INNSiDE by Melia Frankfurt Ostend

This is one of my favorite hotel because it offers a good value for the money. It’s clean, the service is great and rooms are new. They are small but if you are just looking for a place to sleep is more than enough

INNSiDE Frankfurt Ostend is a hotel that wears its modernity like a well-tailored suit—sleek, confident, and a touch impersonal. Tucked into the ever-evolving Ostend district, it occupies a sweet spot between the city’s businesslike pragmatism and its more playful, creative side. A short walk from the European Central Bank, the location whispers convenience without the pomp of a central tourist hub.

But what truly sets this hotel apart is its reception—a rarity in the world of chain hospitality. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a towering gentleman whose warmth and competence were as outsized as his frame. Every issue, every request, was met with a smile and a swift solution. In a world of transactional service, this felt like a masterclass in genuine hospitality.

The rooms, however, tell a slightly more complicated story. Minimalist in design, they strive for functionality over flair, though the open-concept bathroom feels more like a design experiment gone awry. The glass panels might please the architectural purist, but they offer all the privacy of a whispered secret in a crowded room. Yet the complimentary sodas in the minibar—a small, almost inconsequential gesture—manage to leave an outsized impression, a quiet acknowledgment that someone, somewhere, thought about your comfort.

Breakfast at INNSiDE feels like a promise unfulfilled. The setting is all polish and professionalism, but the selection doesn’t quite measure up. There’s nothing wrong with what’s offered—it’s perfectly adequate—but for a hotel that positions itself as cutting-edge, you can’t help but hope for a little more adventure on your plate.

Ultimately, INNSiDE Frankfurt Ostend is a hotel of contrasts. It excels in the details that matter most—a stellar reception team, thoughtful amenities—while stumbling on some of the finer points. But for travelers who appreciate modern design and a warm welcome, it offers a solid, if slightly uneven, home base in the heart of Frankfurt’s new east.

Hotel is perfect located and also the room was clean. Bed was good. Things they could make it a 5 star rating is to fix one of the car chargers that didn't work, fix the pancake machine in the restaurant and the card reader in the parking garage to enter the hotel. Low hanging fruit to make it 5 stars in my opinion.

I had a great stay in this hotel. Location is quite convenient. There is a tram stop right in front of the entrance that takes you directly to the main train station. Check-in was quick. Room was comfortable and clean. I liked the decor of the interior and free mini bar. Value for price ratio is amazing.

What an amazing hotel, and amazing Frankfurt. The location was perfect, and the room was perfect. I love the Melia Group of Hotels. I've never had an issue. When i was to miss breakfast because of a trip, they made me an awesome packed breakfast! Just great. Can't wait to go back!

Nice and clean hotel. Hotel Wifi is weak (about 7MB) which is definitely not good. Enough for emails I guess. Room entertainment system not what you would expect. Only (or mostly) German TV channels which is not good for international guests. No access to TV input, therefore no way to cast screen if you'd prefer streaming form your laptop. Really a pity. Overall however a good hotel for a fair price.

Generally the hotel is solid 4/5☆ but I expected it will be more professional. (In terms of internal design solutions and some small things, for example - bottle opener is integrated into fridge with drinks, which is not really comfortable to use, and reminds me of what soviets would do.)

Rooms are a bit weird structured but they are fine if you don't spend much time inside

Service is OK for that price, a bit dissapointing that the laundry is not included with room, on the other hand they constantly refill my fridge with different drinks including beer in case of extra size rooms. Also there is a lot of options to control light and temperature in rooms, is what I appreciate.

Staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast is decent, but nothing special too

Location is good, if you need to get to Grossmarkthalle in 7 minutes by just walking.

Currently one of the elevators doesn't seem to work, which is unpleasant, especially in day time, but I guess it would be fixed.

Good location with easy commute (train from FRA airport directly to frankfurt east station) and 11 tram is right there in front of the hotel (runs every 10min)

Good restaurants nearby to grab a quick bite. Close to multiple SIM card stores, grocery stores and cafes.

Super friendly staff and mini bar with free drinks inside for you! Will definitely revisit again and recommend to friends.

Note it is about 10min tram ride from the HBF so it is not within walking range of any major attractions.
