Magic Cristal Park in Benidorm

The hotel décor is tired , the bar staff are friendly especially Anita, who is a diamond. Our room had no lock on the patio doors and an extractor taped to the opposite side. The lifts are slow and limited to 6 people so are often full. We were on the 7th floor so nice and close to the roof bar and pool. Over all the best I can say is it is tired

This is a very outdated hotel everything needs updating, its in a great location, in the old town five minutes to the beach and bars and shops . Unfortunately, this is not enough for a lot of people. The queue's at reception is always long as is the que for drinks at the bar made more difficult by the fact the coffee and tea facilities are also at bar this takes ages! why they don't have self-service facilities or a coffee lounge is beyond me! Nice point crisps and peanuts available to help yourself. The lifts are a complete nightmare, I waited 20 minutes for a lift one evening! The rooms are hit and miss you can have a wonderful room with a fabulous balcony or terrace or just a room with no outside access and terrible views! I have to say the housekeeping was very clean room and towels every day. The food good varied, and you could always find something to eat . unfortunately ,it was difficult to get glasses for drinks and bowls , The bar area always had dirty tables with left glasses and drinks ,I found myself getting a cloth and cleaning my own table! There was some trouble in room next to ours with screaming and fighting in the middle of the night, we called reception and security arrived very quickly. We had to maintenence out to two of the four rooms we had due to problems with shower, toilet and air-conditioning conditioning . They arrived promptly. Unfortunately the two days before we came home the water was turned off for most of the day. The a pipe burst and flooded the reception area. Bar area and some of the resteraunt. Obviously, a serious problem probably due to the age of the hotel. The roof terrace and swimming pool had plenty of sunbeds and the bar which you have to pay 1 euro for plastic glass which is returned when glasses handed in! All in all I enjoyed my holiday , this is the second time time our group has stayed at Magic Cristal Park Hotel. Next year we will find another hotel .
