Very good option near the main train station in Firenze. We were checked-in hours before the regular time and we appreciate the flexibility. The staff was very polite and helpful, really interested in our well being. The rooms were spacious and clean, and well-decorated. You can find cheaper options in Firenze but having a full non-smoking hotel in Italy is always reassuring. The hotel is close to the Central Market and many restaurants and eateries. The only inconvenience is that the hotel was not storing luggage when we stayed there, so we ended up having to change our plans a bit because of that.

Nothing exceptional. A good Mercure.
Downsides:
- No own parking. They use a valet service from an external parking. Price depends on the size of the car, paid 29 EUR per day for a Toyota Corolla.
- Breakfast. COVID makes breakfast more difficult so they bring everything to you, but I judge breakfast by eggs they serve. I ate eggs on the first morning. On the second I skipped them. Nothing worse than scrambled eggs made from powdered eggs.
- A bit pricey.
Upsides:
- Big room, comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids.
- In the city center. Literally 5 minutes walk from Duomo, ten from Ponte Vecchio.
- Besides the eggs, breakfast is pretty good.

It's alright. The towels are a bit dirty. Breakfast was ok. The good thing is that it's right next to the Santa Maria Novella train station which is convenient. If you're looking for a place to stay for a night or two, this hotel will work fine.
The hotel room itself is decent but the biggest downside is the bathroom shower water leaks everywhere. It's a little annoying.
The reason that I gave a low review is because it is also pricy for what we're getting.
I will say that the staff is nice.

Really good! The room is huge, the beds large and comfortable, bathrooms very clean and modern, the shower wonderful! Definitely recommended! Breakfast good and staff friendly

A very good Mercure hotel, recently completely renovated. Modern and trendy decoration. Large rooms.
Especially the reception (Carla) is very friendly and helpful to give tips and hints about Florence. I would typically give a 4 star for such hotel, but the feeling of being welcome deserves the 1 star more.
Hotel is ideally located : 3 walking min from the station and 5 minutes from the amazing Duomo.

Best hotel on this trip yet! Sarah at front desk was amazing. Helped find an extra charger for us. Arranged for the champagne we ordered and even sent a fruit tray! She sorted out some laundry service for us as well. Safe to say we were pretty much the neediest guests ever for the first hour but it was all handled in stride. Well done Sarah. Expectations have been exceeded.

Except the reception and the Lobby ....then all negative

Rooms are clean, service is very good. Facilities within the room are nice. About what you'd expect for a chain hotel.

Good location and very helpful staff.
The hotel entrance isn't the best one.
Didn't received the room i booked, but even which we received was comfortable and with terrace.

Great Hotel! Location! Walking distance to train station. Friendly staff, they're always smiling and making sure that you're enjoying your stay. Room has a good size, with a nice bathroom and shower. If there is anything I could complain about, would be the WiFi, internet it's a bit slower that it should be.
