I Stayed in this hotel back in early March and while there, I didn't realize what a gem this place was.
Recent travel to Hamburg, Munich (3 different hotels), and Berlin has shown me this is an excellent facility.
I had an initial problem with my room and within 15 minutes staff arrived with a new room assignment and to assist in moving. From there, the entire stay was just about perfect. Lounge and Bar - Excellent. Restaurant & Breakfast, excellent. Lobby, entry, Lifts, etc... Excellent.
Some say hindsight is 20/20 but in this case perspective says it all.
An excellent facility, a well trained and high performance staff, and excellent service. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for!

I highly recommend the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof for its exceptional service, outstanding amenities, and prime location in the city. The staff, particularly Mrs. Wenda and Mrs. Orlow, deliver exemplary customer experiences that significantly elevated the quality of my stay. The rooms are of superior quality, providing comfort and luxury. The gym, although smaller, is impressively equipped with top-notch facilities, making it one of the best I've encountered. This hotel is a superb choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking a premium experience in Frankfurt.

As per some other reviews - this is an historic building that has many internal makeovers and is quite modern and comfortable especially with respect to room facilities. (Check out the buildings original photo from the 1800's in the library). Our room was excellent and the facilities are excellent and very much old time. A wonderful bar, smoking room!, library, restaurant, outdoor seating/dining, great breakfast, wonderful friendly staff, especially Holger, Head Concierge. It is worth staying here.

Great location near the centre of Frankfurt as well as business districts. While the Hotel itself feels slightly dated the service is impeccable, the staff are friendly and the facilities are clean.
I was initially put in a room near the elevator and couldn't sleep due to the noise, but reception managed to shift me to a room further from the elevator despite hotel being quite booked up.

Booked with AMEX FHR. Did not disappoint! What I can’t even believe is that this hotel was built in 1876 but it is packed with high tech. I would love to see a documentary on how and how many times this hotel has been renovated. The shower was the best shower I have ever seen in my life.
The staff were the definition of professional.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic.
I ate dinner at Oscar’s and my waiter was super helpful and suggested the perfect wine and meal.

Great service and location. Rooms were luxurious and clean, but very warm (even during Feb) with poor ventilation. Belated birthday cake was a nice touch.

Great hotel with spacious rooms, awesome servide and really well located. We had a good experience in our short stay, very helpful staff.
The rooms were renovated. Only complaint is with the super modern showers that didn’t work very well with the touch buttons.

Excellent hotel that makes you feel like home! Thanks to the great staff that are doing a great job!
One thing that need improvement is to make sure to bring heater to the door bell that welcome everyone and standing outside in the freezing temperatures..

Steinberger Hof is a beautiful, grand old building. They have put their money into the common areas more than the rooms. While the room and bathroom (including tub!) were large and the bed comfy, it was badly in need of updating. The decor and furniture were dated, and the carpet was, honestly, gross. I sneezed constantly. Also, the lack of seal on the shower meant that whatever we did, the floor flooded when we showered. Great, great breakfast, though overpriced given what you’re paying for the rooms, which is definitely a luxury price, even for Europe. Worth noting the coffee is really bad. Sorry, but at a five-star hotel, I expect a barista and not a machine. :) Staff lovely generally though many seem inexperienced/new. Fabulous location.
