Great hotel, excellent location for old town or new town. Right next to tapps alley and a beautiful 15 min walk to the ***** along the beach. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. You can secure a safe for a refundable deposit as you can with pool towels. Room was lovely and clean. Would definitely come again

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Control Mar Benidorm

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Control Mar Benidorm, and I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, especially Miguel Angel, who made my stay incredibly enjoyable. His kindness and helpfulness were truly exceptional, and he made our stay feel like home. The rest of the staff were equally attentive, always ready to assist with any inquiries about the city or offer recommendations.

The food at the hotel was also a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Every meal was a treat, and it was clear that the hotel takes great pride in its culinary offerings.

In terms of location, the hotel couldn't be better situated. It’s just a short walk to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful coastline. The convenience of the location added to the overall appeal of my stay.

Overall, my experience at Hotel Control Mar Benidorm was fantastic, and I would love to return in the future. If you're looking for a place with great service, delicious food, and a perfect location, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Stayed here for four nights. Basic room but modern bathroom with a great power shower. Booked with On The Beach and they only offer a room with a window. I emailed the hotel and requested a balcony which was €12 a night extra. Well worth it even though it was very narrow. Cleaned every day. Small fridge to store drinks. Only one plug to charge everything. English channels on a large television. The rooftop pool is fabulous with stunning views. Only a limited amount of sunbeds and four or five tables to sit at. We went room only but there was a small restaurant which a lot of Spanish seemed to use. My only negative was the walls between rooms, they were paper thin! We could hear everything, even down to someone’s phone receiving a text. I would recommend taking ear plugs to sleep at night. A big positive for me was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. The little off licence a couple of doors up was cheap and handy and you’re literally two minutes from Tapas Alley and the viewing plateau.

Fantastic location Rooms are basic but have everything you need Next to a chapel / church Bells goes off start at 9 am On the hour/half hour/15 mins So be aware don’t need to set your alarm 😂 Rooftop pool is nice Says you can’t book a sunbed but staff don’t seem to enforce Lovely view from roof top All staff are nice Breakfast not so good Typical Spanish bacon/ sausages The fresh orange is terrible so sugary But some nice fruit/ cereal to choose from All in all not the worst place I’ve been

Lovely little hotel .. stayed in June with my husband and elderly father .. lovely comfortable beds very clean .. cleaners so friendly .. the pool lovely on the roof but bar staff hard to get at times have to ring to get them up .. can wait awhile if they on lunch .. breakfast just ok only had it one morning as plenty other places nearby .. love the old town Benidorm but this visit lots of gangs English youth loud and intimidating walking about old town ..

What a Brilliant hotel right in the heart of Benidorms old town. The roof top pool was great and has a bar. Some reviews talk about slow service and strict rules. But I personally found the staff very attentive and had a great time.

My Room, 604, was just brilliant. Had a balcony overlooking the sea and was a really good size. Large double bed and big wardrobe.

The biggest asset of this hotel apart from location was it's amazing friendly staff. They where so helpful throughout and always said hello when walking past reception. So attentive. Would 100% stay here again. 11/10 for me 😁

Luis and the other staff at the front desk reception were incredibly kind and helpful. The roof deck, pool, and views are stunning. It’s right in the center of the Casco Antiguo (bustling old town) yet remains quiet. I heard no street noise, only some arguing neighbors ;) The rooms are simple and a bit dated and the cost of breakfast is high. I look forward to my next stay.

Just back from my second stay here. Hotel is situated within very easy walking distance of the beach and right in the middle of the Old Town area. A slight incline walking the last 50m up to it but very doable. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Rooms not luxurious but perfectly adequate. Nice roomy shower and updated bathrooms. Safe available in room with a returnable deposit for the key. No kettle or tea-making facilities in room (which would be nice), but there is a small fridge. Aircon in room worked great. Meal times are perfect, extending to 3pm for lunch and 10pm for dinner. Breakfast buffet is ample and very varied, including cooked English style, but also cold cuts, cereals, fruit, breads, cakes, cookies and pastries. The aircon seemed not to be turned on during breakfast, which (for me) was uncomfortable as the restaurant area was too warm. Lunch and dinner also offer lots of choice of meat and fish dishes, vegetables and salads, with fruit, cakes, and ice cream. Drinks paid separately, reasonably priced. The rooftop pool area is lovely, great views for photos too, although I prefer the beach. Due to narrow streets in the Old Town, airport transfer coaches cannot reach this hotel, so be aware that you will be dropped off from your coach about ten minute's walk away. I had to take taxis to and from the pick-up area both trips. Summary: pleasant hotel, lovely staff, good food, excellent location.
