Great location, away from the main city. Rooms dated, so a bit of an overhaul would benefit. Food good, breakfast excellent, coffee and drinks machines actually taste of decent drinks.
City sights beautiful, although we hit it at 37°, so hard going.
Recommend hotel for a short break, superb outdoor and indoor pools in a joining hotel.

The hotel is extremely beautiful, with a well-preserved vintage air, the island is extremely quiet with areas where you can walk through nature.The spa consists of 3 pools with different temperatures and about 3 saunas included, everything else is chargeable, including the salt cave.Our room looked quite good, but the wifi worked quite badly, the thermostat didn’t work at all, so it was quite cold in the room during the night.
In the 2 hotels there are 3 restaurants in total,
that's how it appears on the brochure, we have found two of them open with the same poor menu, about 10-15 dishes overprice.
Regarding the included breakfast, if you are a vegetarian or vegan, the options are extremely limited and many products are bought from the supermarket. The food part was really disappointing, I hope they will be more careful in the future.
Apart from these minuses, the hotel is worth visiting for the spa area and the beautiful location.

The hotel is in a great location with nice pools and a relaxing spa area. Despite its age, it's fairly well-maintained.
I would like to bring to your attention an issue I experienced during my recent stay at your hotel.
Upon my arrival, the gentleman at the front desk assured me that I would be able to charge my meals at the restaurant (brunch bar) and bar to my room, and that the charges would be added to my main invoice. However, this did not happen as promised.
In the evening, when I went to the bar for dinner, I specifically asked the waiter if I could add the meal to my room bill. He confirmed that I could, so I ordered my dinner. After the meal, when I asked if I needed to sign anything, a different staff member (girl) informed me that they were unable to charge it to my room. A manager was called over, and while I explained the situation, I found his attitude to be less than accommodating. Unfortunately, I did not have my card or cash with me at that time, so I had to return to my room to get my card and then go back to the bar to pay.
The next morning, I approached the same front desk employee, asking him to add the bar charge to my main invoice. Once again, he informed me that he could not do it, leaving the situation unresolved.
This is the first time I have encountered such an unprofessional experience at a 4 stars hotel.

We really loved this hotel with all its old world charms and enjoyed the beautiful park setting for walks. The hotel breakfast was exceptional and the staff were great. The free access to hot pools, outdoor pools, steam room etc was wonderful. We tried to stay here again on our return but unfortunately it was full. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great room size. Good breakfast. Wonderful thermal spa. Location away from city center so very quiet, but at the same time only 15min bus ride away from Center of Budapest. Our room was cleaned well every time.

Back from a 4 night stay last week, and feeling fully refreshed :-)
The hotel is located in a park on Margaret Island, which is lovely to walk through and so quiet after spending the day exploring the city.
A visit to the thermal baths and sauna in the thermal hotel next door was fantastic to relax after walking several miles during the day!
Breakfast was great with a lot of choice to set me up for the day, had a couple of evening meals while there and these were very nice as well.
Staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms very comfortable and quiet.
Public transport is available close to the hotel if you wish to use it, I enjoyed the walk through the park to and from the main city area. There is a 'big bus tour' stop just by Margaret bridge if you want to get to the sites further away.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel and really enjoyed Budapest, will be back again.

We had an excellent stay at your hotel and will certainly return. We were disappointed that the Széchenyi Restaurant and garden was not open for lunch and dinner; we had lunch in the cafe garden one day and dinner there on the last night. This was a real disappointment, with no taste and little flavour. The buffet dinner in the Thermal Hotel was good, but we missed the splendour of the Grand Hotel's Széchenyi Restaurant. The breakfast there was excellent, what a pity it was closed for the rest of the day. I assume this was due to the relatively small number of diners each evening, or maybe due to a lack of staff. I hope it will be open for our next stay.
It was my own fault that I requested a room with a river view, I now realise that a park view room would have been better - if possible a room with a balcony. Being on the first floor we could just about see the river, but next time we will request a garden view room. These are the things you learn from experience!
All the staff were excellent, and the hotel had a mixture of old-world charm and modern conveniences.

My family and I were very grateful for our staying in this wonderful place. Here, on the island, in a beautiful park with picturesque views of the Danube River, all of us, our family, who came here from different parts of the world, spend together unforgettable moments in peace and happiness.

Great hotel and facilities. Lovely location out of the city but equally very close so that you don’t miss out on anything Budapest has to offer. Great spa, gym and roof sunbathing terrace. Fantastic walks in the park around hotel and close to public transport. Great staff, very helpful in run up to and post trip (forgot something in room). Will visit again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is stunning, quiet and peaceful but also a walkable distance the hustle and bustle.
The spa is perfect to relax after miles of walking.
Breakfast was lovely and a good selection each morning.
Staff were all super friendly.
