AC Hotel by Marriott

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was modern and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The helpful staff was a big thing for me because I found that a lot of restaurant and store staff in the city don't speak much English, so it was really nice to be able to have someone to talk to if I had a question. I also really enjoyed the breakfast variety which included a delicious quiche, croissants and a selection of French pastries. The hotel is in a good location close to a tram stop, the beach, several restaurants and my favorite - a French cafe next door with 50% off pastries after 7 pm. The only downside for me was no microwave in the room, although the rest of the stay was great, so that was really just a small thing.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Breakfast had a lot of choices. Heavy on the pastries but enough other options. The rooftop is amazing in view service and few. The front desk staff was helpful. If I stay again, I’d prefer a higher floor. Not the first floor city view.

Very good location, 5min walk away from L2 Tram (centre university), and only 1min walk away from the beach. The roof lounge access is brilliant for the night. Room is a bit old but at least it’s clean. The staff are all very friendly and I will definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott AC Nice. The rooms are accommodating and a nice size. The best view and pool on the rooftop with amazing staff. Particularly Carla F who is super friendly and smiles for days, she absolutely made it our best hotel stay during a 2 week trip to several different places and hotels. Many thanks!!

Overall, very good stay at the AC Hotel.
- Location: The hotel is located 2 KM from Old Nice. The area of town that it’s located is neither beautiful nor grungy. 1 minute walk to the beach and 3 minutes to the subway or bus stops (which are then a 5-10 minute ride into the city center). You’re likely not picking this hotel for the location, but the area is safe and you can get to the city center in less than 15 minutes.
- Room: Spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Room included a coffee maker, kettle for tea, and a mini fridge. Most importantly, the air conditioning was outstanding — temperature was fully controllable and could get icy cold (if desired). The only downside to the room was the windows, which were not soundproof. As such, there was some road noise that could be heard in our room at night when trying to sleep. We didn’t hear noise from room neighbors though.
- General Facility maintenance: Clean. But some areas weren’t 4 star worthy. Hallway floorboards hadn’t been replaced in my lifetime. And the lobby lacked the hotel lobby smell. Small details which won’t bother most, but will certainly irritate some.
- Pool: Excellent rooftop pool, but very few lounge chairs. Get there early or hope you’re lucky. They need to remove restaurant tables during the day to add extra pool seating.
- Rooftop restaurant: Great sea views and excellent food. The night we visited had live acoustic music too. Recommend making a reservation, as it’s busy even on week nights over the summer.
- Miscellaneous: No room service, but there’s a lobby market always open and the rooftop restaurant is open for lunch, snacks and dinner. Friendly staff.

Overall, the hotel is comfortable but not luxurious. And a little out of the city center, but we knew that before coming. If you pay €600 on your honeymoon here, you may be slightly disappointed. But it was a good value compared to hotels in central Nice during my visit, so it was excellent for the purpose. Had the windows been double glazed and had a tighter seal to keep out traffic noise, this would have been a 5 star stay.

We loved our time at the AC Hotel in Nice! Superb location and we loved the rooftop pool and views! Everyone we came into contact with at the hotel was helpful, nice and accommodating! Eloise gave us exceptional guidance on where to dine, how to take a boat tour and the best way to see Monaco.🤩 Farhat greeted us every morning with the best smile, jokes and coffee 😊. Nathalie was also incredibly kind and knowledgeable!💕 I loved that there was a liquor store “Drink Market” on the back side of the hotel and Maison Armand across the street with the best pastries! There is also a cheese shop and butcher shop on the street behind the hotel if you wish to picnic. Thank you for your hospitality! We would love to stay with you again on our return visit!💕
