Mercure Hotel Munchen Altstadt

The room was very clean and comfortable. I really like the wood-centric design. The breakfast buffet was a welcome treat, too. The hotel was convenient to all the Old Town locations we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed at Mercure Hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The location is superb, providing easy access to local attractions and dining options, making it a perfect base for exploring the city.

The breakfast served each morning was exceptional. With a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, it was a great way to start the day. Whether you prefer a hearty meal or a light bite, there’s something for everyone.

The room itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in their work, as everything was spotless and comfortable, and the complimentary Mini Bar was spot on it is refilled daily. Overall, Mercure Hotel offers a delightful stay with its prime location, excellent breakfast, and top-notch cleanliness. Highly recommended!

Comfortable rooms and excellent service all within an easy walk to the sites in the heart of old town Munich.

I must specifically note that the front desk staff (Angelica and Sabrina in particular) were very helpful for me since my luggage had been lost in my connection to getting to Munich. They spent the time with me calling various numbers trying to help me get answers, which was well above their duties. I very much appreciate everything they did for me, and their kindness in listening to me.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Clean and very comfortable. They had a great breakfast spread and kept fresh food available. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing too! Staff was very accomodating to our needs throughout our stay. This hotel is easy walking distance to Maienplatz, lots of shops, eateries and public transportation. Would definitely stay here again!

The location was perfect, just minutes away by foot to Marienplatz. The room was extremely clean and the people at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was fantastic, very fresh and well prepared. The added perk of having the complimentary mini-bar that was restocked each day was really a nice perk, along with the water and coffee station that were always available. My only negative was that the air conditioning did not seem to work, but the temps at night were cool enough to just sleep with the window open. It was a bit noisy outside, as the Euros were happening, so I think there were a lively bunch of people out and about. But I did not see this as a big enough negative to not rate this hotel stay a full 10. Very pleased with this hotel!

Stayed here for 4 nights with my adult son in a room with twin beds on the 3rd floor. First off, I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The location is fantastic and is a 3 minute walk to the Marienplatz and close to many attractions. The hotel is clean, the hotel staff pleasant and accommodating, the rooms are quiet with minimal street noise, and the free breakfast is fantastic with a wide variety of food and delicious coffee. The room was a bit small but comfortable for the two of us. The beds were excellent in that they weren't too hard of too soft. The pillows were just OK. The windows had mechanical blinds with room darkening shades so the room can be dark in the daytime if you want. The bathroom was updated, clean, with a nice shower and warm towel rack. The refrigerator was stocked with 2 beers, soda and other non alcoholic drinks which are complimentary. There is a safe in the room. Look at the pictures and what you see is what you get. This is a fantastic hotel and I would not hesitate to stay here.

Rooms are very spacious and well appointed with virtually every amenity. Towle dryers, sages, Large TVs, coffee/espresso maker, sitting room, and comfortable bedding.
Excellent location

I stayed here for a few nights in September 2023. The room was clean, the staff was pleasant, and you can’t beat the location. I say this without exaggeration: this hotel had the best breakfast of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at, whether in big cities in the US, the UK, or places I’ve been in continental Europe — it was that good.

We stayed the last weekend in March for two nights. We walked into the hotel without a reservation after a 10 hour flight from the US. The staff was very accommodating and they were able to give us an early checkin which we greatly appreciated. This hotel is an absolute gem. It's not fancy.. the room was simple but had everything we needed and was a great value. It was really nice to have a mini fridge in the room with beverages that were complimentary. The breakfast was extraordinary! I was so surprised it was complimentary. There was so much to choose from, everything was delicious and the staff was wonderful. The location couldn't be more perfect... walking distance to restaurants, shops and everything we wanted to see. We'd definately stay here again and recommend!

Centrally located hotel, very close to Marienplatz. My room was renovated, modern and very comfortable. You can grab water, tea and coffee all day long downstairs and in your room you have a kettle and a fridge with water&some beverages. Breakfast was excellent, very nice to see that they had some local dishes (🥨), very good choice of savoury and sweet, fresh orange juice and good coffee. Opposite to the hotel there is an Asian restaurant as an option for dinner but the surrounding is full of good bars &restaurants.
