Reviews
It's modern, exceptionally clean, and very well maintained. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble for them.
The location is ideal: just off the main strip, so it's central and in walking distance of everything but still quiet and relaxing.
We did encounter a minor issue during our stay, but as soon as the manager became aware, he went above and beyond to resolve it. He is approachable, professional, and clearly takes great pride in the hotel and ensuring guest satisfaction.
The hotel has a lot going for it—we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!
Service:
5* level, exceptional. Staff are kind, helpful, and available at all times. They even know a little bit of each guest's language to make them feel welcomed.
Food:
Good variety, every day has a theme (Cypriot night, Asian, Mexican...). You get all the cutlery from entreé to dessert and the foods are all labeled with allergens - big plus for this one!
Rooms:
Very clean, standard size, pretty new furniture. They get cleaned with a push of a button as often as needed.
Location:
The only downside - our balcony had a view of a children's pool and a parking lot. We could also see a part of the Magic Dancing Waters Show right from our balcony from where the wind blew a smell of gasoline at the end. The hotel itself is a brisk walk away from the beaches, the promenade, and all the little tourist shops.
Atmosphere:
The hotel is pretty quiet, the pools are divided for adults only and a childrens' one. Not too many families so the ambience is chill. There are musicians playing / singing on the lounge terrace after dinner creating a good atmosphere.
The restaurant, breakfast is lovely, the young woman who cooks the omelettes always smiling and friendly. Filios, was alwasy walking around checking on guests and also a lovely man who clearly cares as much as Nikos. Nikos, clearly expects his staff to be as passionate about customer care as much as himself and with 95% of the staff this is clear. There are a few niggles with the Hotel and I do think a couple of the staff let Mr Nikos and the Blue Ivy team down.
Lunch, is excellent we only ate there twice but the food and service was exceptional led by Markpos, the restaurant manager, another lovely chap.
Dinner, we never ate there so can't really comment.
The chap that runs the bar, although there are sometimes queues, these disappear quickly as he is often serving several guests all at the same time.
Sunbeds are comfortable, adults only section is lovely.
The minor niggles for me, was the Kabana's had loose screws / nuts and the back fell backwards and popped out on more than one occasion. I went across to the Lifeguard / Pool Bar Man and the response was very ordinary. He forgot twice and after a while I gave up asking and went and sat in the shade. Whilst there, the assistant manager, Trefor (I think was his name but I'm not sure I've spelt it correctly), walked across and asked if I was OK and I explained the sunbe issue. He was straight onto this and it was fixed (properly) within 5 to 10 minutes. Again, the assistant manager a lovely chap who cares about the guests.
The manager at reception, Anna, I think lets the side down. She is the first point of contact for issues and isn't particularly helpful and a little rude. I'm not sure her Englsh is great (probably far better than my Greek). I contacted her with a few issues, mainly the bed linen as it was causing me some discomfort (probably due to the detergent used - but this isnt uncommon for me as my skin is quite sensitive). This was eventually resolved but Anna, wasn't very helpful at all. Again I don't know whether there is a language barrier.
David, on the front desk is a wonderful chap, always smiling, always happy to help and again clearly embraces the way in which Mr Nikos wants his staff to behave.
We will probably return to the Hotel.
The african guy who runs the pool bar isnt the most productive of people and neither him or the female who works with him in the pool bar do much tidying around the pool area. The female (a blonde lady), again lets the side down. She stays behind the bar, quite hard faced, doesnt move, and doesnt seem to do a great deal.
This feedback is mainly for Mr Nikos, so that he can hopefully educate all his staff to behave like him.
If I was Mr Nikos I would spend sometime maybe with Anna, to increase her customer service skills and probably release both staff at the pool bar and employ staff that are more productive
