Aquaworld Resort Budapest

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my stay at your hotel from January 7, 2025, to January 11, 2025. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I would like to highlight the following issues:

1. Serious Health Concerns:
The five children who were with me all became ill due to the lack of cleanliness in the swimming pool water. They suffered from diarrhea and vomiting throughout the entire stay. This is completely unacceptable and indicates a severe lack of hygiene and maintenance.

2. Poor Massage Service:
The massage service provided was far from professional. It felt more like casual patting rather than a proper massage. This fell well below the standard one would expect from a hotel of your reputation.

3. Issues with the Pools:

The outdoor pools were extremely cold, especially the second open pool, making them unusable.

In the first open pool, the exit door was broken, leading to conflicts among guests, which we had to witness.

4. Low-Quality Dining Experience:
The dinner menu was repetitive, lacking variety, and the food itself was bland and unappetizing. This made the dining experience very disappointing and not worth the value paid.

In summary, my experience was extremely disappointing. I will not be returning to your hotel, nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

I am requesting full compensation for the amount I paid due to the physical and emotional distress caused to me and my family during our stay, as well as the clear lack of adequate services.

I hope you take my complaint seriously and respond promptly.

This hotel is probably decent enough for families on a budget, but if you are looking for a relaxing stay this is not the resort for you.

The pools are rather small and have seen better days. Don't look too closely because you will find dirt at the bottom of the pools in the corners.
The silent pool is not silent at all because neither the guests have their children under control nor the rules are enforced by the staff. Even in the adult area where it is clearly stated that children are not allowed but nobody cares to take account of that and neither does the staff care to remind the guests. Despite a separate area exists where families can easily have their children entertained by animators even. The relax area is loud mess no matter where you put down your towels. You can't also get no fresh towels in the Spa/Pools areas but have to get some yourself from a separate floor in the hotel. The Sunbeds are uncomfortable and rockhard.
The Sauna area looks small an cramped in, so the resort can put it on the list of services to offer.

The rooms are fine if you plan to stay overnight. But the walls are paperthin so if you are in the situation of noisy neighbours you will hear everything they do...

The resraurant does not seem to be prepared to serve a lot of visitors. There is only one poorly organized buffet counter and you will find yourself waiting in line around 15-20 minutes at times until you can finally get food on your plate.
The food itself is good.
Breakfast was fine, but suffers from the same overcrowded issue.

There is a cantine in the pools area. But it shows clearly that efforts were made to save as much money as possible. The food does not look appealing. The dishes presented on the menu are not even all prepared.

Overall the staff is nice and doing their best. This resort has much room for improvement.

Old hotel, lots of dirt, terrible restaurant
The rooms are, as expected, worn out. However, everything else is much worse. At the beginning of September, not a single outdoor facility or bar is open. The whole environment is very dirty and unmaintained.
The hotel restaurant is the worst thing. The food is traditional Hungarian strong, spicy and fatty. And that would be tolerable if there were any. About half an hour after the start of dinner, every evening everything was empty and there was no food.
Also, children can forget about dinner. For them, every night is some kind of nuggets and that's it. Children can't even try everything else because it's very spicy.

The Aquaworld was closed to guests on Saturday. Why did I pay full price for my stay (2 nights from Friday to Sunday) and only get half? I´m deeply disappointed.
No replacement actions, no friendliness towards guests who paid for the whole package and only got half, that's outrageous.
Rude service at the dinner on Saturday! I took one bottle of Coca-Cola from the fridge at the dinner room, and I was disrespectfully warned by the staff that it is not for the guests, only for the Coca-cola company. How could I know that? There wasn´t any info, nothing, just a rude old waiter.
Another problem was the air conditioning, which we could not turn off, it works 24 hours with terrible noise.
And the last thing I have to say is that the food is poor, the quality is lagging, dry pasta, unseasoned dishes. Absolute dissatisfaction.
