Savoy Hotel

This hotel should be considered as a 3-star hotel not the usual 4-star hotel. The room is dirty and old dated. Bathroom is not clean. Only the location is great because it is near the train station

Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend

I had a very disappointing stay, mainly due to the hotel’s surrounding neighborhood. As a woman traveling alone, I felt unsafe—there were people openly using drugs and injecting themselves right near the hotel entrance, which was extremely unsettling. I had to book something quickly due to a flight cancellation, and unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be a poor choice.

What surprised me most is that the hotel has a rating of 8 on Booking.com. I honestly don’t know how it earned that score. After my experience, I checked the reviews on Google, and they painted a much more accurate and concerning picture.

The hotel itself felt far from a 4-star standard. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor, the carpets were stained, the towels smelled bad, and the room was incredibly hot. It felt like a sauna, and to make matters worse, the air conditioning was broken. One of the lamps was also not working.

Breakfast was well below average—not at all what you'd expect for the price or the star rating.

The only redeeming factor was the staff, who were somewhat friendly. But unfortunately, that alone couldn’t make up for the overall poor experience.

Me and my boyfriend left our luggage at the hotel's storage for a few hours after check out. It was clear someone went through our bags. My boyfriend found his wallet in the wrong pocket. My bag was clearly opened. Nothing was stolen only because there was no high value in the bags. Strongly not recommend unfortunately.

Update:
After we left the gentleman from the reception called to threat us. He said he would call police on us because of our false aligations.
