We had such a wonderful experience at Hotel Príncipe Pío. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and understanding. On our first stay (4 nights), they even gave us a room with a beautiful view of the Royal Palace without us asking — such a lovely surprise!
After visiting Barcelona, we chose to come back and stay here again, and it truly felt like returning “home.” The team remembered us and treated us with the same warmth and kindness.
The location is perfect — very close to the city center — and the rooms are a great size, clean, and comfortable.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid. We will definitely return!
Staff were superb and helped us sort out the taxi to the airport that I had booked for the wrong time! Bar was lovely and comfortable and bartender offered superb service.

For this category of hotel - 3* - it was excellent. I would go as far as to say it felt like a 4* hotel.
I would stay here again and I would definitely recommend it to friends.
You can’t go wrong by booking this hotel.
Location is the main positive- it's walking distance to the centre and close to the palace.
Our room had a musty smell during our visit which was slightly off putting. We felt that we couldn't open the window due to traffic noise (though with window closed it was quiet.)
Breakfast was a nice continental selection with good opening times.
