Holiday Inn Istanbul Old City, an IHG Hotel

A wonderful hotel. Staff were not only gracious but very helpful. I found it's location within Old Town to be close enough to easily walk to the major points of interest yet far enough away to be quiet and actually peaceful. This will be my future choice of hotel whenever I visit Istanbul.

We had a great stay here. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, though the glass bathroom door facing the bed could be awkward if sharing a room. It was a good location, near the tram and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The only negative was that we were on the mezzanine, where the business centre is. It could get very noisy, especially during break out times. I feel the area would benefit from signage reminding people attending meetings they are amongst hotel rooms.

Overall acceptable experience, the view of our room was super nice, food is also very nice (both breakfast and in room dining). Receptionists were super friendly and helpful, they even helped us find a reliable taxi to the airport (which i totally recommend to everyone!). The facilities are not exactly the newest and the amenities could have be better. The only thing I was really unsatisfied with is the cleanness, got really big stains on the curtain drapes, the backup blanket in the closet has mold... But other than that everything was totally wonderful. And again, the view was amazing! So I still can recommend in general I guess.

We were really happy with our stay. Large clean room with a balcony with a sea view, really friendly staff who were always around, and a Turkish hammam with no extra charge. We used the hammam (with pretty blue tiles) every day. A fantastic perk. The only things I’d suggest would be drinking water by the hammam and opening it a little earlier in the morning.

+ Great location, nice spacious room, breakfast had a lot of choices. I will stay there again.
- I didn’t like that I had to pay for early check in. I had sent a message that we were arriving earlier and i know it’s a courtesy of the hotel but I’ve never paid to check in early.
