Review:
I stayed at Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh and became seriously ill after the hotel hosted an Egyptian cuisine night last Tuesday. Shortly after dinner, I experienced vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and intense smell sensitivity.
I contacted the hotel doctor the same night. He said he would give me medicine but didn’t provide anything. Hours later, when I followed up, he said it wasn’t ready, then claimed it might cause vomiting and offered an injection instead. It felt like there was no real intention to help me.
On Wednesday, I stayed in my room all day without eating, still very sick. No one from the hotel checked on me or offered meaningful support. I checked out Thursday morning while still feeling weak and unwell.
This experience seriously affected my trip. I strongly urge the hotel to take food hygiene and guest medical care more seriously. I hope this review helps others be cautious, especially during themed dinner nights.
Housekeeping enters without permission and moves your belongings, placing them however they like. Service? I'm not sure it exists here at all. The whole atmosphere is dull and lifeless.
As for the food — it’s just a parade of colorful pastries that all taste exactly the same. 🥲
There is no way I would ever come here if I were paying out of my own pocket. It’s extremely disappointing that my job forces me to endure this.
Apparently, this level of service and leisure is either appealing to Russian tourists or simply fits their budget — otherwise, I cannot understand how this place has been rated five stars.
