Manhattan Hotel

Quite a lot of drug deals and unpleasantries on the doorstep. An uneasy feeling when walking into, especially after dark. Check in was quite weird, however quick. Rooms were basic, beds were decent. Unfortunately windows seemed to be thin so all of the outside noise from the stations area like trams, sirens, and the aforementioned unpleasantries came through all night long. A bit of light dusting also wouldn’t go amiss. Won’t be returning. Wouldn’t recommend.

Not a place to stay and not for the price. Dirty room, especially floor. In the room was no towels, we needed to ask. While relaxing someone started to get through our room with the keys, it was scary. Do not recommend.

EXTREMELY UNSAFE location. There is heavy drug usage and violence less than 3 paces outside the entrance to the hotel. When we left, we were harassed and followed for blocks. When we returned, the hotel staff LOCKED US OUT due to the rapidly increasing hostility and violence in the large gathering immediately outside the hotel. This left us stuck in the middle of the building chaos. I have never felt so unsafe. We immediately left the hotel and went elsewhere. When I contacted the hotel for a refund they told me "We are unable to refund the costs for your stay. Due to this current situation and the associated challenges, we cannot accommodate every refund request, as this would significantly impact our financial standing." The Manhattan Hotel knows their guests are unsafe and would rather prioritize financial gain over the safety. Absolutely shameful. If you value your safety and the safety of your children and loved ones I beg you to stay ANYWHERE else.

We had a very bad experience in this hotel especially with this one tunisian employee called Shatha who had a headscarf on, a very unprofessional woman. the incidence started in the morning when we wanted to call in a guest of ours (a brother of ours) he took permission from the reception and they recognized him he went inside with us without any problems at that time another employee was at the shift in that morning. Later in the evening when my brother was leaving she started yelling and calling him in a very unprofessional manner, I won't bother describing the filthy words that came out of her mouth but in the end she showed how racist and discriminating she is, she also took our deposit with no reasonable reason and without providing any document for stealing our deposit. us for calling in a guest while previously the reception told us that they are more than welcome to come! it did not stop at there she threatened to kick us out! all the other staff were very understanding and caring the food and the service was good but this specific woman made the experience the worse in my whole life! I won't recommend visiting this hotel until this sick woman has been dealt with.
