Hyatt Regency Koln

We stayed 4 nights at the Cologne Regency and loved our stay. Stayed as globalists and were given a room with a great view of the Dom. Their club level is open and we enjoyed the afternoon treats and hors d'ouerves in the evening. They did have breakfast in the club, but we did eat in the main restaurant, which had a great spread of anything you could want for breakfast. We utilized the pool/ hot tub (relaxing but not very hot). My spouse utilized the sauna and enjoyed it. The gym was well equipped and plenty of space, unlike many hotel gyms. The staff in the Regency club was very kind and helpful. The main desk was responsive to any issues that arose. Only suggestion would be to be clear on the parking and give a ticket for getting out of the garage after checkout. A few times we had to press the button to get in or out and it took a long time to get a response. Some areas of this Regency might need refreshed, but you can't beat the location or view. No other hotels in town have this exclusive of a spot. It was beautiful!!

The hotel, location and service is very good and we enjoyed the stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking is convenient. The only inconvenience was surprisingly the inadequate housekeeping with the coffee tray left empty, all used cups and glasses taken but not replaced, toiletries refreshed with multiple conditioners but no shampoo, no amenities like slippers or robes for the child...

We stayed at the top club floor. Highly recommend. You pay extra for the room and then you have an access for very solid refreshment area where you can have a coffee, snack or lighter food unlimited. Rooms are nice, spacious, bathroom with both shower and bath. Huge TV with option for connecting with your device easily. Pool and gym okish (the poorest part of this facility). Food awesome! Hotel restaurant is rather more expensive however with corresponding quality. Nice breakfast (could be better but nice ingredients) and great dinner! You can choose less expensive option from two restaurants outside. Great place for business meetings. Awesome view from restaurant area. Tea at the room not tasty, coffee machine not present. There could be available larger amount of shower gel for arrival day. Not perfect but very satisfying overall!

Beautiful property that serves amazing views! Tip: always take the Rhine facing room. The extra cost pays for itself since the cathedral view is amazing. The breakfast is quite extensive and the service is prompt. The indoor pool and jacuzzi is amazing. Perfect when you are travelling with the kids. The hotel is just by the river, so you can roam around the riverside easily. We have already stayed in this property twice and we intend to go there again!

This time I stayed at the Hyatt, and I was very satisfied with the service from yesterday to today. My room was also upgraded. The only regret is that the view does not include the bridge.

However, I need to file a complaint. While having breakfast at the VIP lounge on the 6th floor, the waiter seemed very impatient. When we couldn't find the food and asked her, she angrily said, "Otherwise, you can go down to eat."

We cannot accept this tone. What does she mean by "otherwise, you can go down to eat"? Although she eventually brought the food to our table, we felt very uncomfortable.

In the past, the service at any Hyatt has always been impeccable, but this experience left a bad impression on me.

Additionally, we encountered a fire alarm early this morning. While it is understandable, being woken up only to find out that nothing happened made for a rather unpleasant morning.

Proper 5 star hotel. Spacious rooms. Good service. Breakfast is very good, too. Nice location next to the Rhine river; all river view rooms have a great view on the Cologne Cathedral as well.
