I recently stayed at the Sheraton Grand Hotel Esplanade in Berlin. While the hotel's location was good and the overall experience was decent, there were a few issues that detracted from my stay.
Firstly, I noticed a bug on the second bed in my double room. While I wasn't able to confirm whether it was a bed bug, it was concerning and made me feel uneasy about the cleanliness of the room.
Secondly, on the second day of my stay, I found a used chewing gum stuck to one of the sugar/creamer packets that had been refreshed by the hotel staff. This was quite disgusting and unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this caliber.
Thirdly, the front desk staff failed to inform me about the breakfast that was included in my reservation. I only found out about it by chance, which was disappointing as I might have missed out on this benefit otherwise.
Finally, the hotel staff did not refill the moisturizer in my room after the second day of my 5-day stay. While this may seem like a minor issue, it was indicative of a lack of attention to detail and guest needs.
Despite these issues, the hotel's location was convenient and the overall experience was decent. However, the aforementioned issues, particularly the bug and the used chewing gum, were quite concerning and detracted from my stay. I hope the hotel management will address these issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests.
