Hotel Arno Bellariva in Florence

I must say, for a 2-star hotel I was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering the room, my 1st thoughts were "Oh my goodness, this is cramped and small". But to my surprise, a couple of things: (i) The hotel is next to one of the busiest streets in Florence and across from the hotel, is an open-air bar with a big-screen TV. There was some soccer game last night, and young people were drinking and making a lot of noise. However, upon closing the thick curtains of the room, I barely heard anything (and the road is next to the room and the open-air bar is across the road!). I didn't hear the road at all and I only heard something once when some cars started honking when the favourite team won the game. I also didn't hear the rooms next to me. So the rooms are basically "sound-proof". Just wonderful! (ii) The WiFi is excellent; I had to have some work meetings with the camera switched on, and everything worked perfectly. (iii) The staff are very friendly and I could check in early. (iv) I liked the breakfast variety, as there were healthy options. (v) The shower is AMAZING! Great strong pressure with nice hot water. (vi) Aircon in the room was great and work effectively, given it was 35-37 degrees Celsius when I was there. In summary, although perhaps a bit far from the city centre (but still within walking distance), I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. It's not even that far from the city centre, but a bit far from the train station (which is where I had to walk with a big luggage; so that was the only drawback).

The hotel itself was lovely, with clean rooms and good breakfast. The manager was kind enough to explain how we can get around the city in the best way possible while also guiding us about the local cuisine and avoiding tourist traps. Good service and connectivity. Appreciate his professionality and approach towards offering the best service possible with all the resources that were available. If not for the rains, would have loved to enjoy the outdoor seating for breakfast.

Great value for money. The rooms are clean, the staff is very nice and breakfast is fantastic. Visited on my own for 5 nights for conference purposes. Not far from downtown (half an hour walk through historic venues) or 15 minutes bus ride. Highly recommended.

Decent rooms to stay close by from city centre. Since its an old time hotel don't expect luxurious settings. The staff are friendly and help you if you approach them. We stayed there 2 nights, rooms are kept clean spacious to keep luggage, aeration was good. Since its old style we had issues with toilet flush which was very honestly and quickly taken care by the hotel staff. Breakfast could have been slightly better with some more bread/fruits option but served its purpose. Since for us we were in the city whole day this place was very close to public transport, river side bridge.

It's in a great location. The staff was very kind. They answered all our questions about the city. The breakfast was okay, but you can find much better options in pasticcerias nearby. The only problem with the room was the squeaky ceiling, because when people were moving around in the room above ours, we could clearly hear them.
