all inclusive option.

A very comfortable hotel, with lazy sunlight in the Mediterranean winter afternoon, red wine, delicious food, violin in the evening... I flew here from the gloomy, rainy and cold weather in London in winter, and instantly felt that the prices were beautiful, the people were friendly, and everything was very happy...

Excellent hotel. Perhaps due to the small number of visitors, a selective approach to food. Very responsive staff, many Russian-speaking employees. I liked everything very much.

A very nice hotel with a great location on the beach. A nice size where it’s not too big or too small but with plenty of space. Staff are friendly and service is good. Lots of entertainment and food and drinks are also very good with plenty of choices. Sunbed system is perfect and the pools and beach are also great. Breakfast is a large selection with something for everyone and very tasty. Balcony rooms are very nice with sea views.
