Holiday Inn Frankfurt - Alte Oper, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is in a central location, right by the train station, but the people who work here really make this a great place to stay.
My wife & I stayed at the Holliday Inn Frankfurt - alte oper 18 to 20 June, 2026 & had also booked another room for her parents.
When I went to check us all in, I saw that my IHG account had been hacked, and most of my points were missing.
Serdar at the front desk helped us with check-in and coordinated with David Janz, the hotel manager, to allow me to call IHG from my room to get my hacked account fixed.
David even emailed IHG corporate to try to help get my account fixed.
Once I finally got my account fixed, I went back down to give the front desk my new IHG information and had the pleasure of being assisted by Jas, the front desk manager.
She updated my account and gave us drink vouchers for the issue, which had nothing to do with the hotel itself.
Serdar, David & Jas went above & beyond to make a stressful situation the best it could have been & Im very grateful.
We decided to stay another night at this hotel and also met Mona & Dean, who worked the front desk in the mornings & helped check us out. They are also great people & made our departure smooth.
A big thank you to everyone at this hotel for all of your help!
We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Frankfurt.

very close to the office, easy to reach out. room cleaniness is great, the housekeep team even helped me to organize my makeup products in the toilet without any confusion, which i appreciate a lot.

This hotel is located next to the Beach club and not far away from Frankfurt main train station.

We checked in here for 3 days and 2 nights. The staff were really friendly and nice. We got our room as booked, and it was perfect. Nothing was wrOng with it except the bed sheets which made noises a lot 😅 whenever we used to move in bed they made lots of noise! Otherwise we had no other issue. The view was good, windOw were sound proof. It was close to center. There are two elevators, so the waiting time is less than usual. We parked our car in the parking which costed us 30 euros per day which is great. The breakfast buffet is good as well, there were warm foods, cold foods and sweet things. You can find almost everything you desire to eat from cold to warm, fruites and juice. The safety is guaranteed, and you dispose a safe in your room too. Considering all the details I mentioned, there is no reason for me to give less than 5 stars. Thank you Holiday Inn team. 🤗

the girl at the reception was very kind and very helpful. it should have been stated somewhere that we have to give a guarantee of 100€ for 3 people, you mean it was not a problem but it should have been stated somewhere in the booking so that we know about it. the amount of 100€ should be paid ONLY with a Visa card, of course it was not a problem. but in case we did not have a visa? we should have also been informed about this earlier. Also, there is no socket for a personal hairdryer in the bathroom. Otherwise everything was fine .

I found this hotel very convenient. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. At check-in, we also received a small complimentary gift. The staff were very polite and helpful. It’s located close to the train station, but far enough from the area of Frankfurt that’s known for being less safe. You can also easily reach many transportation options from there.

What an excellent experience courtesy of the friendly and helpful concierge at the reception in particular Serdar. I came in with very little expectation because I had to walk from the Frankfurt (Main) hbf train station to the hotel and unwittingly passed by the red light district. I was delightfully served by Serdar whom I connected very quickly within the first 2 minutes. He checked me in promptly, gave me the room I requested, provided excellent restaurant recommendations and even surprised me with welcome drinks for me and my friend. I was in Frankfurt to meet a friend I’ve known since I was 13 years old and it quickly became more personal because of the exceptionally warm service from Serdar. And on the checkout, his friendly colleague Mona assisted me with a big smile and a little token of appreciation for being an IHG member. She also helped me do a late check out of 2 pm and re-activating my card after 12 nn. What an excellent customer experience you have at this hotel! Extremely well done!

It is located nearby the central station and the famous places. Breakfast was great.
