AC Hotel by Marriott Nice

Very good location, 5min walk away from L2 Tram (centre university), and only 1min walk away from the beach. The roof lounge access is brilliant for the night. Room is a bit old but at least it’s clean. The staff are all very friendly and I will definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott AC Nice. The rooms are accommodating and a nice size. The best view and pool on the rooftop with amazing staff. Particularly Carla F who is super friendly and smiles for days, she absolutely made it our best hotel stay during a 2 week trip to several different places and hotels. Many thanks!!

Overall, very good stay at the AC Hotel.
- Location: The hotel is located 2 KM from Old Nice. The area of town that it’s located is neither beautiful nor grungy. 1 minute walk to the beach and 3 minutes to the subway or bus stops (which are then a 5-10 minute ride into the city center). You’re likely not picking this hotel for the location, but the area is safe and you can get to the city center in less than 15 minutes.
- Room: Spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Room included a coffee maker, kettle for tea, and a mini fridge. Most importantly, the air conditioning was outstanding — temperature was fully controllable and could get icy cold (if desired). The only downside to the room was the windows, which were not soundproof. As such, there was some road noise that could be heard in our room at night when trying to sleep. We didn’t hear noise from room neighbors though.
- General Facility maintenance: Clean. But some areas weren’t 4 star worthy. Hallway floorboards hadn’t been replaced in my lifetime. And the lobby lacked the hotel lobby smell. Small details which won’t bother most, but will certainly irritate some.
- Pool: Excellent rooftop pool, but very few lounge chairs. Get there early or hope you’re lucky. They need to remove restaurant tables during the day to add extra pool seating.
- Rooftop restaurant: Great sea views and excellent food. The night we visited had live acoustic music too. Recommend making a reservation, as it’s busy even on week nights over the summer.
- Miscellaneous: No room service, but there’s a lobby market always open and the rooftop restaurant is open for lunch, snacks and dinner. Friendly staff.

Overall, the hotel is comfortable but not luxurious. And a little out of the city center, but we knew that before coming. If you pay €600 on your honeymoon here, you may be slightly disappointed. But it was a good value compared to hotels in central Nice during my visit, so it was excellent for the purpose. Had the windows been double glazed and had a tighter seal to keep out traffic noise, this would have been a 5 star stay.

We loved our time at the AC Hotel in Nice! Superb location and we loved the rooftop pool and views! Everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was helpful, nice and accommodating! Eloise gave us exceptional guidance on where to dine, how to take a boat tour and the best way to see Monaco.🤩 Farhat greeted us every morning with the best smile, jokes and coffee 😊. Nathalie was also incredibly kind and knowledgeable!💕 I loved that there was a liquor store “Drink Market” on the back side of the hotel and Maison Armand across the street with the best pastries! There is also a cheese shop and butcher shop on the street behind the hotel if you wish to picnic. Thank you for your hospitality! We would love to stay with you again on our return visit!💕

I was a bit apprehensive after reading reviews but the staff were so friendly and accommodating! We arrived just before 12 and didn’t expect a room but thought we’d try and it was a 10 minute wait (which we got to wait on the roof with a great view!)
The location is great, it’s about a 35 minute walk to the old town and about 2 minutes to the promenade. There are lots of bakery’s close by as well as many museums.
The room was pretty standard. It was quite humid as the windows don’t open and there was a small mould problem in the bathroom as a result, but not enough to worry. We had a partial sea view and it was great! We had a view of the airport too so we could watch the planes.
If I plan to visit Nice again, I’ll definitely be staying here!

What a great hotel! Maeva was a fantastic front desk host. She gave us a great introduction to Nice and set the tone for an amazing 10 days in the French Riviera!

The hotel is well taken care of and the roof top pool was perfect! Farhat, who seems to be in charge of the lobby and breakfast area, was so sweet and each day gave us tips and an apple to travel with! I loved this hotel.

Affordable, good location, excellent staff. 1 minute walk from the beach, 5 minutes from the boardwalk proper and 15 from the heart of downtown and train station. Still plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, pharmacy and grocery with a few minutes walking. Spent 3 nights in early season so we got a good rate - very nice, clean room w/excellent bedding and bath accoutrements; chill rooftop hangout spot; AC worked fine; did not use the restaurant. I mistakenly left my handbag in the room upon checkout; didn't discover until I was already at the airport. The Manager went to my room, found the bag, and boxed it up while I arranged for next day courier pickup; my bag arrived in Germany with all cash and credit cards intact. Highly recommend.
