While the location of this hotel is super convenient (right across the street from the central train station), it should be mentioned that it’s in a really sketchy part of town. I witnessed multiple drug deals happening right in front of the hotel during my stay - it seems to be a hotspot for that kind of activity. It was the most unsafe i have felt in all of Germany.
Also, my room was so small that I could barely fit my large suitcase next to the bed. I was grateful that the air conditioning worked, but other than that my room was quite uncomfortable. It was acceptable (barely) for the 2 nights that I was there, but I would not have been able to do a longer stay.
Also, the man who checked me in was quite rude and cold - no feelings of warmth, welcoming, or hospitality. For a hotel this should be a non-negotiable bare-minimum for all employees.
I would not stay here again.

We had a very bad experience in this hotel especially with this one tunisian employee called Shatha who had a headscarf on, a very unprofessional woman. the incidence started in the morning when we wanted to call in a guest of ours (a brother of ours) he took permission from the reception and they recognized him he went inside with us without any problems at that time another employee was at the shift in that morning. Later in the evening when my brother was leaving she started yelling and calling him in a very unprofessional manner, I won't bother describing the filthy words that came out of her mouth but in the end she showed how racist and discriminating she is, she also took our deposit with no reasonable reason and without providing any document for stealing our deposit. us for calling in a guest while previously the reception told us that they are more than welcome to come! it did not stop at there she threatened to kick us out! all the other staff were very understanding and caring the food and the service was good but this specific woman made the experience the worse in my whole life! I won't recommend visiting this hotel until this sick woman has been dealt with.

You get exactly what you paid! Nice clean, centrally located hotel cheaper than famous chains around with the same surroundings. Don't pay for another expensive hotel, you will get the same area with hookers, drug dealers

The staff at the Manhattan Hotel is very friendly and professional what makes a trip/travel a lot more pleasant. Location wise it is close to anywhere as well as to the main train station. I would recommend to any of my friend to stay here. PS - the coffee at the lobby is from a barista, made out of coffee beans and not an espresso machine. Coffee lovers would understand. Thank you so much Samir and Celal for welcoming us gratefully and making us feel comfortable.

Very good location - opposite to train station. Rooms are small but efficient for short stay. Very good breakfast with variety of things (cereals, fruits, sweets, variety of hams&cheese, veggies, hot: sausages,boiled eggs, scrambled, few kinds of fresh buns + very good American coffee).

Do your research on the local area first. NOT THE HOTELS FAULT. But yes take a look at the local area.
The hotel itself. Not to bad for the price. My toilet had a few stains...pretty nasty... bed was comfortable... staff need to smile more to be honest, pretty miserable.

Perfect hotel located right next to central station and the inside rooms are quite silent. I really enjoyed my stay . The single rooms are well designed considering business and private travellers in mind.

We couldn't sleep at all, the windows are so bad and won't Isolate the outside noise, it feels like the windows are open even though they are closed.
Another thing in the toilet, one of the towels were a bit dirty,
Other than that the room is good and comfy with an AC, but sleeping is top priority and they should fix their windows.

The rooms are very clean and the staff is nice.
The optimal location is the most reaches keep the foot in half an hour or within a few minutes with the s-Bahn right in front of the door.
The Breakfast is top.
