Location: in Benidorm and 55 km from the airport of Alicante.
Consists of one 14-storey building (Sol Pelicanos) and one 11-storey building (Sol Ocas).
The hotel has 784 rooms.
Beach: public, sandy Levante beach, 300 m from the hotel (3 coastline). Umbrellas, deck chairs at the beach fee, beach towels are not. Between the hotel and the beach is a road and promenade.
On the hotel territory: 2 restaurants, 4 bars, 3 outdoor pools (1 in the view of the lake with water jets and geysers, 1 adults only, 1 for sports programs), physician services, elevators, Internet corner (chargeable)

Just came back from this hotel, and after reading some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant on the holiday. But it's really good for a 3 star. Rooms are basic but clean. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. Staff are very helpful. Food wasn't as bad as some of the reviews depending on what you like. The fresh fruit available was nice. The chef did his best to keep the food fresh, and if asked, he would accommodate where he could. The location is good as well. But you must go to the new burrito shop on Av.Del Mediterraneo the guy's in there are brilliant, friendly, and chatty and make you feel like a friend. The burritos are definitely tasty and made fresh.

The staff and security are extremely rude and also refused a friend of ours entry into the hotel for no good reason. Our 1st room got flooded so we were abruptly given another room only to find this room was also dripping with water! Kept us waiting another 45 minutes for yet another room! We did receive a written apology along with 2 complimentary bottles of water (twice even though was 3 of us). Appalling staff and security so this hotel we won't be visiting again. We paid for our stay like anyone else, there's no reason to treat people with the contempt we experienced!

On lead up to my holiday, was not looking forward to it as reading terrible reviews. In my opinion, the room was spotless, I found all the staff very friendly and friendly, there was always something to choose at mealtimes, although sometimes not red hot, was nice. The only fault I had were the lifts, very slow and sometimes I felt like Zebedee going up and down to different floors before reaching my floor on 11. All in all would definitely go back

The hotel is two minutes from the main strip where all the lively bars are. Two lively busy bars virtually next door and several eating places plus an indoor market next door. Surprisingly you couldn't here any outside noise in your room. We had a family room even though there was only 2 of us but we upgraded to one with a balcony. Both rooms were good. My wife accidentally left her air pods in the room but only realized a couple of days later. The staff were really helpful and despite our fears they managed to locate them after a few days. Always seemed plenty of room round the pool and plenty of sunbeds. We was half board. The evening meals were good with plenty of choice however the breakfast wasn't great maybe because we was always up close to closing which is why we had breakfast out most of the time. Overall a good place and would go back 👍

My review is mostly for the animation staff who did great for my 3 years son, especially Paula who went above and beyond to keep him entertained, allowing mum and dad some precious relaxing time by the pool. She really created a strong bond with our son. He will definitely miss her. Loved the food with plenty of choices to make happy all kind of dietary. The front of house lady at lunch was very kind by punctually pointing out the desserts suitable for my late pregnancy. Pool area is very nice, lot of space where you can relax. Only found the water too cold for this time of the year, so I avoided it. It would be good if sunbeds and other equipments could be modernised a little: everything look quite aged, including rooms very basic and ordinary. First impression of the place was not good because of the queue at the reception. The check in process felt like taking forever, making the experience a little stressful. This should definitely be reviewed by management.

STAFF were unfortunately not very attentive and I did not find them overly friendly, apart from maybe a couple of members of staff who made more of an effort. Check in and any reception queries are a complete nightmare, despite there sometimes being 3-4 members of staff at reception the queue just doesn't seem to move, at least a 45 minute wait before the queue even starts moving. I also spent most of my holiday waiting around for a lift, if you are on one of the higher floors then you will need to take a lift, they are the slowest ever. The hotel itself was kept clean throughout, but could all do with being refurbished. ROOMS are a good size and the bed was comfy, there are no tea and coffee making facilities so I brought my own, towels and toiletries were provided, and the view from the balcony is what it is due to everything being so built up. FOOD was actually quite nice but there was not a big selection at dinner time, so if you are a fussy eater or can only eat certain foods this could be a problem. Breakfast had everything you needed but a nicer sausage would have been nice. POOLS are nice, there are pool bars and food courts so no need to go inside for lunch if you prefer to stay by the pool. Unfortunately I am unable to comment on lunch or the all-inclusive options, as I only went half board. LOCATION is good, you have everything you need all within walking distance, beach, shops, places to eat and plenty of bars and clubs. There is also a taxi rank right outside the hotel.

cons:
-unloyal manager (room with full board was purchased for 4 people, due to personal circumstances, there were 3 of us, we asked the managers to deduct the cost of food for the person who did not arrive, we were refused). We tried to solve the issue twice, but no one want to help. Personnel cannot speak good English.
- old, shabby building
-room was terrible, old furniture, a lot of noise
-2 lifts for the whole hotel, 1 of which was not working. Due to the limit of 5 people in one lift, there was always a long wait.
- The hotel did not provide towels for the pool, we had to buy them ourselves.
- all sun-beds were occupied from the early morning with the towels, it was hard to find a free place.
- Family room is very small, no balcony, overlooking old buildings, shabby, hair dryer did not work.
-strong audibility in the room
-cocktails in the bar are of poor quality
-food in the restaurant was not good
Pros:
-town beach is a 5 minute walk to the town beach
-beautiful promenade with cafes
We so not recommend to stay in this hotel. If there is a choice to rent an apartments and have a food in cafe, this will be better.

A large beautifully appointed hotel. Staff were smart and very pleasant. The food was very Spanish which I enjoyed but there was even roast beef and Yorkshire pud presented some days. I would like to go back when it wasn't the school holidays. I like children but not hundreds of them.

Room was modern, clean and turned over daily with fresh towels, however bring your own towel for the pool area as these aren’t provided. Great shower facilities and air con in rooms. The pool area was the best part with multiple options. Hotel entertainment was fun with lots of activities to do throughout the day! The entertainment staff were energetic and made your experience personal by remembering names. Shout out to Javi for getting us involved and being very friendly! Enjoyed our stay. Location is great. 2 minute walk from the strip of bars, 5 minute walk to the beach/sea front. Markets around and any shop necessary within a street or two.

We have stayed here many times and have just come back from a short break having never been in August. The hotel was spotless, reception staff absolutely 1st class. Food was varied and something for everyone. Pool very busy but again spotlessly clean.
