Buda Castle Hotel in Budapest

The carpet and furnishings were a bit old, but overall, the room was clean and specious.
The location was very convenient.
However, a couple of things were disappointing : the fleshly painted wall stained my coat,and wall-mounted hair dryer was broken.
Although I didn’t include breakfast in my booking,I went to check it out,but the dining area was full. In the end, I had breakfast at another hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel and accidentally left my camera behind. Mr. Laszlo went above and beyond to help me. He kindly arranged for my camera to be shipped back to me, and I received it safely and I am very grateful for his help. I highly recommend this hotel not just for its comfort, but also for the outstanding staff who genuinely care about their guests. Thank you again, Mr. Laszlo!

The hotel is really nice, the room was spacious and clean. The staff was polite, breakfast was fresh.
The only problem we had was with smoking policy. There was info in hotel „no-smoking hotel”, there was card in the restaurant garden about „no-smoking area”, but during the breakfast sitting with kids outside we showed the smokers those signs and those people told us that IT WAS smoking area! 2 meters away from the „NO SMOKING” sign. There should be CLEAR signs that it’s smoking area, so that people with kids wouldn’t sit and spend time there.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and service is excellent! However despite the 4-star rating of the hotel, there is no restaurant, which is very strange. There is only breakfast (which is very good), and you can get a drink at the bar or maybe some fruit as a snack. Location is quiet and very close to the castle. Also, the hotel advertises air conditioning, but there is NO air conditioning. There is only whatever passes for fake air conditioning (like in most of Europe), which is probably centrally controlled. I tried to turn on the a/c, and when I came back to the room it was like a sauna! Unpleasant. You can only open the windows to cool off at night, and then you're at the mercy of people running their mouths and smoking right under your window. I wonder how many people know you could hear their "private" conversations perfectly?
Nice hotel but only for the cold weather months. For hot springs and summers, you will have to find a different location with real a/c.

A really great hotel in Budapest's old town on Buda side of the river. Great spacious rooms, close to Buda Castle and historical places but ....
The hotel gives you a very cold, almost dead like vibe.
The bar extremely small and always empty so none of the guests visits it.
Breakfast is tasty, but selection is small and very small portions are being placed for the guests to share. This creates a bad situations, when you want to eat something, but you have to wait 20 min for the service to bring it from the kitchen.

Lovely Hotel with excellent staff.
The reception team were always on hand to help.
The breakfast was very good with a good variety of hot and cold food. The staff were very attentive and it was nice to sit outside in the garden.
The location couldn't have been better in the middle of the Cadtle district with very good transport over to Pest.
Excellent restaurants and cafes nearby.

The Hotel is located with a 4 minute walk of the tourist attractions in Buda. It's a typical old building meticulously maintained and very well kept. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed, coffe maker, small fridge, the shower was great and the bathroom too. Service was professional and friendly and overall I had a great stay. I must point out that the breakfast was absolutely superb with every option imaginable. For the price and location, I could not have asked for more.

Beautiful location! The hotel is classy, cosy and has well appointed spaces in the bedrooms, the breakfast/bar room and generally a well laid out floor plan. Staff were friendly and helpful, although if you are driving, you must ask at reception for a ticket to reduce parking costs when you leave daily.

My superior double was big, yet comfortable and cosy. Plenty of storage for clothes, luggage, mini fridge and Nespresso with a kettle. The bathroom was big too but the decor is a little tired. However, it's relaxed, well maintained, clean and very good for staying in the castle district. Definitely recommend and would come back.
