Hotel Beau Rivage

What an incredibly disappointing stay. Old, dated rooms, bathrooms and features; the photos on the website are VERY deceiving. The beds were hard, pillows hard, quality of the sheets was cheap scratchy hot polyester, the towels are cheap tiny things. The rooms are not sound proofed and blinds don't span the window space so we slept with tissues in our ears as ear plugs to cut the street noise, and sleep masks to block the morning light. The air con unit was old, loud and smelly - we both got sick and having slept with the aircon on, I am not surprised. No power outlet in the bathroom - insane! The wall mounted hair dryer was straight out of the '50's and I could have blown with more force. Our safe did not work. Bare minimum & rather rude service making guests feel like an inconvenience. The sliver of positivity was that the location was wonderful. This hotel needs to be reclassified as a 3 star hotel AT BEST, and the price needs to drop to reflect this, and all of the above. I do not recommend this hotel.

My expectation from a 4 Star hotel was much more than this. The location of this hotel is very convenient, close to the beach and the old town but the service suckS! There is no conditioner in the shower! They have one attached bottle to the wall with liquid soap in it both for the hair and body. Even when I asked they said they do not have conditioner. The attached blow dryer is more like a vacuum than a hair dryer. Surprisingly there is no coffee machine in the room either! They provide you with Nescafe (instant coffee) which is very bizarre for a hotel in France being known for its coffee. Although the location is fantastic, I recommend that you search more for a better deal for your buck!

My wife and I were looking forward to our 4 night stay here. After just one night at the Beau Rivage we were unhappy with our decision. To keep this review short I have compiled a list of things that made us regret staying here:

- King size bed is just two smaller mattresses pushed together. As a result there is a big crack down the center of the bed.
- Only 1 bottle of water is included with the stay. All additional bottles of water are charged at 6€.
- There is no coffee machine in the room. At this point coffee machines are a commonality in the majority of hotels.
- No power outlet in the washroom for self care and styling appliances.
- The shower suds provided are “All in One”. This is unsatisfactory in a hotel that claims to be 4 star.
- The flush lever on our toilet was broken.

We have stayed at many 4 star hotels around the world, and this was a subpar experience. I would rate this a 3 star hotel at best. For the price we paid in comparison to other options in the area we would recommend you consider booking a different hotel.

Really unimpressed with this place. I wanted to love it - great location and they make it sound great online. But in reality, this hotel is one pain after the next. Would NOT recommend!

Staff was not friendly on arrival. In the room, the air conditioner didn't work and it was quite hot. We had to call the front desk 4 times to get them to send up someone to look at it. They couldn't fix it, and just offered us a fan so we weren't sweating all night.

This place also charges you for every little thing. You think you are getting a value, but it ends up being much more expensive. I expect that for this location, but if I'm going to pay this much, I expect the room to be in working order...

The only 5 stars is the location. Everything else is 1 star. They are said to be a 4 stars hotel but NO, they definitely bought the stars. The hygiene is ZERO. When we got in the room it wasn't hoovered. It's a disaster. Avoid, the best advice I can give! We were waiting for hours and when we got in the room it wasn't clean and the bathroom was a disaster. Google Maps doesn't allow me to upload the photos. Must be the filthy bathroom.
