Unfortunately no air-con in the rooms.
So during my stay, where it has been very hot outside, it also was much too warm inside (in the room)!
The windows only have curtains - but since the street is a rather busy street, it would improve and reduce the noise level, when the hotel rooms pointing towards the "Rothenbaum Chaussee", when these would be equipped with either oustide window blinds, or window shutters.

I did not like the steps up to the landing where the lift was, which are difficult for my wife, who uses a Rollator, to negotiate.
I was pleased about the breakfast and in particular being told that the cappuccino and espresso coffee that my wife and I are so used to at home are also on offer.

Worst hotel I have ever experienced in Germany. The reception opens only until 3pm - which was not communicated in advance - so when I arrived late at night after a long flight, there was simply no one to help my check in. The room key was automatically provided from a machine in front of the building, but it didn't work at first. I could barely enter my room thanks to other passing by guest. It should be the hotel staff - not another guest - who should help in case of a problem. I am not sure whether I can call this a hotel.

The hotel's reception is only open in the morning - arriving in the afternoon means that you have to fiddle with a talking key safe, and if you want to check out early or the night before: tough luck. Everything seems old and worn down, my "small double room" would have been impossible to sleep in with a second person. The breakfast room is sad; I chose to not even eat there. The window did not work properly, the bathroom is small and seems greasy even if it is probably clean. No idea how the price I paid was even remotely justified; half would have been about right. Never again.

Excellent location, very clean hotel, nice staff, comfortable bed, soft pillows, big room, a shower, what else do we need just for one night? Keep remembering to stay there again when we visit the Hamburg

It was fine. The customer service was not friendly or inviting as other posts had said. Also, I sat down to breakfast thinking it was included (I had forgotten whether I booked breakfast or not). I told my server my room number and they acted as though it was included, but then I was handed a bill at the end. I had not booked breakfast and this is my fault ultimately, but the server really should have said something when I gave my room number, not after we ate. Otherwise, it was fine.

Is conveniently located near the Jungfernstieg and is not far away from the party scene of St. Pauli neighborhood.
Our room was always clean, the only drawback is that the rooms are too small .
The staff is not friendly, 24-hour front Desk are there for each and every guest has a key card that allows you to at any time in the Hotel.

The location of the hotel is simply super. I was with my son at the tennis tournament at the Rothenbaum and we only needed 2 minutes to get to the plant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and the ground floor is a small charming Bar on the ground floor. The only Downer is the size of the room, but this has not disturbed the overall really was, since we were anyway hardly in the Hotel.

The Hotel is very Central and is also relatively cheap! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Breakfast is sufficient and with 10€ it's not that expensive. If you decide, nevertheless, otherwise, there are several bakeries in the immediate vicinity. The only drawback is the slightly unpleasant-smelling carpet was laid in the room.
