Maris Grand Waterpark Resort in Protaras

Very nice refurbished hotel, rooms lovely aircon brilliant. Nice food bit same old, but plenty to choose from. Snack bar bit boring. Pool very nice but felt bit small for hotel size.sunbeds absolute nightmare! Never managed to get one until around 1pm, not enough for size of hotel, people queue up at stupid o clock to get beds and dump towels and go off for hours,think it should be allocated to each room. Entertainment a bit poor, and again not enough seating in the outdoor areas.Bar staff were miserable Reception manager was unhelpful Water off for 4 hours said it was a burst main but literally a few doors down they had 💦 I always polite and friendly found the staff not friendly at all.Im basing this hotel on others I’ve said at with a lesser rating, needs improvement but overall ok, think it was expensive for what it was.probably wouldn’t stay again.

Bit concerned about the previous reviews regarding cleanliness and horrible food. We stayed here end of July 2025 family of 4. The hotel is brand new. In fact too new, some facilities were not ready, like the waterpark and indoor pool etc. however this doesn't take away from the fact this hotel is ideally located not far from the *****, has azing staff, clean and amazing food. The only negative was the evening entertainment was placed outside and not that good. The issue surrounding sun beds is a massive one with many guests occupying sun beds and not using them. This despite being a rule not to place towels on sunbeds prior to 9am. Towels were placed by many before 7am so your chances of getting a long lye and then getting a sun bed is none. I would say the hotel is a 4 star and probably in the next year or so the price will jump as the facilities open. I wish the hotel all the best.

Having literally just finished 10 days holiday at Maris Grand its only fair to leave a review for a new hotel to help other guests with there choices! Here Goes..... Family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children 8&9 Bedroom: had a family room which consisted of main bathroom, wardrobe near entrance, safe and fridge. Two single beds together and a vanity unit with large tv. All good! Childrens separate bedroom with physical door had a sofa bed each made up into single and sliding door leading onto balcony. If you go out onto balcony whilst aircon on, it does switch off which is my only bedroom gripe! Kept clean and towels changed daily when left on floor. Restaurant: We've stayed in many resorts and can honestly say we've enjoyed the food every day. Haven't touched the snack bar as 3 meals a day is PLENTY for us but there was always nuggets, chips etc for fussy eaters! Each night is themed and there was a choice of meats and fish typically available with sides. Kids LOVED puddings. Would love to see pizza on the Italian night because those in the a la carte were delicious! Bar: Great choice of cocktails and short list of branded alcohol we took advantage of. Iced coffees with Baileys were a nice daytime treat for us and kids enjoyed multiple ice creams daily too available in freezer next to bar. Pool/waterpark: This was opened part way into our stay but it didn't hinder our holiday. We knew before coming it wasn't likely to be operational so already planned to venture to sister hotel to use their waterpark on the free shuttle organised by hotel. Easy enough process and actually broke up the day nicely. Food at Maris definitely nicer 😊 couple of slides not working by end of our stay but 3 were for children to enjoy and race down. Entertainment: Ladies organising day activities fabulous! Id say if the hotel maybe had a pool table and table tennis guests would really enjoy those as an addition to the dart board! Evening entertainment could be better but in all honesty, its just opening and chances are this point in the year finding good Evening entertainment that isn't booked up isn't likely. Luckily enough, after a couple of drinks in the hotel it is less than 10 minutes simple walk to the ***** passing shops and restaurants as you go! We gave this hotel a chance and so glad we did. I would think twice about reading reviews about things going missing. I left money, jewellery, wardrobe full of designer clothes, bags and shoes and it's not worth their jobs stealing a bit of makeup or a top! My daughter 'lost' a hat. We asked at reception and they asked us to describe it as had some but it wasn't handed in....... because she'd kicked it under the bed! It happens. We would stay here again and have recommended to family. One final thing which tends to be important...... now things have opened and more guests staying the fight for sunbeds has commenced!
