Tsokkos Gardens Hotel

Just got back from 10 days staying in the apartments and for the second year in a row, couldn’t fault it. If you expect the 3* holiday that you paid for you will not be disappointed! Food is typical for an AI, all fresh, warm and plenty of options even with fussy kids! Entertainment could be better in the evening but my two girls were happy with the disco and playing with friends outside. Rooms were immaculate and friendly cleaners came every single day with fresh bedding and towels. Air con in the rooms is perfect. All staff friendly and welcoming and will help wherever they can. Pool is cleaned every single morning and like all hotels, you need to wake up early to get a sunbed. The water park is 2 min walk across the road and is free if you book with Jet2. On the days we didn’t get a subbed we spent the morning at the water park and then came back after lunch where there were beds available for an afternoon at the pool. The thing that lets this hotel down are the people moaning. Moaning at reception because you got up late and didn’t get a sunlounger, moaning that you want 5* food for 3* prices, moaning that the enterainment isn’t good but yet you have so many brilliant bars at your finger tips. People want a cheaper holiday but expect 5* and that’s on them not the hotel. If you go for a clean apartment, plenty of fun and a relaxed feel with AI buffet style food every day you’ll have a great time. If the hotel was as bad as these reviews wouldn’t have paid 4k to return with my kids!

Had a really good holiday on the whole with myself, husband and teenager. The hotel room was clean with a great balcony overlooking the pool. We were All Inclusive and the food and drinks were really good although the breakfast juices were far too sweet and needed watering down and the glasses were like tiny shot-glasses which was odd. The staff work really hard particularly in the restaurant and seem to be constantly monitored by an over bearing manager. We got the impression along with other reviews that staff are not treated very well due to maybe a toxic management chain. If staff are treated well it filters down to the guests. None of the staff had name badges in the dining areas and never spoke or hardly smiled. Patrick in the restaurant was very nice, friendly and looked after us though. We witnessed a couple of managers shouting at staff in front of guests, something we have never witnessed anywhere before. The WiFi is free, you just need to log-in and choose the basic one. We had a strange phone call to our room from reception at 6.30 am one morning telling us there was a fire in the room! we were all woken up and shocked. There was no fire in our room and non of us smoke. I went to speak to reception to query what had happened and was told the systems in the hotel detected smoke. The lady in reception apologised but It left us with a bad feeling about the hotel and the professionalism of it’s staff. We noted after this that the corridor our room was on did smell of smoke now and again which was more than likely coming from the staff lift area and not the guests rooms. A bit surprised we had to pay for the room safe when staying all inclusive as no other hotel we have stayed in for a long times has charged us for the safe. With a few small tweaks here and there this hotel could be brilliant and overall we had a great time and would stay again.

Fantastic resort just got back from a week’s holiday, food was great, a-lot of choices and well thought out at each meal time. everything for everyone, we thought the tea time experience was a really good idea, breakfast help yourself and find a table, lunch, you are shown to a table and they take a drink order from you and you go and get your meal of choices, tea time, separate dining area that gives you that eat out feel, staff are dressed in waiters clothes you are shown to a table and your drinks order taken, before going to get your buffet of foods. the little touches of an all inclusive holiday of a free safe, free pool/beach towels, free tv remote and free wifi, just these make a difference as not a-lot of resorts offer these without a deposit or some fee. Hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy, staff work hard to keep it spotless. Pool areas were very clean and pool toilets checked and cleaned regularly. Found soft drinks, beer offered and spirits etc all branded not the cheap stuff you find at most resorts. Beer is local and branded. Cocktails are also included with a variety of drinks included and not separate fee. Mocktail versions for children too. Could not fault the hotel or holiday, we are already thinking of returning next year. Nothing was too much trouble. The only little negatives i have, sunbeds are taken very early. I think extra sunbeds are needed around the pool areas, both pools get very busy from 6am with towels on sunbeds need to reserve early. Not alot of beds around pool areas, Found the beds very uncomfortable and hard and a little outdated rooms, the A/C was very good was definitely needed in the heat. I hope they continue there little touches of free amenities as this just makes the experience that much more. 5 minutes walk to the beach and shops next door, the sister hotel for the water park is literally allocated over the road. The water park was a great little resort even though its the sister hotel and you can use the water park unlimited, you still have to pay for any drinks etc you have whilst there as it’s not included in your all inclusive plan. Which didn’t bother us at all. Some guests complained about this but i thought it was reasonable. A great holiday for 4 of us, 2 adults, 16 year old and an 11 year old that suited everyone, entertainment was good at night something for everyone, children’s day activities with a childrens entertainer from ping pong, pool, football, water games etc they enjoyed getting involved in these activities too. Pools were warm, clean and family friendly, it was like getting into a bath by midday! But still cooled you off from the 40c heat!!!

Overall, our stay was nice, but there were definitely a few things that could be improved. There weren’t too many animation activities during the day or evening, and the ones that were available weren’t particularly interesting in our opinion. The food was good in terms of quality, but after a few days it started to feel a bit repetitive. The rooms were mostly clean and cleaned daily, although sometimes the housekeeping staff forgot to replace towels or other small items. Reception staff was friendly and helpful, which we really appreciated. What really frustrated us, though, was the lack of sunbeds by the pool. It was almost impossible to find any available ones unless we came super early, even before breakfast. Most of the beds were already taken – often by people who weren’t even at the pool. That was quite disappointing.
