Ocak Hotel in Berlin

Our stay at Ocak Hotel was disappointing.

At check-in, the lady at the reception didn’t make us feel welcome at all. She was unfriendly and unhelpful — every time we needed assistance, it felt like we had to convince her to help.

Later that day, we discovered that taking a shower floods the entire bathroom and part of the corridor because the drain doesn’t work properly. Even half an hour after showering, water would still be standing there. We called reception, and a manager came, but he didn’t speak any English. He said the issue would be sorted, but all they did was clean up the water — nothing was actually fixed, so the same thing happened every day after that.

The TV remote didn’t work, and although we mentioned it, no one ever followed up.

The “kitchenette” was another disappointment: just a few empty cupboards, no plates or cutlery, a fridge that doesn’t cool at all (even on the highest setting), and a tiny kettle with two cups and two glasses. You’d honestly get colder storage by leaving food on the windowsill.

On the positive side, the location is great, the bed was comfortable, and the room was cleaned daily.

Overall, next time I’m in Berlin, I’ll look for a different place to stay.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE at Ocak Aparthotel!!
We're on a long trip. Germany is the 8th of 16 countries we're visiting in 90 days. In room 415, two hours after we went to sleep, my husband started moving and scratching. When he turned on the light, we had bedbugs in the sheets, comforters, and pillows!!!
He went to the front desk at 2 a.m., so they immediately assigned us another room; but it was dirty.
My husband went downstairs again and was given a different one. It was impossible to sleep; my husband was very itchy, and obviously, we didn't even want to sit on the bed. It was horrible!!

This hotel is nit worth it at all. We spend 3 days weekend for almost $700 the false advertised a suit with one king bed or 2 XL twin bed. The room was small that my fried had to stand up against the wall so i can walk pass her. So tiny, restroom was okay but got some mold. They limited everything in the room. The hotel is okay but not worth it $700 for 3 days. I would recommend this place

I was last week in Berlin. And I booked Ocak Hotel From Internet.Its realy very Bad experience...I checked in hotel and the room was ok,but the bed with fully Hairs on the bed..and the staff is unfreundlich..so next Time I neuer book the this ocak hotel...
